Just an all around sleazy place. I would think at my age I would know better than to even set foot on a lot like this. Now trust me, I've seen worse places in my life but this place is up there in the sleazy used car racket. Two stars because I've seen worse. ?. They sold me an old Jeep for $8000. We drove it 800 mi and came back to return it. The manager said due to its condition we can't accept this and wouldn't resell it. ?. I said you won't even give me half my money back? They said no. Just to see what they'd say I asked to give me just $2,000 back. They said no

Very positive experience so far with my new vehicle that I purchased from here shad and josh was very helpful and no pressure made the process easy.

I will never recommend anyone to buy a vehicle from them! Bought a vehicle drove it for 4 days not even 500 miles and the engine blew up! I called them because I was told I had 30 days through Bart’s and also purchased the extended warranty for 2200 dollars! I called them the next day and had it towed back out there and I had to pay the tow bill never reimbursed for that! My car sat there for 9 days without any answers and I called every day! I left voicemails for the service department with no return call. On day 9 the salesman called me and said “we think it’s the transmission control module and we can’t get that part it is on back order nation wide, we are really sorry we really tried to help you.” “You will have to take it to your mechanic!” 3 days later I was able to get it towed another tow bill I had to pay. My mechanic found that the starter was not firing so he replaced the starter and it would not start and there was a thud in the motor! With further observation my mechanic found that the motor locked up and due to the motor locking up it burnt up the starter! My mechanic called barts and he was told I bought the extended warranty I would have to call them! So I did and filed a claim they sent out an adjuster and found that there were metal shavings in the oil pan and filter and the oil on the filter was like gum and the oil filter was rock hard! Keep in mind I was told this vehicle was fully serviced when I bought it! That proved to be untrue the adjuster and my mechanic estimated that the oil hadn’t been changed in over 20k miles due to the way the oil filter looked. So they lied! So now the warranty company is voiding my warranty that I paid 2200 dollars for and will not cover the motor! My mechanic was informed that Barts was going to come and get the vehicle! I called them and talked to the salesman’s because the manager wouldn’t talk to me and he wrote a message and I was supposed to get a call back and have not received one! I gave them 22k dollars for a vehicle I drove 4 days and they fraudulently sold me a warranty that is now voided and they will do absolutely nothing! I also over the weekend talked to the manager at the Fort Wayne store his name is Adam and was told that all vehicles are serviced before they are sold and that maybe the salesman’s didn’t know that this one wasn’t serviced and sold it! So you sell me a vehicle that was not serviced and lie to me and now I’m responsible for 10k in repairs! No offer of help a vehicle to drive nothing! I will be taking this further because they sold me a lemon! I am now on day 21 with no vehicle and out a 1k dollar down payment along with a car payment and motor repairs! Had a bad experience at Barts Car Store-Columbia City I purchased a new car on Saturday, 7/26. When I bought the car I was only given one flip key/fob. Not even having the vehicle 6 hours. The key breaks, getting stuck in my transmission, causing me to have to call a lock smith to cut and re-program a new key. This process all together cost me $250. Andrew, or Josh did not disclose the condition of the key nor did they give me a spare. I texted Andrew Monday, 7/28 and Andrew said it shouldn’t be a problem to get it refunded to me. 7/29 I got a text saying that his manager said because they ended up giving me more than what my trade in car was worth, and that “they didn’t break they key” they were not able to refund me the full or half the amount of what the locksmith cost me. Very disappointed in my experience, and the lack of honesty from the sales team and leadership from this store.

Buyer Beware! I purchased a used vehicle from Bart’s Car Store and unfortunately had a very negative experience. The dealership did not disclose that the vehicle had a severely rusted frame—a serious safety issue that should have been communicated up front. While the sales process was smooth, the lack of honesty and failure to stand behind the condition of the vehicle was unacceptable. I expected a fair deal, not a hidden problem that now requires costly repairs or makes the vehicle unsafe to drive. I would advise anyone considering a purchase here to have the vehicle fully inspected by a trusted mechanic before signing anything. I can’t recommend Bart’s based on this experience.

The Good- Personable staff, car inventory is online and pricing seems fair and accurate The Bad- the car I went to look at, and bought, had a list of accessories on the window of the car. When I questioned Josh about items that were not actually on the car he said "well we get the list from a 3rd party". It should be part of their quality check to verify that everything on the list is actually on the car. This should be a standard operating procedure. It was pouring rain the day I went to buy the car, however, they had the car on the lot for months. Spending an hour when a car comes in to confirm that the 3rd party list is accurate is good service. If you go to Bart's, check the list before signing and driving, because Bart's is not.

