I needed a new battery and went to this location. I purchased the battery and Jordan put the battery in for me immediately. He was fantastic. I really appreciated him doing that for me. I highly recommend them for their great customer service.

I have had great experiences with other O’Reilly’s but this was my first and only experence with the store on Lake St/45/Townline Rd., Mundelein, Il. I purchased a vent mounted mobile phone holder. Minutes later, in the parking lot, I clipped the vent mount onto the vent in my car. I put what seemed to be a strong magnet between my phone and its silicone case but the magnet was not strong enough to hold the phone on the mount while the phone was in its case. The phone tilted and slipped. I realized that I would have to remove the case and stick the magnet directly onto the phone. This did not work for me as I’m not willing to remove the case every time I’m in the car and I didn’t want to apply the adhesive to the case so I put everything back into the box and brought it back into the store. I told an older man behind the counter that I wanted to return an item I just purchased. He told me to see the man behind the register. I told the man behind the register that I wanted to return the phone Mount I just purchased 5 minutes ago. He asked why while he fumbled to open the box. I told him that I couldn’t use it, the phone would tilt and slide down and fall off the Mount. I told him the magnet wasn’t strong enough to work through my phone’s case. I said, “It doesn’t work for me.” He had the box open now and he snarled accusingly, “Where’s the magnet?” I said that it’s in the box. He said it wasn’t. I knew he hadn’t lifted the Mount to check under it so I reached over and lifted the Mount and said, “They put it under the Mount, and you have a lot of nerve implying I took it and kept it.” Customers were nearby waiting to check out. He ignored that and said, “It does work, you did it wrong.” He said you have to take off the paper over the adhesive and put the magnet on your phone.” I told him I am aware of how it works, but it does not work for me. I want to keep my phone in its case and the magnet is not strong enough to work through the case. He continued to argue that it worked. Finally I asked him if he was refusing to give me a refund. He said, “You said it didn’t work and it does.” I clarified, “It did not work FOR ME. I can’t believe you are arguing with a customer. You really shouldn’t treat your customers like this. I don’t have time for this, please give me a refund. Or are you refusing to give me a refund?” This whole time the older man stood in the back watching this encounter. The friendly cashier also in the back appeared but hesitated to come to the counter. Customers had walked in and witnessed this man’s behavior. Finally after several minutes, he began processing my refund. I asked him his name. He said, “I’m Cody, the manager.” I’m pretty sure Cody the manager would not speak to a man the way he spoke to me. He certainly wouldn’t “mansplain” how to use the phone holder. He handed me my refund receipt and snarled, “Enjoy it.”

Needed some maintenance items for my Corvette. After receiving a substandard product from an online retailer, I went in to O'Reilly for some assistance. Carlos took the time and went above and beyond to make sure I got the right, quality products I needed.

I visited on Saturday morning, and the older man with long hair was rude, slamming things and refusing to help, Thankfully, another employee was doing his best, even though it was clear he was frustrated by the situation. I came back later that evening, and the experience was completely different, the three employees working then were friendly, helpful, and had great attitudes. I was going to leave a negative review because of the older man's behavior, but the excellent service from the other staff changed my mind. If he doesn't want to work, he should let those who care about customer service do the job.

I am truly astonished on the customer service from Carlos and Manny, both are were very patient with me when I had trouble trying to find parts, very knowledgeable too. Great people to meet, and I’m glad they helped me. I’m very pleased with my purchases.

I stopped in the other day, and a guy named Carlos helped me with everything I needed. He’s very knowledgeable, his customer service was the best I’ve almost ever encountered, and I hate leaving reviews but I felt I must for how good Carlos is. I’ll definitely be only shopping at this auto parts store because of him.

Used to avoid coming here due to lackluster service. New personel offer great service though! They ask questions to better understand issues and recommend products they believe can help. Super knowledgable about their products and will find answers quickly to things they don’t. Definitely will be coming by more often!

O'Reilly Mundelein is the local store where my business has it's commercial account. The staff is very helpful and knowledgeable. We often need parts on very short notice. The manager, Cody, makes sure we always get what we need in a timely manner. Cody is what makes this location our go-to place for fleet vehicle maintenance. He offers good insight and helps keep our trucks running down the road.

Don't take your car here for windshield wiper help!! Bought a rear windshield wiper at this store and asked them to install it for me. The person proceeds to break the wiper blade arm which now needs to be replaced. Of course O'Reilly's doesn't carry the part because my vehicle is to new (2022) so I now have to take it to the dealership, pay for the repair out of my pocket, and wait to be reimbursed. Which I'm being told by the store manager himself (Cody) is a nightmare of a process and who knows when I will see my money back. Literally not exaggerating any of this. Stay clear of this place, they could care less how much of an inconvenience they can make your life.

I was at the store at opening time yesterday and I came back today Friday. I was lucky that the guy who helped me this morning offered to order an item that I had a hard time finding elsewhere. I purchased it here yesterday but needed another one. My appreciation to someone who goes the extra mile to help us consumers. Great customer Service!

Forced Selling. O’Reilly costumer for almost two decades now. That does not matter, still have to pay for an overused, rusted, bent tool that I rented a month ago. Just like Autozone and Advance auto, you only have 48 hours to return a rented tool. However, I rented and return tools on these two companies for two to four months but they still accepted my return. The reason why they did not accept it and pay overprice is because some costumers return it in a bad shape. Therefore it’s on me. I have to take all those losses not the company even if I have not used the tool. Sometimes life throws a wrench on you and make you forgot about these things. But O’Reilly don’t care about that, you still have to pay for this overused tool at a brand new price.

Recently needed some hoses, oil filters, plugs, treatments, paint, etc... Went in there late on a Friday, early Saturday etc all hours. Got everything, quick including a fuel line that I thought might be tough. They've always helped me out and while it costs a little more I'll be back. Thanks.

Avoid this O'Reilly with all cost, they have employees that are not fully trained nor knowledgeable and will give you the wrong parts for your car. These employees also are liars. Advance Auto part is my recommendation. They actually have people that know what they're doing.

The man that helped me was very rude and jumped over me and helped someone else! All I needed was help with fuses he told me he was busy and he didn't have time hello I am in a handicap parking I barely can walk and you can't help me with fuses I won't come back and you lost a great costumer from Texas in Texas O'Reilly was my #1 but here hmm I guess it's autozone

O'Reilly's the place where AutoZone can't find it. The staff is knowledgeable and today the gentleman actually came out and help me with the light and it turned out I needed a different part and they had in stock I am saved time in money. They follow all the covid-19 rules. I go there often

Normally, I like O'Reilly's. It's not the first time that they seemed understaffed to me, but it's the first time that I waited in a line with only three people for nearly 15 minutes. There were two employees there but apparently the issue that the guy at the register had required both of them.
