I’ve had to call twice to see about my trash being picked up. I pay for my trash to be moved not for someone to decide while you can’t have that many bags on your trashcan when it’s not falling off just because the lid doesn’t close all the way no one does
Love this recycling center is affordable and easy to navigate. Would recommend any person that’s getting into trade business for them to take their debris here, for affordable and quick service! Very nicely kept for a recycling center! Friendly staff. Was a little surprised by the pricing though, thought it would be slightly cheaper. All in all, good experience and will return again!
I understand picking up trash can be a hassle but your latest news letter is just kinda ridiculous as in lazy and finding ways to get more money. 1. Your drivers complained bad enough to get automated collectors so they don't have to " get out of the vehicle". 2nd your newest letter just shows more laziness and frankly some entitlement as if the job isn't to "pick up trash". Literally thats the job to pick up peoples trash, does it matter how much trash they have? That youve over the years created limits? You surely wouldnt limit people coming to the center to pay you to dump trash. Requiring the breakdown of boxes or you'll fine the individual household? And taking photos of such? So isn't this what your machine does? The second it goes in your driver flips a switch to smash whats in there?. Not to mention the extra charge for a couple extra boxes is honestly ridiculous because those extra boxes "require the driver to get out". Penny pinching because of constantly complaining drivers. Its not because of the room or space at the center, because of i showed up with tons of trash paying to dump it there you would kindly take my money there. For decades a trashman sat on back picking trash up. Im not knocking the job but you've become so lazy that a couple boxes require more money because you have to get out of the vehicle to pick them up. How about the photos your taking? What are you going to do on when a business or homeowner sets it up and takes their own photos or household/business cameras to prove that extra money charged was just a lazy lying worker causing troubles because he's crying about 2 extra boxes and getting out of the vehicle. Sounds silly but I'll be the homeowner to purposely take a photo of my trash with the lid open just to see if 1 day I'm chaged extra for someone who just has bad day. Then what? If the city is who contracted you then the city needs to hold honest people to a meeting over these updates before its updated. A couple boxes only affect someone getting out of the vehicle. The vehicle crushes the content. Treat the people of the city better. Your last news letter was not for the people but yourselves.

Scale and payment staff very courteous, helpful and friendly. Tractor attendants helpful too. Only had one bad apple encounter in the hazardous waste drop off, though everyone is allowed to have rough days. I've used almost every service they have from dropping off to purchasing.
Latex based paint can go in the regular garbage. They take certain materials on certain days...so call ahead if you have questions.
Also if you get there early, just wait patiently for their hours of operation to start. Nobody is entitled to have a business open before their hours state.
I am looking for plastic barrels I recycle beer cans and bottles yesterday I asked but a girl was very disgusting when I asked her if they had those barrels she told me yes many but not to sell they have to treat customers well all the same as the others if they are Latino or Americans
Great facility! Very organized and I have never gotten a flat tire visiting this facility. They will accept dang near anything you want to bring in. Costs vary of course depending on the refuse you want to get rid of. Old paint cans, tires, wheels, tree branches, construction debris. No household garbage however. I was in there today and everybody was downright grumpy and rude. Must have all been having a really bad day because normally it has not been that way.
We use this facility often. We drive over from Nebraska to recycle glass. The employees are courteous, the facility is always clean and it is extremely easy to use.
Today, we did a “brush run“ with some cut branches from a tree that we recently dropped. Again, it could not have been easier. We drove up on the scale, waited for the greenlight, dropped our brush, and then went back and got weighed…all for an extremely low cost!
We could not be happier with Council Bluffs Recycling Center. Highly recommended.
A place to dump everything! Except Hazzard materials, very organized, plus you can dump your recyclables for free! Extremely cheap to dump trees and yard refuse. Employees are nice and informed if you need anything answered, right off the interstate easy to access.
It is a good place to get rid of yard waste and other debris. The prices are affordable and stay consistent. It is usually not extremely busy so you won't have to wait to get in or wait to pay for very long. Although one thing to watch for is stray nails, they are everywhere and sometimes near the main entrance. These can pop tires, but it is somewhat rare.
The girl that checked us in and took the charges for my refrigerator and stove was without question the most unfriendly self centered little individual I’ve had the pleasure dealing with in years!
She needs to be in another line of business and not involved with the public at all!!!!
Very poor customer service..
This place is great. I have hauled numerous trailers there full of old garage stuff for way less than a dumpster would have cost. Staff is very friendly and efficient. They do a pretty good job of keeping the nails cleaned up as well. Metal is free to drop off as well. I wish you guys were open on Sundays.
Great! They need a sign for procedures.. didn't know it was one in one out. I waited for a green light and some other customers were annoyed, telling me I didn't have to wait... confused
It is great to have this option in town, docked one star because there are nails everywhere on the ground on multiple occasions. Still happy to use the facility for debris, electronics, and just about anything else.
Was told I couldn't drop paint on a wed. Because it came from a home I sold in omaha even though I am a iowa resident very disappointed and was treated poorly by some one named kurt. I have dropped of paint there in the ast with no issues, this person decided to be difficult. And in welcoming.
I give one star, it's 745 in the morning on a Tuesday and there are 9 of is waiting to get in and they open at 8. I have been here in the late afternoon and they have had no traffic. hours of operation should be reviewed and customer service should be first!
Went there to get a 2nd recycling bin. The lady and guy working in the office were extremely nice! Very polite and assisted me in a timely manner. The lady even offered to carry the bin out to my vehicle for me. It's nice to go to a place here in town where friendliness and mannerisms are 2nd nature.