I HIGHLY recommend checking out Barts for your next vehicle purchase! Shad and Josh are both amazing people to deal with!! They went above and beyond for me and didn't way more than they had to to make sure I was in a safe and reliable vehicle. Shad I'll be waiting for the for that concert announcement ? ?. One of the best experiences we have ever had with a dealerships!

I was referred to Bart’s car store by a friend who purchased a car there. I was greeted by Corey the sales rep. He showed me around the lot and asked me a lot of questions concerning the vehicles I was interested in. The next day he met me at the Columbia City store. He gave me all the time I needed to make a decision. No pressure at all. I purchased a Ford explorer sport The car was a 2019 63000miles. The car is more than I expected to purchase and I got a great deal on it. I am very happy with my visit and purchase at Barts. Corey went the extra mile to make me happy and to get me into a car I really wanted. Thanks Corey.

Went to look at a car that I saw online but it was at the Fort Wayne location, they let us drive one of their cars to go pick up the car we wanted to look at and bring it back to Columbia City. Shad was a great salesman that answered all our questions and went through the history of the car with us. I never felt pressured once to buy the car. Very honest and even honored the lower price from their website. Robert made the paperwork easy, it was overall a great car buying process! Highly recommend!

Do not buy any car or service from Barts. A year ago I bought a car from them. They told me that the brakes were brand new. I had to replace the brakes within 6 months. About 9 months after purchase the gear shift locked up and had to replace that. Just 2 months ago less than a year and half after purchasing the engine went out. 2 mechanics, including one from the Cadillac dealer said the engine needed to be replaced. Estimate cost over $6,000. Car is not worth that much. I called Barts and they refused to do anything. These people are shady and dishonest. Do not buy anything from them. Learned my lesson

Buying a used car isn't always easy, and let's face it, a pre-owned vehicle will never be perfect. But you choose one because you want to avoid the high cost and immediate depreciation of a new car. With this in mind, I took the plunge and bought a 2019 Mustang convertible from Bart's Car Store in Columbia City. Bart's had the right car for me and gave me a great deal on my trade-in. I did my homework and knew there would be some things to fix, but the price was way below that of a new car, and this one only had 38,000 miles on it. I'm happy to say that Josh and Shad were incredibly accommodating, even taking care of a few repairs I noticed right away with no questions asked. After a few weeks of tinkering and making the changes I wanted, the car looks and drives like new! Sure, I changed the interior and wheels, and maybe I even added a spoiler and a subwoofer, but that's just my personal touch! So, be wise, ask questions, and don't expect perfection. Find what feels perfect for you and make it your own!

I would give a big fat ZERO If I could bought my truck in March have drove 1952.miles only the sold me a warranty with no paper work provided had to call back to find about it.and the text me whatever the paper work is big help took the truck into shop for repairs to be told that they are not covered .1792 dollars later that fixed the wheel bearings and 4 wheel drive lock outs .warranty won't cover the repair as they. Consider it a wear item . Called over to Bart to speak with Josh left message no reply drove over to barts spoke to my salesman Robert told him about it gave him a copy of the paid bill . He was like inwill help make it right I told him meet me in the middle . Friday comes and goes no Rey from him . Text him today he texts back nope sorry . Ok well that's cool pay attention to this next statement . I ha e bought 6 cars from them over 7 years sent faimly and friend in .I guess that 800 bucks is worth it to lose and customer and people they know . I will never purchase another thing from them again have a good you guys inwill find a new dealer

