This is the second time I’ve been treated like shit by the woman who doesn’t wear a name tag, I don’t even know why they would keep her as an employee I heard her tell a costumer that he needs to think about selling his vehicle, like hello isn’t ur job to try and make money not turn people away? There policy states that they can replace a battery under warranty at any location my invoice receipt wasn’t enough I had to pull it up o. The Firestone app then all of a sudden they could find it in there system after being there a. Hour they told me I had to charge my battery for them to test it hello it’s dead that’s why I went there it goes to the manufacturer anyways, most worthless employee I’ve ever met

Suzanne was extremely nice and explained everything to me so I understood what was happening. I received a report on my vehicle with pictures of the parts that they recommended to be replaced. It made me feel confident that they were honest and didn’t try to take advantage of anyone.

Absolutely amazing people and atmosphere. The lady who works at the front desk is very kind and treats customers very well. The gentleman who worked on my vehicle for a tire patch was very considerate and helped me out the best way that he could so I could get back on the road

If it was possible I'd give no stars for this place. Got my oil changed yesterday my check engine light came on while I was doing my second job at doordash saying I lost engine power. Call them they say they look at it the next day when I popped my hood there was oil everywhere in my dipstick wasn't in there properly. Also going through the diagnosis that they ran my turbocharger blew. Of course they took no responsibility for this at all even though there would have been signs if it was going bad there was absolutely nothing wrong with my car until they touched it. Looking into it and I was told by a mechanic also that an incorrect oil change can cause that this repair is going to cost me couple thousand dollars that I don't have.

Great experience. Had a slow leak driving from Denver to Cleveland for the holidays and had to stop here. Turns out the rental car had a nail or something pierce the tire near the wall and it had to be replaced. The new manager, Suzanne, got the approvals pushed through and got it replaced. She was calm and kind despite how busy it was. Staff was super nice and the work was quick. They seem to be rebuilding and they are doing a great job!

They did terrible service twice. Once they didn’t get the dipstick put back in and I lost oil while driving. The other time they broke my brake caliper and didn’t tighten the tie rod. 2.5 hr wait to get my oil change. Don’t use this place ever

I suggested this place for my sister who was here from out of town. She brought her vehicle in on 11/29 and was told the tires would be on and complete 12/2. She let them know she was flying to Florida and would be back 12/4. When she got there the car was not touched, no new tires and said someone quit on 1w/3 so they haven't been able to get to it. No apology, no nothing she took the car without new tires because she needed to leave that day to drive back home.

I’m not one to embarrass easily, but the other day the snow pulled back the undercover on my Honda Civic. My car is already pretty low to the ground, so it started scraping along the road on every bump and uneven surface. I had to pick up my teenage daughter from school for a doctor’s appt and run errands. So we drove all over Altoona. As I drove all the stares kept coming. My daughter was mortified. I went to Altoona Firestone with little hope they’d be able to look at my car that day. To my surprise, the heroes at Firestone swooped in quickly and secured the cover. Barely had time to play my mobile game. No more scraping! My car is back to normal, and I couldn’t be more relieved. Thank you, Firestone!

I didn’t even make it in the store. I made an appointment request which I had time slots from 12-3 or 4. I got a phone call on that day to tell me that they couldn’t get me in. The lady in the phone was rather rude. I have heard of multiple people having issues at this place, I was just in a pinch. I would stay away from this place.

Car just needed an inspection dropped off 3 days ago. Didn't hear anything from them for a day and a half and no one would answer my call. Finally got through to someone and said it was gonna be test driven again and they would get back to me. Another whole day goes by and no one calls me and no one answers my call still!

I had a great experience at Firestone in Altoona. The manager, Catherine, worked my car in for an oil change and completed the service in a timely matter. She let me know my battery tested bad and gave me a very affordable quote on a battery with three year warranty and roadside assistance. I will definitely be back for the battery and future car needs.

Mike did a thorough follow up before I left. I still had a headlight out. He made sure everything was in tip top shape. WAY TO GO!!

I have never had any difficulty getting an appointment and no matter how busy they are, desk staff have always been very friendly and polite. I get all of my oil changes here and got all new tires last winter. They have also checked out and taken care of other miscellaneous issues efficiently.

I was in on Tuesday for a tire quote to get tires. Was met with w smile buy Kaley . Gave me a great quote on the tires . will be setting up an appointment soon .

My husband had an emergency the night before halloween, the alternator and battery died on him in the middle of the road. Luckily he was able to take it to Firestone in Altoona. They were an enormous help. Mike, Jared and Kaley were so professional, friendly, and helpful. I would definitely recommend them to anyone who needs any sort of service or just a second opinion. We will definitely come back for any more of our vehicle needs.

Great customer service and Kaylee and Colten were a huge help. My car died while my dad was out for a drive and he managed to get it into their shop and they immediately got my car in. Found some underlying issues that without a doubt would have left me stranded at some point. Very knowledgeable and will be taking all of my vehicles to this location for all my future automotive needs. Thanks again.

