Avoid this company. Before calling them, ask clearly how much they charge per hour.
My trailer tire got stuck while I was reversing at a warehouse gate. I searched Google for a tow company and found this one about 3 miles away. The driver, who looked like the owner, came and pulled my truck out in about 5 minutes.
After that, he asked me to pay $1,500. I tried to negotiate, but he started arguing and yelling. He even called the police. While we were waiting for the police, he tried to fight with me and hit me with truck door. I was outside in the rain while I was paying Him got punished by higher-way robes.
My truck has cameras and everything was recorded. I had a load and was in front of the warehouse trying to deliver. I offered to pay, The police were present when I started paying. but he refused to take payment there and told me I had to go to his shop. I followed him and ended up paying $1,568.42.
Because of this delay, I missed my delivery appointment, got a late fee, and lost three days of work since it was Friday and the warehouse was closed for the weekend.
I believe this company has experience taking advantage of drivers. I plan to pursue legal action because I was harassed and physically hit. They also took a copy of my CDL and pressured me to pay before I could leave.i paid but he told me if will sue him he I need cash or check unless I can’t.
If anyone knows a good lawyer who handles trucking or harassment cases, please contact me.
As a truck driver, I really respect the profession of people who work and keep their semi shops.
But it is simply unbelievable that you sometimes dealing with CLASSIC SCAMS like this one.
They do not respect what was agreed, the price on the invoice is different.

Tony treated those involved with respect and kept our motorcycles safe and secure. I honestly hope I never have to see him again but if we need a wrecker he will be our first call. Thank you guys

Had tire issues and Tony's was recommended by the truck stop I was at. When his guy pulled up it appeared he was going to help me. A kind local gentleman had taken my ture and was repairing it. I only wanted them to hook up my vehicle and set it in the parking lot so I had a flat surface to get the tire on. The tow truck driver sat in his truck for a while and then refused to help and told me to drive it into the lot (risking damage to my wheel) and then he drove off. Couldn't help but notice that when my adopted son who is African-American and his friend came out of the truck stop is when his attitude seemed to change. I called the office to try and see if they'd be coming back, the person that answered belittled me and called me names. I did end up back on the road, but no thanks to Tony's.
Had a wheel bearing failure on my loaded trailer these guys were on the ball getting me trans loaded and back to their shop and back on the road in a timely fashion. Also Tony is a car guy which I also found pretty cool. Overall I had a great experience with these guys and will gladly recommend them to anyone in need of any help in the northwest Iowa vicinity
We hit something on highway 20 with our two little girls in the truck. We were losing air quickly from our truck tire. We lucked out and pulled off the highway and saw the sign for Tony’s. They got our truck into the shop, repaired our tire, and had us back on the road in less than 25 minutes! So grateful for their prompt and professional service.
Was lucky enough to experience my 10 ply tire blowing on my trailer today, then my spare decided to blow as well. At 8:47 p.m. I was able to make a phone call for service and keep on getting down the road to meet my deadline. A big thank you to Tony's tire truck and towing. I appreciate you. Wonderful professional staff and quick service.
Very good place as a flat tire after hours and they went to change it they charge you for after hours but I don't have to wait to long for my tire change
Blowed a drive tire out on I35 today and called Tony’s for a replacement. After giving them all my info and what type of tire I was wanting, was told it would be about 1.5hrs wait. Their service guy showed up on time, with the tire I asked for and the service guy was very pleasant and got me back out rolling quickly. Just wanted to make sure they know how much I appreciated them and to say thanks. 👍
They were helpful in getting me towed to a garage but left my axle out of my truck for the garage folks to reinstall. Could not move truck from parking lot and mechanics had to go out into parking lot and pull axle back on drive tires so I could move truck into service bay.
Horrible experience. Scammers. Do not trust these people! They will show up with a different bill compared to what you agreed on and hold your truck hostage. Make sure you have billing in writing or record your phone calls!
SCAM ALERT!!!!! Never take your truck here or hire this GUY,family owned business well known through Iowa for scaming people,he will put thousands of dollars in charges and refuse to take card knowing you will dispute it,he will ransom you for cash or he will refuse to release your trucks,We've reported his shop to Osha with video and audio evidence!!
