These people are rude and I dont understand how they got anyone giving them 5 stars. My husband got into a head on collision and was taken to the hospital so the officer called MrTowits. After that its been hell dealing with anyone in MrTowit. We've called asking to get his stuff since the vehicle has been a total loss and they been nothing but rude. When we first call they didnt give us much of the cost or how to get our stuff. They just keep telling us pay the bill and come get the things. Only after the 6th call is when they finally told more info on how it works or the cost. They charged us over $700 for 1 day of having the car. By the time we had the money to get it out it was over $1200. Even when we came to pick up the car and gave them the money they were rude. After giving them the money I asked where will they drop off the car so the other tow company can get it and they keep telling me across the street only. They owner or the boss then close the glass window on me when Im trying to clarify where.They got over $1200 for just picking up a car, ripped us off our money and still couldn't be a tiny bit nice and respectful.

SCAMMERS! I had an employee get his car impounded with my businesses tools in it. Welders and other expensive things. It was his fathers car and his father had past away a few months before. They took inventory and knew what was in the car the day they took possession. When he went back to pay they refused to release the car and belongings (including my belongings) to him because they said the car wasn’t in his name even though he had the death certificate with him. I went with him and had my receipts for the tools. By IL law they are supposed to give you 30 days before they scrap the car. It was towed on the 27th. He got the letter later obviously, then they crushed it on the 12th of the next month. We went there and they claimed they “send the cars straight to the scrap yard and don’t go through them or even look in them.” Does anyone really think my brand new welders and other tools in the back seat really went to the scrap yard……..? Yeah neither do I. Not to mention we did talk with another tow yard down the road and they said “oh no way… they always clear out vehicles before they go, it’s free money. Tow companies always say that to avoid confrontation. Plus it’s a liability, they have to check out the car to make sure someone or gas tanks aren’t in the car before scrapped.” They scraped it early just to simply steal my equipment. And now my employee has no car because they refused to release it to him although everything was legit. I hope those scamming thieves get what they deserve. Currently looking into legal action. It may not be worth it but it’s a matter of principle. If you are weak minded and crooked you shouldn’t be in a line of business where you can take advantage of people because your morals will continue to slide even further. Do not let these guys tow your car. You might as well just light your car on fire if you have anything nice inside of it.

Husbands truck broke in the front end on the way to work. Called and had a driver out and truck loaded and headed back to our house all in under a half hour! Thank you Mr Towits!

My husband was in an accident last night (12/1). The police officer called for a tow and Josh from Mr Tow It's came to pick up my Suburban. I told him I had about $300 worth of groceries in the back. He asked if he could bring them to my house for me. What a wonderful experience during a crappie situation. He was professional and kind. Thank you!!

Zero respect to customers. They will hang up on you if you ask for a another receipt for the insurance company because the dealership lost it. Do not recommend this shitty company to anyone

Mr Towit’s had my parent’s vehicle picked up and hauled quickly and effortlessly moments after a phone call requesting a tow. I know I can always count on them!

Hands down the absolute worst tow company around. Attitudes and service are both not even deserving of one star.

No respect given at all when you talk to these people. Don’t ever let the police get them to tow your truck they will lie to you about everything just so they get the tow. They will yell at you like they are above you. Absolutely disrespectful

I had an unusual recovery situation that required experience and ingenuity. The operator arrived quickly and got the job done. I would recommend and would use again.

I have used Mr Towit's on several occasions. The drivers have always been friendly and helpful. I appreciate them fixing my vehicles in a timely manner!

This company LIES and takes advantage of customers who are in a time of need. 'We do not accept insurance payments' - YES THEY DO 'We only accept cash' - This is a lie They would not provide me any form of invoice or paper trail of my bill. DO NOT PAY in this type of scenario when they only accept cash - you have no idea how much the actual bill is and the worker is likely inflating/pocketing money.

Highly recommend this place!! One of my friends was in an accident and had her car towed here. Her and I went to pick her car up but had some difficulties due to how damaged the car was, and being younger the guys there were extremely helpful, helped us in many many ways. They made the situation not as stressful as we thought it would be. So thanks again !

This company gives all tow companies a bad name. Pure con/ rip off artists. Convinced my brother in law his truck was worth a fraction of the actual value of it, jacked his tow bill 3 times what it should have been, was threatening and imposing, and tricked him into signing over the title of his deceased father's truck. All over an inflated tow bill. Absolutely disgrace to the industry. Furthermore, the peoria law enforcement that keep sending business to this company should be ashamed of themselves. Do they not look at reviews or take into consideration the experiences of other citizens that they have delivered to the hands of theses villains? Terrible company, and shame on the law enforcement for allowing and enabling this company.

My son just had a car accident . His car needed towed. The police ended up calling this con artist who charged my son 450 something dollars to get his car out the same day. I myself run a towing business and a mechanic shop.at the rates that these people are charging what a disgrace to the industry. I hope they shut down real soon Don't ever use them if you have the option find somebody else.

Jeff was there on time, was flexible, and even consoled me when my neighbor started to harass me. Two thumbs up! A great straightforward affordable price too.

