Every time I come to Pontiac, I visit. The collection is so large they rotate cars and displays so it is new each time I go. Highly recommend.

This is a very cool museum with lots of cool cars and other memorabilia surrounding the history of Pontiac.

Beautiful cars and nice experience going back in time. The owners cat at the cash register gave it a small town atmosphere. We have been a couple times already and we'll keep coming back.

I am a lover of Trans Ams. This place is awesome. Even has a resource library.

Visited on 6.15.2025. Spectacular museum dedicated to Pontiac Automobiles. A must see when you visit Pontiac, Illinois. My first new car was a 2004 Pontiac Grand Am so this museum was a bucket list check off for me. It is a small museum, but definitely worth it.

Very nice how cars were staged and talked about. Museum was spotless. Cool hub cap wall and hood ornament display. Staff were very friendly . They have a cash donation box at entry.

This was a great stop in Pontiac! The museum is on smaller side but it packs a punch with super cool items and vehicles. Entry is free and there is a donation box if you want to help support the museum. I definitely recommend checking it out!

Found out about several cars that were from decades ago. Lots to see and do if you would like to learn more about Pontiac.

Visited during my road trip in late June, early July last year, a well-presented museum tracing the Pontiac automobile brand, from the antique wooden cart to the various coupes. There are books (technical?), oil cans and other vintage maintenance products.

It's a great museum. Lots to see. The lady (host) was very helpful and friendly. Her cats were fascinated with my service dog.

Whatta collections I fell in love with the red 1954 model car at the entrance. Place is small but quite a Pontiac collections. I liked the story of origin of the brand Pontiac. It takes about a hour tour at max if you like cars and want to visit, you should bookmark this place.

The museum is small compared to many others in Illinois. However this museum is 100% dedicated to Pontiac. GM foolishly shut down Pontiac in the great recession. Now who cares about GM any more. Certainly not me. There are a lot of models, magazines and other memorabilia all on Pontiac. There is an onsite library of manuals, books and models that appears to require an appointment. We had a great time at the museum and walking around the downtown shopping area of Pontiac, Illinois.

A nice little museum for Pontiac Motors that just happens to be in a town called Pontiac. It's not an overly large museum. But it has a nice collection of cars and other memorabilia from Pontiac's past.

I have been there in August 2022 and it was a good museum and it talks about the history of the Pontiac and it shows the different kinds of Pontiacs and there was at the time.

Always a great place to visit. They are always changing the exhibits.

How fun was it to go to a Pontiac musuem (did you know Pontiac made buggy? Me Neither!) in Pontiac, Illinois. It had great looking cars and was easy to walk and enjoy. Plan on 30 minutes to an hour here.

Free or give a donation. Small but worth your stop. You’ll see some unique things here and this was the best place to find a Rte 66 Christmas ornament.

What an awesome museum! Loved the pontiac cars and history. Its a must visit in pontiac. Walkable distance from the historical association museum and plenty of parking nearby. Definitely recommend!

This is a must see destination for any car enthusiast. Great collection of anything and everything related to PONTIAC automobiles. Not only are the cars great but the library is unbelievable.

Fantastic piece of history. This museum has everything an auto enthusiast is looking for from manufacturing exhibits to some fine samples of automobiles. Great gift shop. No admission fee. Downtown Pontiac IL is located on old Route 66. There are several museums and restaurants that are very tourist friendly.

What a wonderful little museum. Great displays and interesting information!! My husband and daughter are car geeks, and this was a birthday surprise that did not disappoint! Definitely worth the stop!

Free admission but they do accept donations. A wonderful collection of cars and merchandise! My family and i thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

Great history about the Route 66. In depth detail on places and people that made the trip and help make it what it made it the mother road.
