very disappointed With them, I took my vehicle in for a check engine light so they sent me the estimate on what the cost would be which was $595 light came back on 6 miles after I left them I was told her in the car for 70 miles and bring them back to see if I could pass emissions test on they kept it for two days later and said it was another problem that they couldn't figure out and still had the audacity to charge me another 400 bucks Because they didn't tell me What was wrong with it the first time I took it in after keeping it for two more days. So I spent about $1000 and the light is still on and can't pass emissions test save your money and fish for all the mechanics these people are Money hungry and I have all the paperwork too to prove it,its robbery. Because I'm sure they will come on here and say that they have no records of me.
A low-level employee named Daniel DeLoncker damaged my car while towing it and stole my time saying he would reimburse me for my expenses, but he didn't, which is really unfair! And this person talks down to people! Don't trust him!
My 2024 Chevy Blazer EV was not starting up, it was dead right in our one door garage.
Jim’s towing and automotive guy was very knowledgeable and experienced in both gas and electric vehicles. He got the car out of my garage in 5 minutes and towed away. He gave the correct jump start to the 12V battery and we were able to get the gear shift to reverse. This made the work easier to get to car out of one door garage without dolly.
Let me tell you why? I had a very bad experience with AAA service. Not one time but two times with different person trying to fix the same issue.
Contacted the GM roadside assistance they did helped me in sending the towing help. It was AAA guys. The person who came didn’t know about the EV and was try to figure out how to get the car out of the garage as we were not able to put it in neutral as the car was not working. He asked me to contact the GM again and asked to send another towing assistance that had dolly which can pull out my car. Another towing person came in they did all they can to start the car. Both did gave “jump start” to get the car on but no luck. As they were not giving correct jump connection.
I had to wasted a day and half for this to be fixed.

This is the place to go if you need a tow. I called, and they were at my place in no time. And the price is very reasonable! My car wasn't starting, and they checked my battery and gave me info/advice about what was wrong. They made the process so quick and easy -- highly recommend!
This towing company has very rude service the old woman with the fancy nails and the big 80s hair that has a daughter who is a realtor is really snotty and rude she was some Assitant. She speaks to you like you are a peasant. And her coworker was recording me the last time I walked in, he put the phone in his pocket and pretended like he wasn’t which is very intrusive and unprofessional. This can be reported to the Better Business Bureau or a lawyer. Not only that, but they are running a scam at my complex to with cars they only tow my car and not the others. The charge is a little over $200 do not live in lower income complex I have also lived in luxury apartments and condos and this doesn’t happen there. your car will be towed if a sticker mishap occurs. They see lower income people living at this complex so they take advantage because they think people aren’t educated, but some people have businesses around here and work for really important companies that they have no idea not everyone here is a dumb sheep I see how this towing company operates it’s very unprofessional they also messed up my suspension and I had to take time off of work and missed out on money because of them. How disgusting is this.
I worked with Daniel at Jim’s towing. He was the best! He was communicative and presented different options for repair. These guys are professionals, and I would trust them with any auto repair needs anytime!!
WARNING! Avoid doing business with Jim's Towing and Automotive at all costs. A very rude petulant child oversees operations and is the biggest scammer I've ever encountered in my 65 years. There are many other reputable options who appreciate your business and offer service with respect. The terrible experience I had at Jim's Automotive will never be forgotten.
I live in Arizona and my daughter attends Judson University. Her 2000 Honda Civic was having electrical issues that sounded like a new alternator was going to be the fix. Always working on my own vehicles, I was dreading having it taken to a shop. I randomly called Jim's Towing and Automotive. They were extremely friendly and professional. They could easily have charged me for replacing an alternator, but found a loose wire and sent her on her way. They have since replaced a catalytic convertor and oxygen sensor on the car, and I have full confidence in their honesty and pricing. I highly recommend their service! Needed a jump start in Elgin. My van was dead in the driveway. Showed up in 15 min, took less than minute to jump, and the price was very affordable!!! Great business! Great driver/customer service. Highly recommend!
My friend suggested that I bring my car to Jim’s towing and automotive because for many years he has gotten fantastic service. I called them and they got me in the same day. They found the problem very quickly and charged me a very fair price. Everybody at the shop that I spoke to was very professional and I can tell that they are trust worthy because of how things turned out. When I picked up my car I left their shop a happy customer!
Good towing service and repair all for a fair price. I had my car towed on a Sunday and they stored it for repairs when the shop opened on Monday. Got my car fixed in very timely manner and the total cost for towing and repair was a very fair price.
I have been using these guys for years. Tom, the main guy there has known us for a while now. Always has been quick. Very fare on pricing. They keep you well informed and give you a heads up if there are going to be extra issues.
They tend to get a little testy with me sometimes because I bring my own parts sometimes. I have messed up once or twice with ordering the wrong size or something. But they still make it happen. Have really helped me out of a major jam, and I try to refer anybody I can to this place.
I was driving home from the airport on Friday July 28th in a pretty bad storm and my truck broke down on US 20 west at state st. I called and James answered. I explained the situation, about midnight, raining, and sitting in the middle of the road. He showed up in less than 15 minutes got me off the road and suggested places to take the truck since I was not at all familiar with the area. He got me to a well lit parking lot, let me stay in the tow truck so I could charge my phone (it was literally at 5 percent)and stayed with me while I tried to start the truck. James is VERY kind and compassionate. If you are ever unlucky enough to need a tow truck hopefully you will be lucky enough that James is driving that truck. Thank you again James!! You made a bad situation tolerable.