We broke down at 1 am I called 5 different companies no one would come out until I called Mr Towits and they came immediately! The driver was awesome he even found my wheel in the weeds! I will definitely be using these guys from now on for my company and my personal vehicles!

Fantastic company and I absolutely recommend. From moment I called for a flatbed the gentleman who answered the phone was very professional and had a driver en route immediately. Driver Jeff arrived in less than 15 minutes. Jeff was very quick and had vehicle on flatbed and headed to auto body within minutes.

I wished I could give these people 0 stars. They are thieves and liars how are they even still in business after all the unprofessionalism? My car was hit (wasn’t my fault) they got on the scene didn’t ask any questions about where the vehicle should go didn’t communicate price or anything. When I called to check price and get a breakdown of the charges a guy named Donnie who claimed to be the owner was very rude didn’t want to answer the questions added charges that shouldn’t have been added to my car and then hung up on me. They told me not to come on their property and stole charges money and other personal items out of my vehicle. The police should stop calling them. Then my insurance tells me to call and release the vehicle to them, (Donnie) said ok but never put it in (in an attempt to get more money I’m sure) so 3 days later and my car isn’t released and the new person that answered the phone stated it wasn’t released yet because I didn’t give permission when I called and was confirmed by the owner . The worst worst worst ever do not recommend‼

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ for Josh who actually towed the van. He was professional and helpful. I missed a few personal things from the van and needed to go to their location to retrieve what remained. Before driving the 45 minutes to their lot, I called to confirm that insurance had released it and that someone would be there. Their phone tree took me to someone who gruffly informed me "we already told you your vehicle was released, we're open till 5". Great! Earlier in the day the adjuster had told me it was released. Shortly after checking in, the conversation QUICKLY escalated as I thought everything was in order but they had no record or recollection of the adjustor's call earlier in the day or my phone call 45 minutes earlier. I thought I was behaving in a reasonable manner but then the owner came out with his attitude BLAZING! I was stunned, but still wanted to get my items. I apologized for anything I had said or done. As the sign says, they record video and voice 'to stop any confusion'; I'd gladly review the entire interaction with the owner. I'm sure they deal with some 'special' people, but there is no excuse to treat anyone with disrespect. The two photos are an indication of the tone I received upon entering the office. I was NOT impressed. They have good equipment and Josh was professional. The office not so much on this day, at this time, with me.

The Quickest and Most Economical in Peoria IL I was home for a quick visit riding around with my bestie when her car suddenly started having problems. It was a Saturday night, they're was a Frisbee Golf tournament in town, and we'd called 5 other tore companies with no luck. This tow service was the 6th, and they got driver to me before the others even called back. They were also much less expensive and the guy was professional and nice. I was able to pay electronically on right there and got an electronic receipt. Thanks guys

Donny and the team took great care of us following our unfortunate accident. Very friendly, flexible and assisted with our need to grab all of our belongings from within the totalled car before insurance company towed away. I recommend this company

Could not be happier with the service I received from this company. I hit a patch of ice on a snowy day and needed a tow. And within 20 minutes they were there to help. John was an incredibly nice guy and even gave me a lift back to my house. I'm very thankful to have had his help in my time of need. Thanks John!

Donnie and his staff helped me out when my vehicle died. He went above and beyond to help me and I can't thank him enough. He is very straightforward and honest, I appreciate that and will be back time and time again as needed.

Called and asked them to tow a car to the Mazda dealership. Called the Mazda dealership the next day they never received the car. Called the company back and the guy that runs the operation had no idea what I was talking about. Told me not to get huffy puffy with him even though I was completely professional. Avoid this company. They are incredibly unprofessional, rude, and frankly have no idea how to run a towing business. My car sat unlocked for 24 hours in downtown Peoria when it should’ve been one hour. That’s unacceptable and I will never use them again. I will also tell every person I know how incredibly poor their performance was. I should’ve known better based on the other poor reviews. AVOID AT ALL COSTS

Donnie and his crew are amazing! My truck threw a rod through the block after coming back with my daughter from Chicago. They were there in less than 15 minutes. Extremely professional in communication, safety, and loading and care for my vehicle. I only exclusively use Mr. Towits for all of my tows and reccomend them to everyone that i talk to. You will not find a better crew or company. Keep up the good work! Go Cubs!

I totaled my car around midnight on my way back from work earlier this week. I swerved to avoid a raccoon as I rounded a curve (bad move) and lost control of my car. I careened off the road and bounced off the guardrail and smashed into a drainage ditch out of view from the road. Luckily, I was unhurt. I called the police. They called MrTowit's. And within an hour of my call they were there to pull my car out of the ditch. Charlie quickly assessed the situation and called Donnie (the owner) to bring a boom truck so they could lift the car over the rail and not drag it through the neighbor's yard. He was personable and thorough when communicating with me. Since I only had liability coverage, my insurance wouldn't cover the cost of a tow. Donnie was friendly and more than helpful in arranging the best solution. He honored our agreement to the detail when I went to pay him a few days later. I was very impressed with these guys. They really helped alleviate the stress of losing my vehicle. 5 stars.
