Preventive maintenance is the answer. The key to keeping your equipment lasting forever is to operate it like an airplane. Coolant Replacement, Hoses Replacement, flushing systems. My old parts "appear" good. But they are rubber and plastic. SHELF LIFE &TIME Makes small cracks in the plastic and the rubber starts rotting. (Part of life people)!! Tex will help you research your transmission needs. Changing your fluids and filters at less than a 100k miles, then, every sixty thousand is the answer for me. Might be for you too. The price for preventive maintenance is much much cheaper Than the cost of replacing a transmission. Every time ! As a 40 year aircraft maintenance tech and inspector, it's important to find people to do the work that won't skimp or rush through it. AND, also follow manufacturers' recommendations, OR Prefered after market changes, Without charging you an enormous cost. So far, Tex's has fit the "bill" . No pun intended. No B.S.. Fast service. Overall good experience. Tex was able to diagnose my transmission issue with efficiency. The receptionist and tech team were kind and informative on what they found to be the issue. They told me my headgasket was warped and offered either a 6,000$ fix or a 12,000$ fix. My headgaskets were fine, I don’t understand how they get business
Great people & great service. Alignment was complete in a timely manner. After picking up truck, steering wheel was off center. They took it in right away and corrected it. Will definitely go back again.
go to a transmission shop for an oil change? One of my friends recommended them, so I did. They do all kinds of Auto repair work. It really feels like they are a family business. They kept good communication with me (I was in a hurry - and they had to run for the parts I needed). Polite, patient, professional - and friendly. I will be back and recommend them to my Lawrenceburg friends who need auto care.
Five stars honestly wouldn’t be enough for the team at Tex’s Transmissions. They took the time to talk through the issues with me and were incredibly helpful the whole way through. Their work was precise, clean, and very efficient. After my truck sat at another shop for seven months, Tex’s had it fixed in just three days (including part delivery downtime) and at a very fair price. I couldn’t be happier with the experience.

So pleased with the service at Tex’s. I thought i was gonna have a huge repair bill. They found the problem for free and charged me $16 for transmission fluid. You cant beat that anywhere. I was so happy I paid them to do another job the truck needed. In and out. Fair prices. Nice people

I had a small issue with my pickup truck. I figured it was the torque converter going out. They checked it over and said my transmission was solid. That my issue was in my rear differential. Turns out it only need a lube change and Friction Modifier added. So yes. They were fantastic. No problem with them in any way!!

I had a car towed in for evaluation when it wouldn't start. They are always very professional, and the repair they suggested corrected the problem. They also let me know I had a leaking water pump, that I was unaware of when I brought it in. I requested they replace it as well as the other repair. They let me know the cost of each step in the diagnosis and the repair before performing them. I value their accurate assessment of the problems and quality of the repairs they completed.
