This place was AWESOME!! Great to see all of the many things that were saved and will be reused, repurposed, and reenjoyed. They have cool old mail slots, hinges, key hole covers, door knobs and so very much more. All intricate and well made. Back when things were made with pride and in America. IF you're remodeling your house, want to change things up. I'd suggest coming here.
Good store. All kinds of old house parts that are real wood/ ceramic/ bronze and will look great after some restoration. Prices are not at the thrift store level though. I am leaving Peoria soon and was going to buy kind of souvenir door knob for around $25-30. Surprisingly the one that deserved attention was $80. Otherwise very interesting place to visit. This place is amazing! The young ladies who were working the day I visited went above and beyond to help me with something I was trying to find. Fun place to explore and so many neat salvaged items. Got salvaged barnwood for $1/board!
Very friendly! They have a lot of antique door knobs/handles, woodwork and metal grates. Several local items that many be of interest if you are from the area. We will definitely keep an eye out on their website for new items so we can stop by again.
Owner was very knowledgeable about home furnishings, decor, fixtures and building materials from the early to mid 20th century. She was not hesitant to offer alternative resources or businesses to help locate those especially hard to find historic items. I do wish they were open more frequent, but I believe they will open up after hours with an appointment.
Only visited once so far, since they are still getting their regular hours together, but it's truly a treat!
The owner is super friendly and they have a ton of great stuff! Even if you don't plan to buy, it's worth the visit just to walk through and see all of the interesting artifacts.