I recently just bought a new vehicle from Barts in Columbia City and their staff is Awesome!! I worked with salesman Tyler Coyle and he was such a nice guy, honest about everything I asked and had the patience to sit there with me almost an entire Friday to work through the bumps in the road so I could drive home in my new Silverado that day. He listened to what I wanted and wasn't pushy and made this purchase easy and affordable for me. I couldn't ask for better people to sell cars, genuine people. Thank you so much again Tyler!! Needed a car ASAP, already had my approval, called up to ask if I could test drive the car that I ended up buying A 2020 Nissan Kicks SV. When I arrived Tyler Coyle had the car already to go, he answered any questions I asked, and if he didn't know he found out for me So decided to buy car, so then that is when Josh Stephenson stepped in to crunch the numbers, gave me options for how I wanted my payments to go and the choice of different insurances. When it came time to sign the final paperwork Robert Abrams stepped in and answered all my questions and explained all the zillion of pages you have to sign. All three guys worked as a team and helped me in any way that I asked. Very professional, friendly and knowledgeable. Even when I left and had an issue with a low tire from day 1, they told me to bring by and they would check it out at the service department. Guess it needed a new tire, so service department order me a new one and checked on a sensor for me, no charge, no questions asked. Didn't catch the service guy's name but there are only two, and both were very helpful and friendly. Had my car a week now and I love it. I WOULD recommend Bart's Car Store in Columbia City, Indiana to anyone looking for an amazing vechile, family oriented store, and great customer service. I was in a car accident on January 21. I was rear ended and totaled my car so Saturday we went into Bart. This was two weeks after my wreck to check out a Ford edge that my husband had seen we worked with Tyler and he was very helpful and very kind and understanding he was not pushy And the manager worked with us to give us a better deal on the vehicle. We are very happy so far with our purchase and would recommend asking for Tyler if you go to Barts There’s a picture of my new ride below

Great experience purchasing my 2015 Chrysler 300 platinum. Come to find out the driver side barring was bad a couple days later Zach and josh made sure it was properly taken care of free of charge also replaced the rotators and brake pads. Great people great business. They have my future business.

Bart's Car Store is by far the best around. Ryan Brandt went above and beyond to ensure my car buying experience was great. I received great customer service from Josh (manager) and Ryan (salesman). I would buy from Bart's Car Store again.

Great buying experience!! I would recommend anyone looking to purchase a new vehicle to contact Ryan Brandt! We showed up late on a friday right before closing. Having driven an hour to look at a truck, we decided it wasn't quite what we wanted. Ryan took his time (even though they were closed) and showed us several other vehicles. Once we were set on what we wanted. He let us take it home for the night to make sure it was what we wanted. Was no pressure from him to buy. Overall it was a great experience.

I couldn't ask for a better experience with these guys. The communication from Zach leading up to the appointment was great-- not pushy at all, super professional, and instantly made me feel at ease. The buying process itself was just as great. Took the car for a test drive and immediately noticed that it was immaculately detailed. Everything they said online about the car was 100% true...I knew about two miles down the road that I was going to buy it. Just had to drive it for a few more minutes so I could finish out a song on the radio. :) They talked me through next steps, gave me my different options, and worked past the closing time to make sure I got a great interest rate with a local credit union (which took 25 minutes-- yes, only 25 minutes) and had all the information I needed to drive home with my absolutely beautiful new-to-me car. I worked with Chris on the final details of the loan and he took a few extra minutes (again-- past their closing time) to answer the questions I had about everything. Lastly, and I know I'm getting into the details here, but their coffee was so good. Not sure if they're buying that high end top shelf imported stuff or what, but between the customer service, the beautiful car, and that borderline addictive coffee, I will never buy another car from anywhere else.

From start to finish the guys at Barts in Columbia city were Great.They worked with me in finding My perfect truck,and when I did they had the latest history on it so that I was able to make an informed decision.They gave me fair trade in on my old 95 GMC jimmy, which was more ready for the junkyard then anything,but it was like they said everything has worth. That is what Im talking about they treat their customers the same way,that everyone has worth . If your in the market for a new Car or Truck hurry on down to Barts they will take good care of you.

Awful, tried to sell a 2007 Dodge Ram Laramie off the website by hiding its flaws. As I was ready to drive out to take a look at it they mentioned the 7 inch display was seized up and not working. I asked if they have had the vehicle inspected, they said yes and it was in great working order but some minor cosmetic issues (rust on rear wheel wells) no problem. I get there and he has it idling waiting for me to get in. Exhaust fumes are billowing out oddly, I take a peak down, the entire back half of the exhaust is missing. Pictures below. Took a test drive, 4x4 was shakey, gas meter is broken, engine light on, paint flaking, chrome on tire flaking, power locks dont work. Did I mention the exhaust was missing? I confronted Brandon after the drive and said how if the vehicle was inspected did they miss the fact there is no muffler. He beat around the bush, not answering the question and giving me the run around on price. It was pathetic. They lied to me on the phone, website is deceiving, kinda shady all around. My cousin bought a lemon from here and warned me, I should have listened. Stay away!