Check engine & ABS light were on in my 2007 outlander. Dropped it off this morning & picked it up in the afternoon! Staff is nice & price was good for the repair. Thank you! will be taking my car here for all future maintenance/repairs
Matt is the best tow truck driver! I actually request him when I need a tow. Jims towing & automotive are honest mechanics. I recently had to have a transmission so I asked Bob who he recommended. Bob is the owner & a very honest person. Once Sears mechanic told me I needed an alternator. I took my car to Bob. He tested my alternator. He said, "you don't need an alternator". Shame on you Sears! Thanks, Bob ; ) oops! That's an old review I forgot to post. Danny is current owner, Bob's Son. Both are honest. I won't take my Car anywhere else. Honest & trustworthy ; )
These guys are amazing! My car broke down on a busy highway, and I didn't know the area or what to do. I found Jim's online and called for a tow. They showed up quick, towed my car to their garage and then fixed it for me. They are fast, affordable and had great customer service. I HIGHLY recommend them, and if you live it the area, save their number in your phone in case you ever break down on the side of the road.
My husband & I bring our cars to Jim's Automotive for everything! They are honest, very fair on pricing and get the repairs done in a timely manner. The owner, Bob goes out of his way to explain what is wrong with your vehicle and will give you the estimated cost before the work is done. They are the best and work very hard!! I had my VVT timing solenoid fixed earlier today and they did a great job!!
I made the mistake of taking my 10 year old car to the dealer when the check engine light appeared. The dealer wanted to fix my car for an outrageous amount of money. A friend suggested Jim’s and I’ll never take my car anywhere else! They repaired my car for a fraction of what the dealer was going to charge me and I had my car back RUNNING PERFECTLY the following day. The piece of mind Jim’s Automotive has given me is priceless!
Jim's towing and auto is the best service center that I've ever had the pleasure of dealing with. Was desperate to find someone who knew what they were doing and Daniel is a no nonsense owner and machanic, refreshingly honest. Will go nowhere else in the future. Love them. Trustworthy, which is unheard of now a days.
Well Jim's towing arrive very fast. I was happy with that because I was on my way to work and made it on time. But I was shock they charged me $ 75 bucks for a 2 min. Jump. I don't know is that the norm? But I was happy with the response time
The guys at Jim's Towing are the best. I brought my car in recently with an estimate from the mechanic at the dealer for nearly $4K worth of work. Bob diagnosed the problem quickly as a simple spark plug repair. He went above and beyond the ensure his fix was the cure. It was, and I was out the door for just over $100. Highly recommend this shop!
I normally give 4 star for good service but these people are so great that it has to be more than 5 star, start from the time you get inside the place and by the time you leave, everyone will just be happy there. i had some work and they even did not charge me because it needed a second check so they let me go - free service in this world with smile. this is great service.

I spoke with Daniel after my car had broke down and he knew exactly what the problem was from what I had described happened. The tow truck was there to pick us up within 5 minutes. Great service and very friendly staff, would highly recommend Jim's towing if ever broken down..and it was fixed there too, on Saturday.
I'm a shade tree mechanic and usually work on my own vehicles but if there is something I don't have time for or don't want to tackle I take it to Jim's. They are incredibly nice people to do business with, straight forward and extremely fair with their pricing. It's hard to find a good honest auto shop and anyone that has dealt with Bob over at Jim's knows he's worth his weight in gold. I'd give ten stars if I could, thanks for all your help Bob, past present and future!
First and foremost, they do great work. Otherwise, who cares?
Second, it is almost always done by the day's end - no waiting around for days while the mechanic "gets to it."
Third, the price is always reasonable for the work done - I've had friends and acquaintances ignore my advice and go elsewhere and pay double what I've paid for the same work.
Fourth, they're honest. They don't do work that doesn't need doing, and if they tell you it needs fixing, it does.
I've been using Jim's Towing for years, and I tell everybody I get the chance to tell: "Take your vehicle to Jim's" I know that it sounds a little hokey, but you just don't find service like that very often, or at all.
I've been using Jim's for all my automotive repairs for 30 years. NEVER been disappointed. The owner Bob has always been honest , and worked at getting me the best value for any repair. Every friend that I have referred to him, is now a faithful customer! Aces in every way!
Keep your hair dresser close and your mechanic closer! I had the best experience ever! This shop is white glove clean, the customer service beat what you get at the big dealerships and they are HONEST!!!! Bob saved me a boat load of money and gave it to me strait. Hopkins Ford tried to pad their pockets thinking I was a weak female who falls for the line "Ma'am, you need to replace the whole front end, and by the way, we can do it today and give you a ride to work. It will only cost you $680". Yeah right! How can a truck that cost $32,000 and is just 5 years old require that much work????? It doesn't! Bob, THANK YOU! You have a new customer, WHEN I need work and I'm going to send everyone I know to your shop. It's really nice to know there are still a few honest men out there who aren't trying to make a million bucks on the backs of hard working people. BLESS YOU!
