I've recently changed where I take my scrap. Austin at Advantage Metals Recycling is an awesome fella cause he will explain the different types of metals like copper, brass, and so on. He doesn't just throw them in the lowest price category just because a piece or two may be less valuable. Instead he will pull out the cheaper product and explain why and where it should be. New receptionist needed, called and asked nicely if they take catalytic converters and asked if they needed my title by chance. Got an immediate no and had no regard for what I had to say and refused to point me in the direction where I could sell my cats. Take your business somewhere far from here and after seeing other reviews I was not surprised with my phone call.
The receptionist is very unfriendly. We called for price of metal and she was very rude on the phone, but it got ten times worse in person. She was not pleased with the way the title was signed, so we went elsewhere and had no problems. She was not helpful and we will not be returning. Do not recommend to anyone.
The receptionist is extremely rude. Walked in at 11:18 and she rolled her eyes, sighed and shook her head saying we close at 11! I said it says that you close at noon online and she just continued to shake her head and say it’s 11 and then refused to take our scrap. Will never return there again.
Somewhat new to scrapping and we went down with some bright and shiny number one copper from our old extension chords and we got cheated we only got paid for number two copper. So I'm going to have to seriously think about giving them my business anymore.
Fraudulent... They will NOT allow customer to see weight scale thus missing lbs of copper. PINCHED ends on a new line set does not equal #2 copper. Thievery!
Guy was friendly, but tried to give me #2 prices for #1 copper. I took a bunch back before he weighed it. And I wasn't allowed to watch. He 'forgot' to put the #1 on the ticket and I had to argue with office staff before getting back in line. The office guy paid me out of his own pocket. I'm a little ol lady, but I know my copper.not goin there again. Usually if they're trying to RIP me off,they're not friendly. So I'm sure he got me for more. Be aware of this place
About 8 months ago I left a very bad review because of one employee. He is still here but they have a new guy who is great second time I've dealt with him tells me when I make mistakes on what I think is a certain grade of scrap save me a lot of money today and even allows me to throw my cardboard boxes in their dumpster. Absolutely wonderful nice to have someone who cares about his job and the customer
I would definitely find another place to sell cans. The guy was lazy, sitting in his car when we got there and went back to his car to sit when we left. He was terribly rude and not social AT ALL. Did not help with anything and we feel we were cheated.
This place had a piss poor attitude evertime I came in VERY RUDE .... VERY UNWILLING TO HELP ANSWER QUESTIONS I HAD ABOUT SCRAP METAL.... WILL NEVER RETURN AGAIN ....I DO NOT RECOMMEND THEM TO CAN ANYONE
Brought in 800 lbs of 55 wire and 120 lbs of ground wire and they only gave me 190 dollars riddle me this? Scales have to be off and I'm definitely sure they do it to benefit and stiff people outta money
I would not recommend going there, the employ actually told me he didn't have time help me , isn't that your job dumbass?. l&m north side recycling is much better , the Mexican fella over there wants to help
Good prices and way more transparent about your material than other yards in town. The employees are knowledgeable and will pass that on to help you get more $$$
