I had a tree fall out of nowhere onto my car, and after hearing great things about Sharp’s Auto Body, I decided to give them a call. I’m so glad I did. Louie and his team fit me in immediately and took charge of the entire process. They communicated directly with my insurance company, provided a free loaner car so I was never inconvenienced, and advocated for my repair to be restored to true factory standards. If it hadn’t been for Louie and his team, I would have unknowingly accepted about one-quarter of the compensation I was actually entitled to—and the value of my car would have taken a major hit. When I picked up my car, it looked absolutely brand new—you would never know anything had happened. Their skill, integrity, and customer care are unmatched. Thank you to Louie and the entire team at Sharp’s! I strongly recommend them.

Do not go here. This vehicle was bought in September of 2024. I had some warranty paint work done on my truck and it came back with sanding marks still visible, scratches and gouges in plastic that had to be removed to drop the head liner. The back window also had to be removed and plastic trim is missing for the rear window. Seat trim was not clipped back into place. That’s a very simple job, I don’t see how this was over looked. The weather strip on the driver side has a broken clip. Castle Chevy of McHenry said this is where they take all their cars. I suggest they find a new shop. Cheap work is not good, good work is not cheap!This was a brand new vehicle. Now, not knowing what else was installed incorrectly, I have doubts about the entire vehicle. Sharp said something must have happened after it was at their shop. The pictures were taken at their shop on a Sunday. The thing that happened was the truck was brought to Sharp! STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!

We’ve used Sharp Auto Body several times, and the service has always been excellent. Most recently, we needed a hood for our work truck. Louie not only found us a used OEM hood that didn’t require painting, but my husband was able to stop by and have it installed in less than an hour. Thank you, Louie, for making the process so quick and easy!

Over the years, I have taken 3 vehicles to Sharp Auto Body for minor rear-end damage twice, and when someone backed into my passenger door. Great repairs were done promptly. This month, it was car vs. deer; the Sharp team had the estimate in two days and ready for the insurance representative. Louie's advice on what route to take was priceless. He explained the pros and cons of repairing or a total loss. The decision was a no-brainer after his insights and recommendations. The updates from Ed were much appreciated. It was a pleasure going through the process with this team. The free loaner was much appreciated. If I ever need more body work done, I will return.

Sharp Auto Body in Island Lake is the best place to bring your car in for body repairs. They are extremely kind and very efficient in getting your work done in a prompt and professional manner. I also have been in many automotive places from oil changes to dealerships and their cleanliness and order is remarkable for a small business. I recommend this business very highly. Also their repair prices are extremely fair.

I couldn’t be more impressed with the service I received at Sharp Auto Body from Ed, Louie and the entire staff. The team is incredibly knowledgeable and took the time to explain everything clearly, so I felt confident every step of the way. Additionally, Ed assisted with handling a 3rd party appraiser to eliminate stress and communicate efficiently with the insurance company. My car came out looking better than new—the quality of the workmanship is truly top-tier. I have a tricky paint (Mercedes Jade Green Metallic) They matched the paint perfectly, fixed all the damage with precision, detailed the car before returning it and even gave me a small touch up paint if ever needed. I really appreciated the frequent updates and the honest communication throughout the process. On top of all that, the staff was super friendly and went above and beyond to make sure I was happy with the results. It’s rare to find this level of customer service and craftsmanship in one place. Louie and his team are absolutely in the top 1% of the auto body industry, no doubt about it. Sharp Auto Body fixed a ding in my door. It looks as good as new! The estimate and final price were extremely reasonable. I've been here twice, and I've received exceptional service both times. My husband's car needed some minor body work and Sharp Auto Body came highly recommended.
