Very unprofessional and they tend to scam. They were dispatched to impound the truck and after their guy came and drove off the truck he said it won’t be more than $800 just to claim it later to be $1500. They only accept cash and that tells you everything you need to know.
Double T provided a service none of us want with promptness and professionalism. Unfortunately, I was involved in a collision which left my vehicle in a state of immobility. Double T was dispatched by the Munster Police Dept and responded quickly. Thank you for that as the night was a COLD one and we were glad to be on our way quickly.
At a time when a stressful event occurs--your car needs to be towed--I want to say how WONDERFUL Double T Towing in Griffith, IN is. They came so quickly, the gentleman was so kind in speaking with me, gentle in getting my car onto the towing vehicle, and made the whole experience as good as one would hope. Great service, great people, great customer service as well.
Customer derived is terrible and very unprofessional, they only take one form of payment even if you have lawyers working with you. Won’t tow anything to your house, and make up lies about the condition of your car. Charge a ridiculous amount a day for storage, and are not helpful in any way no matter how hard you try.
I had a terrible experience with Double T Towing Recovery and would never recommend their services to anyone. My dealership was in need of their services but was shocked to find out that they refused to assist us with no apparent reason.
Their customer service representative was unprofessional and refused to give me any explanation as to why they were declining our request for their services.
As a company, we expect to be treated with respect and given a valid reason for any refusal of services. Double T owing Recovery Tow Truck Company failed to provide us with either and as a result, I would strongly caution others against using their services. They are unreliable, unprofessional and clearly lack any sense of customer service or compassion. If you're looking for reliable and trustworthy tow truck services, look elsewhere and steer clear of them. Fortunately we were able to find another tow company that was willing to assist us the same day for a lot less money.
We had an unfortunate car accident on Christmas Eve where we were more than 10 hours from home, Tom came out to us on the tollway and not only towed us back, but kindly stopped at a gas station so I could get my kids a snack, and then let us hang out in his shop until we were able to find a rental vehicle and a Lyft on a holiday. He had family things to do but stayed and accommodated us. Then, after all of that, helped us by finding other services to attempt to make our wrecked car situation easier since we were out of state. We could not be more grateful for his kindness and hospitality! Thank you again, Tom!!
Very over priced crooks! Hit a pot hole on 90W blew 2 tires out July 3rd. 200 tow bill and 100 storage fee even though they were not available July 4th. Crooks! Nasty business.
Double T’s helped us out in a major jam. One of our rollbacks went down. Very professional and on time. Courteous and patient when we didn’t know what to do Double T had had our back
We were traveling through the area on a cross country road trip when we noticed smoke coming from our car. We eventually were put in touch with Double T towing and they came to our rescue. Brad was beyond helpful, extremely professional and made us feel safe and comfortable during our worrisome adventure. We cannot thank him enough for his assistance with towing our vehicle. My almost two year old was mesmerized by the tow truck which helped keep him occupied. We are beyond thankful for Brad at Double T Towing and would recommend them to anyone in need of a tow!
Control arm broke on my car and needed towing. Brad came out and took his time getting the car on his lift being careful not to cause any other damage to my vehicle. I appreciate the customer service and highly recommended this company.

Car stalled on tollway. Police dispatched the company and told them to just bring a wrench. Needed the battery cables retightened.Guy shows up and claims he forgot the wrench. So he towed our car to a gas station 30 miles away so we could by one. Then he pulls his wrench out from under his seat. And charges us $180 for an unnecessary tow and lied about it. Definitely DO NOT recommend!! Worst company out for a quick buck. Scammers not really out to help.

On a busy Saturday morning I was in need of a jump start at the Portage Travel Plaza. Double T was dispatched by the Hoosier INDOT Highway Helper program. I would highly recommend this business to all in need of towing or vechile starting service. The driver Lloyd was prompt, professional and courteous. When the jump pack didn't have the juice to start my van, Lloyd went right to work, hooked up jumper cables and got me started. The driver stayed to make sure my vehicle would start back up, and yes it did. Thank you Double T Towing for being available 24/7 for breakdown assistance. ?
Really pleasant people in what would normally be an unpleasant situation. I run a Chicago rent a car office and they received one of my stolen vehicles recovered by the Munster PD (thanks MPD). Also absolutely the nicest cleanest facility I have been to, feel free to wear your good shoes here!
Cop helps me off highway because my car broke down. This company towed me up the street to there shop and not to my destination. I give them my contact information and address. I attempt to call with no luck. When i do get a response they are charging me $2000 for my $500 car to be released. That is not inclusing the tow i originally needed. They they want to charge me for them sending paperwork to the state to send a letter to owner stating to pick up my car. Yet told me they dont call customer unless insurance company needs to contact them. I dont understand. They could have just called me. Also they clame to be 24h online but told me the office closes at 4:30pm Monday thru Friday and will have to call next time.
I had a great experience calling them ! They showed up when they said they would, the price was as reasonable as it could have been i guess for a big truck service call, and the gentleman that showed up was very helpful and professional! Thank you for the rescue and the professionalism and a fair price! I will call again if ever needed !

I had the pleasure of getting towed by Victor today, after a cheaper tow truck company failed to show up after I confirmed with them a date and time. Carol who manages the phone calls is very rude and everytime I called asking about my car she would say to call back because they were on lunch. Funny how lunch is a different time everyday. When I finally got a hold of them they said the car was junked because it had been there too long.... another experience with this company I had called for a tow and they wanted to charge me almost double what other companies quoted me and again carol was very rude, making comments that were completely irrelevant.
Lloyd was a life-saver on Labor Day! We had lost a wheel on i90 and he showed up quick, took control of our truck, hitched up our trailer and hooked us up with a great place for repair. He even dropped us off at a hotel since we were 6+ hours from home. An amazing tow-driver and one of the most helpful people we've met! We hope to never need you again, but felt beyond lucky to be able to have your help when we did!
I ran into car trouble and contacted Double T. The call taker was helpful and courteous, and the wait for the tow to arrive was relatively short. When the driver, Joe, arrived he was meticulous with loading my vehicle and dropped it off at the shop of my choice with care. These guys are the best and I would recommend them to anyone. Thank you.

I picked up my truck to find just about everything missing. IPOD touch, Beats heaphones. They even took my suitcase with shaving razors. EVEN MY TUBES OF TOOTHPASTE. This is a very sketchy and shady place. 2 thumbs down. way down.
