I regularly scrap kitchen equipment and other heavy items there. If you want the most money out of your scrap metal, separate the aluminum from the copper from the stainless steel from the regular steel, each of those are paid at different rates. Otherwise if you just dump a truckload of stuff, you get the standard per ton rate at the time, which does vary, and is the lowest compared to any of the more sought after specific metals.

Great place to recycle electronics. I dumped a couple pins full of old cords, DVD players, controllers and other miscellaneous e-waste. I also received a few dollars from recycling the electronics.

Hugo was very helpful on the phone and in person. Midwest PGM is the only re-cycler out of 10 I tried that paid the current rate per ton for scrape. He paid three times as much as other quotes in cash. Fast, no hassle.