I had a flat on the interstate and mark towed me to the shop. They were prompt and courteous. I would highly recommend this service to anyone in need. Exceptional service. He went above and beyond
They towed my truck across the street, warm it up, drained my frozen air lines . They are very friendly, helpful and quick to respond. They are little bit on the expensive side. Thank you team Mr Tony, Joe and my tower “forgot his name - sorry”
Absolutely wonderful, best shop I've ever been to, had the problem assessed in minutes and fixed in a couple hours. They were so helpful, kind and accommodating. Would definitely recommend!!!
3☆ only for the fact they were out here (4 miles from their shop) quickly. BUT $215 for a 7/8 NPT plug, when *I* did all the work, is literally highway robbery. Another shop trying to get rich off of every customer they get instead of building a repeat customer base. I don't care if I have to walk 10 miles the next time, I'll not use this shop again.
Dishonest. Claimed that the service call would cost $1.25 per mile in both directions but added $110 on top of it in the end. Highest service call fee I've ever paid. Ended up paying $419 for half an hour of work to get a temporary fix.
Flat out highway robbery. $30k to stand up a loaded truck. The owner and his son refused to give me a bill for my insurance company for 14 days, meanwhile they charged me $250/day for storage while my truck was parked in front of a cold storage shed to which they piled snow in front of. Absolutely worthless. There are plenty of other towing/service places around. Don’t waste your money
The link that goes from your shift column to the transmission broke in my GMC pickup truck. I was on my way to Mapleton Iowa and still had 2 hours to drive and the link broke when I stopped for gas across the street from Tony's. The truck had a trailer hitched to it that was loaded and the truck itself was loaded. This was a bad situation. Tony's sent two guys over to look at the truck during their lunch break. They temporarily reconnected the link so I could get to their shop across the street. Once there, they dropped the trailer, got the truck in and a few hours later I was back on the road. They were fast, very fair in their pricing, and the work was excellent. They saved me a lot of trouble that day. Great place, great people, great service, and great prices.
They fixed my grand daughter's vehicle. They had quoted one price to fix one thing and it was much lower. They were asked to do two other things on it and willing did it. With those two things added it only came to a little more than the first quoted price. You know the job is going to be done right and you shouldn't have any problems with your vehicle when you take it!
$175 for a tow from just outside of Kamrar. Ridiculous!! The guy on the phone wad insanely rude and I would never recommend anyone using this service. It should have taken 15 or less minutes to get to us and it took over an hour! They charge way too much, aren't friendly or helpful, and they don't give you a quote, just bark at you. DO NOT USE THEM, YOU'D BE BETTER OFF WAITING FOR ANYWHERE ELSE.
We were stranded between Alden and Iowa Falls on the night Sept. 2. A highway patrolman had suggested that we call them. We called to get a price, they quoted one, but we had to call our roadside assistance service to get it approved. It was, our service called Tony's but they not only turned down the job, they acted as if they'd never heard of the offer in the first place. They left us stranded in the middle of the night for two more hours before we finally got taken care of. Thanks for nothing, Tony's!
Huge shoutout to Tony and his crew!! I would highly recommend them to anyone who needs knowledgeable advise and trusted work on tires! We had issues with one of our tires on our fifth wheel and Tony got us in and back on he road quickly as well as gave us great advice on new trailer tires!! Thank you Tony!!
Had a back axle seal leaking on our RV and brought it in to Tony's. Without an appointment they got us in and out for under the estimated price and time. Friendly and honest staff.
We got in accident 2 hour's away from home.
Tony came and towed our car. He gave us a ride back to the shop and gave us a car to get home. He the owner was very helpful. Grateful for his help.
We had to return to clean out our car and return the rent a car. His worker was a different story grab the keys out of my hand.
He questioned why we need to see our car wasn't help he was pushy rude . There was no lights in the building is forgot a lot of things in my car .
All I know is our Insurance company wanted us to get there and clean out our car he was charging them outrageous prices to store the car.
Do not waste your time going to this shop. Called Tony at 8:30PM to get a tire changed on our truck. Told him my driver would be there in 30 minutes and he said that he would send out a mechanic. Driver waited for over an hour at the shop, while I tried calling Tony to see when someone would arrive. He never picked up the phone again after number of attempts.