I have been there three times, for alignments. Every time they are way behind the scheduled appointment. Once three hours behind. The lady who is there is not helpful, has excuses, doesn’t want to provide a resolution other then re schedule. The work won’t get done so you can’t fill out a negative survey. Instead of finding a good resolution she will just hang up the phone on you. I would go to another location. Or think about another company in general unless sitting in there waiting room is appealing to you.

The staff were friendly and helpful in getting me set up with new tires. Plus, there were a couple of rebates that I was able to use to get an even better deal. On top of all this, the staff worked with another warranty I had on tires to get one tire covered. All in all, a very good experience.

Made an appointment for 11a.m. on Saturday. Dropped my vehicle off at 10 minutes till. I was waited on by Mike Taylor. Explained to Mike what was going on with the vehicle and he suggested that Firestone do a complete inspection. I agreed. Mike told me he was waiting for a mechanic to show up at 1p.m. Mike then told me he will give me a call once the car was checked out. 5:30 p.m. no call from Firestone. 5:45p.m. I decided to go to Firsetsone. Get to Firestone and the door is locked. The time on my phone upon arrival is 5:52 p.m. I look in the store and knock on the door. A young lady came to the door and opened it. I asked about my vehicle and explained how we never received a call about it. Thank you to Kaley for taking her time to figure out what was going on. Mike left no notes, he put 12345 down as mileage, he charged for the inspection but put in the system no inspection was performed. Shame on Mike Taylor for wasting our time. Very unprofessional. Im not blaming Firestone. I am blaming Mike Taylor for not taking care of Firestone customers. On another note, I would like to say Thank You to Kaley!!!. She was patient and showed us that she cared while apologizing over and over. We all know what its like working with co-workers that dont care to do their job and leave it up to the rest of us to figure it out. I would of gave 1 star but because of Kaley I added another star. She was truly the star in this upsetting situation.

Kaley was truly amazing and super eager to learn on her very first day and asking all the questions. She was super sweet and while she was still learning, she did address every person who came in the door and let them know that she would assist them with the things she could but would have to wait for Kat when needed. They are both awesome and it's the reason I come to Firestone as everyone is so nice at this location and extremely knowledgeable and helpful.

We had a tire sensor / or tire repair on a Friday afternoon..Not good timing! We had to go out of town the next day for a class reunion. They said come. They worked us in and completed the tire repair as timely as they could considering that were busy on a Friday afternoon. They did a great job and we made it to the out of town class reunion the next day. Was afraid that we couldnt get the tire fixed until Monday. We are greatful and appreciate the extra time and effort that we recieved! Thanks again! Rande & Linda Seuferer

0/10 experience. Went to get my car serviced and they told me the diagnostic check would be 21.99 over the phone. Charged me 119.00 and they also said my engine was perfectly fine the only thing was my timing belt. They made it seem like they were going to replace the whole thing but they only replaced a cam shaft sensor which they never officially cleared that with me at all. Part was almost $700 but when looking at other prices for my specific car it was barely $200. I noticed about a week ago looking at the invoice again. Tried to call and they didn’t answer until the 3rd time they said they would look into it and call us back with more information because they claimed it was “sketchy.” Never got a call back. I had to be the one to call about 2 weeks later because today my car broke down on the side of the road. I’ve also come to find out they didn’t bother to double check to see if my air filter cap was back on. It was not. Unfortunately I trusted the wrong people and as a young girl I feel as though they took advantage of that. Payed almost $1,000 for this service. They wont give me a refund until I bring the car in but I’m just going to be taking the loss since they have absolutely shot my trust. Hopefully no one has to experience this.

Jordan was so kind and understanding in my moment of panic. Everyone working did so great getting things done quickly and effectively! As a young woman, you don’t often find mechanics who don’t treat you like you’re stupid because you’re a girl (even though my reason for coming in was pretty silly)!

Called to get a quote for them to replace the engine coolant crossover pipe on my tacoma and the guy on the phone refused to give me a price. His reasoning was he didn't want to diagnose over the phone. What I heard was I'm sticking you with a diagnosis fee regardless. Bad business, I was asking for a price to do a specific task, I was not requesting your diagnostic services.

Great shop that you can trust and that stands behind their work! Very satisfied, and grateful for Catherine, the service manager, and Jared, the mechanic! It's important that my vehicle stays rolling and Firestone in Altoona, IA made that happen! Will definitely be back!

Walked in to price tires and ask when they could install them. There were able to install the tires and check the alignment in 1.5 hours. Buffed some scuffs off my rim, too! Excellent customer service!

My family has used Firestone for years. Most of our experiences were 5 star, until this location opened. Nothing but incompetence and poor service. Our first experience involved tires being installed incorrectly. And now we have an engine oil cap that was not put back on leading to a huge mess. Engine is now knocking. When we let them know they said what do you want us to do about it, call the 800 corporate number and file a complaint. Well, it was the same thing they said with the tire incident and nothing happened. Beware this place.
