Kirke’s has amazing and very helpful. Due to covid-19 I have been unable to contact anyone from the shop. I have parts for a 1988 VW Cabriolet that I need to pick up but nobody is in. Wish I could get these parts back as I am ready to finish my rebuild and cannot get my parts back. Someone please contact me.
Took a car in for some top-end noise. Suspected a timing chain tensioner. Turns out the head was bad. Being a car-guy myself I was a touch skeptical so I went in and Carlos showed me everything wrong. He wasn't making it up. The car was in bad shape.
They took care of us pretty well. It was a bit pricey in the end but the knowledge these guys had on Euro cars saved us a lot of time and money, especially over the dealership's outrageous pricing or a generic car-shop who doesn't know the ins/outs of some of these Euro cars.
Would recommend for sure, just know that this is a specialty shop, so it's gonna cost a bit more, but you get someone with 40+ years experience working on your car.
I took my car in for a timing belt change on Tuesday morning, and was told it would be done "today or tomorrow." On Wednesday afternoon, I was told "We're in the middle of the job; it will be done today or tomorrow." On Thursday morning I was told "We just started, it will be done today or tomorrow." Friday morning at 11am, I was told "It will be done in 2-3 hours." It was finally done at 4:30pm. The manager refused to offer a discount or do anything else to "make it right," and blamed me for misunderstanding their time estimates.
