So I broke down at 9pm on Monday night. I'm needing a tow home so I call J and S. I have towing on my insurance but thought I'd use local help. Well the person who answered the phone sound tied and when u told him I need a tow and mind you I'm in town, in Sparta, he's like all is 85 for after hour tow and 65 during business hours so I suggest you call me back in the morning and save your money. So I got left there and had to wait an hour for someone to come from Belleville to tow me. Sorry I won't be calling J and S any time soon.
Negligent drivers. Their driver backed into my vehicle while unloading another and drove off. They then deny all accountability.
The police did not find them “not at fault” but rather had insubstantial evidence. Their professionalism amounts to saying “we’re going to deny it”
I had to call a tow truck and within 2 hours I was in the truck with Chris on my way back home. Chris was the kindest, friendliest, most personable tow truck driver you could imagine! He made me feel comfortable and I wasn’t worried about my safety! We talked about everything for the hour drive back home and I couldn’t be happier that he was the driver who showed up! Thank you Chris! The dispatcher was also kind and helpful in giving me a closer eta for Chris! I would recommend their towing service if you happen to be stuck in the area!
Made a bad move and got stuck in the mud. Called J&S, and Chris & Reese showed up within 30 minutes. I was soon back on the road. Reasonable price and great people, great service. Professional and courteous.
My experience with them was great!! They arrived in well within a reasonable amount of time and were very professional. They had me out of the mud and back on the road in no time at all!! Highly recommend them if you ever need a tow!!
We needed to get our car towed from Steeleville to Marion, Illinois. They asked when we needed to have the car towed and we said ASAP. They ended up working with us and told us they could do it the next day. Thank you!
They were very polite & friendly. They didn't take anything out of my vehicle (I've had this happen at Multiple tow Yards). And they worked with me on the cost so I did t have any issue getting my vehicle back!
Used to be a decent place, now I would not take my bicycle there for repair, most unprofessional place in the state. 20 percent of repairs to my truck was there mistakes., Over priced. If you take anything there, prepare to wait a long time for it, they will mess your equipment up and charge you for fixing it.
Very knowledgeable and always able to fix whatever issue I’m having at a reasonable price. They treat their customers with great respect and are always friendly.

They are decent..but when I call and my particular situation requires me gathering things needed and calling back and I get a different person each time and because nobody has taken a note for whoever answers the phone them it's a huge stressful experience!! Having to re-explain over and over just to get a step further is ludacris
We seem to visit this shop more often than sometimes our pocket book allows, but I would recommend J&S Auto Service to anyone that wants the work done right the first time. I will say their prices are a little high but they do quality work.
