They paid a good rate for a junk car I hauled in. They are definitely set up for commercial customers and not your average Joe with a bucket of scrap iron. Employees arent really gonna stop and help you out, but that makes sense as it looked like everyone there had been through a million times.
Go through the entry scale and get weighed, follow signs for the shredder, wait in line to get unloaded by a scrap handler, go get weighed on the exit scale, park and go inside to get your check. Use your brain and follow someone with the same stuff you have.
I would not go here with less than a few hundred pounds of scrap. They are simply not set up for it.
Absolutely embarrassing customer service. When calling to ask questions, employees are rude, condescending, and rushing to get off phone, displaying a lack of patience and consideration for potential customers. I'd say "do better", but after speaking to 2 different staff members, it doesn't seem they have the capacity to.
Incredibly rude staff working inside. It was my first time so of course I didn’t know what I was doing. The man was rude and condescending. It was very off putting because what is the reason for you acting like that? You go into the scrap yard and there’s nails all over the place. Go inside for payment, couldn’t hear the guy talking and he wouldn’t speak up even after I told him I couldn’t hear him. Fed up I just told him I can’t hear you but I’ll figure it out myself. Definitely not a good experience and definitely not worth the $7.
Rip off. You get more for scrap in Canton. Guy working the scales plays on his phone completely oblivious to anyone walking in. I stood at the window while he was on his phone. Eventually just walked out and asked someone else the question I had.
