While profoundly wishing that you never need towing services, be thankful these guys are ready. After a bad interstate accident, they were responsible for towing my car. Importantly, they protected all of my contents, and even delivered the same to me timely, and with everything present. It is good to know in this day and age that kindness and Integrity like this exist.
After calling several tow companies that quoted me outrageous prices and long wait times, I found Bernie’s. His price was $100 less than the others and his timing was perfect. We had a 30-40 min drive. I would normally feel uncomfortable sitting alone with a stranger like that for so long. He was so personable and easygoing. We were easily able to talk about grandkids, Mustangs, and cars from our younger days the entire drive. I can’t thank Bernie’s enough!
I had a tire blow out on I-55, it was so hot out, semi trucks were flying by me… there was no way I could’ve changed the tire.
I called and they responded right away! I was so impressed with how kind and helpful he was. He worked very quickly and efficiently, I could tell he has a lot of experience. But, most importantly, I felt very safe and could tell he cared. The price was more than reasonable.
I’m really grateful there are still people out there that take pride in their work and care about others.
Came from Bloomington to go to a play in Pontiac. About three minutes away from our destination we had to pull over. Flat tire. Bernies Towing came to the rescue and changed the tire in pouring down rain. So friendly and professional. Thank You!!!
Our kids were stranded in Pontiac tonight after a car accident.. They waited for over 3.5 hours for State Farm to find them a truck and 1.5 hours for Triple A.. which not even one call from either place.. We showed up from 2.5 hours away- I called Bernie’s he was there in less than 30 mins, great price, super helpful and friendly! Always remember in St Louis and need help, I’ve got you! I cannot say enough good things about this business and the owner. Driving on hwy 47 on the way home from a trip with the family we hit a deer at high speed. The car was badly damaged and not operable. It was getting dark and we were in the middle of nowhere. Bernie got out to us right away, made sure we were okay, and even drove us home which was nearly two hours away. If you need a tow, use them!!

Had my Harley run out of gas on 55. The guy came out from his home to help me. We chatted the whole time and he was just a great person. Found out he is a firefighter so God bless him for that. He suggested I try to start it up to make sure it was good, and realized I burned out the battery for having the blinkers on. Without a second thought he started getting tools to jump it. Took everything apart and knew exactly what to do, even though my battery is in a tricky spot. Got it running within 10 minutes of him being there. Stick with these guys, they deserve any business you can give them.
Helped me out in a real jam when no one else was able to, filled up my spare when I had no idea I needed to, and didn’t charge a cent! Overall absolutely fantastic service and would highly recommend for anyone who needs towing!
Bernie's has been in business for 30+ years. The techs that worked there were highly skilled and could solve any issue with your car 🚗 or truck 🚚. Bernie's also had a showroom where he displayed and sold classic muscle cars and motorcycles.
Unfortunately the business had a devastating fire 🔥 on March 3, 2021.
Plans for the future are unknown as the business reviews their options.
Bernie literally stole $800 from me when he refused (and tried to charge me $800 more dollars) to fix my vehicle after giving my vehicle back to me and saying the problem was fixed. My car was not even test driven after it was worked on the first time. Stay away. This place sucks. Bernie is a thief.

I was recommended by the dealer to take my car to Bernie's for exhaust work. The dealer would have had to replace the entire exhaust system at a cost of approximately $800. I took it to Bernie's and they were able to get it right in and repaired while I waited. They replaced my muffler and a weight, at a cost of only $160. They were prompt, courteous, did a good job and saved me time and money. I will recommend them to friends and family.
Great service; went above and beyond to help us get a vehicle to a body shop when our plans flopped. He made an extra trip to bring a tow truck that fit into the space on our property. Very courteous & quick service!

Fantastic service!! Kind people! My daughter's car broke down on her way home from college for Thanksgiving. She was about one hour and 45 minutes from home near Pontiac Illinois. My husband left to go find her but in the time it took him to get there Bernie's repair center had sent a tow truck for her and fixed the alternator. They were already handing her the keys! Fantastic service and great price!! I can't thank them enough!!

Red headed guy with the red beard, (I'm so sorry I can't remember his name) is Tha Man when it comes to exhausts! He is very patient and he will fix any vibration or any noise u think ur hearing from your old car or trucks exhaust! He's the best exhaust guy in Pontiac!! You want it done right, you better go to him!!
My car was brought in for a checkup before taking a trip to PA. Superficial items were fixed such as fluid levels and a worn tire. I was also informed my tie rod ends needed replacing. Bernie's didn't stress to me how important it was to have the tie rods fixed and I traveled to PA. By the grace of God I made it in one piece. When I got to PA I brought my car in for tie rod service. The mechanic couldn't believe I was sent on my way with such a dangerous condition. He also pointed out there was a 12 X 20 hole on the driver's side floor (carpeting sticking out), completely worn out engine mounts, and worn out tensioner. The engine rocked in the engine compartment and the serpentine belt was shaking violently. My dad notified Bernie's of what had taken place. No response was given until he called again 4 days later. To correct the situation, he was told by the receptionist that a meeting was held informing the mechanics to be more vigilant so that such doesn't happen again to another customer.
Brought my 83 trans am to Bernie's to have exhaust work done to fit a new set of headers I put on. They put in a new cutsom Y-pipe and had it ready to go within a few days, and at minimal cost!
