I Replaced the mass air flow sensor in my car and my check engine light would not go out because it hadn't recycled. Went to AutoZone to ask them to clear the code and the young man told me that was not in their company policy. However, when I showed him that on the website that it says that AutoZone will will clear the code. He instantly had an attitude and said that he would check with his manager. After she confirmed that what I said was true. He proceeded to clear the code. I would have preferred him saying that he didn't know and that he would check as opposed to lying and telling me that it was not in their company policy. When clearly on the internet it states that AutoZone will clear the code but it would be best to have the problem resolved first, which is what I actually did before asking them to clear the code.
Please talk to your employees. I'm a local shop owner and came in to do a commercial return at about 6p about a month ago and the lazy employee that was goofing around in the commercial dept flat out lied and said commercial is closed. I've never had any issues buying or returning anything for years and years at this location until recently. I spoke to the district manager Kelly and she confirmed that commercial is open until the store closes. I never have any issues with your competitor O'Reilly's it's ALWAYS AutoZone that gives my shop constant issues and it's always disrespectful or flat out lazy lying employees
Wanted to say I got came in a frantic because I got pulled over for my headlight being out I got a warning and came straight there and told them my info asked if we could go out to see if they can put in without me asking which is was lol they took it out and put the new one in I left feeling better knowing I was not going to get pulled over again for that.... loved the service junne
This place is great and will be back I got the great service from Kiana she offered to come outside and look at my car and asked if I needed the wipes I was coming to getif i needed to be installed and said yes we laughed and went outside I appreciate the soft spoken service I received 5 stars
I received the best service all around good job from Alicia she not only put the the battery into car she also put on my wipers I can say I appreciate the service and will be back for the great service and a good laugh
I had the best experience there trying to get my car remote repaired the manager on dutie that day was absolutely the best I will be coming back for more service
Worst Case Scenario Of A Store!!! The girl at the front was very unhelpful and had an attitude out of this world. I came to return a part I got from another store since I was given the wrong one, she proceeded to tell me that it isn’t their problem. What kind of customer service that is…I have no idea. She never looked at my receipt either. I then asked her for another part, she never looked it up, she just said no, meaning she just wanted me to leave. I was polite to her the entire time despite how hard it was to be, but that is truly unacceptable.
Carolyn took good care of my car. I’ve been having some trouble getting my taillights put in for the longest. She was very quick and efficient. Thank you for your generosity!
My brother came in to return an item he didn’t need. He was met with disrespect and told he had stolen the item and they refused to give it back EVEN THOUGH HAD A RECEIPT. Me and my Mother had to come to the store because they BANNED HIM after they had stolen something he bought. As we are in the store WE are disrespected and not even given EYE CONTACT. This place is prejudice and predatory.
This is the worst place to go to!!! Don’t ever come to this place they accuse people, they LIE, they have the worst customer experience!!! Don’t EVER go here!
Great vibe! Great service! Very knowledgeable crew! Everyone was able to help me with all my questions and not once did they get annoyed. (I know nothing about cars and ask a lot of questions). This is the place to be hands down!
I went to Autozone on 3101 Chicago rd. My salesman Nathan was very helpful and patient with me while I pick up brakes and she offered me the oil deal also a complete oil change. He also convince me to sign up for points. I love that she was very polite and helpful I will be returning
The manager (Alisia) and other staff at the AutoZone (on Chicago Road in South Chicago Heights) were very professional in assisting me not only with my purchase of a headlight, but also replacing the low beam headlight.
They were patient as I did not know anything about the type of headlight that I needed.
On a special note that made me proud was the fact that the staff on duty were all women, and yes, they know their job and did it with a smile.
Went in with a battery issue. I was told elsewhere they couldn’t give me a jump. I came in to this store and Carolyn greeted me nicely and said no issue with giving me a jump after test. Carolyn tested and found it was the battery. I ended up buying the battery and she installed it for me and retested after. Greatly appreciate the help!
I came to autozone to get a new battery and Carolyn the sales rep took the time to take the Battery out of a very hard spot but she got it done and I’m very great full of her service

If I could give no stars I would. Tried to do a return with all the proper paperwork needed and the lady on the register this morning was completely rude and stated there wasn't enough cash in the drawer... without even looking at the receipt to see what the price was. Asked if we could leave the old rotors at least with that store and she also said no because "that would mess up everything for her today". No issue taking my money but has an issue about giving it back clearly, and helping with anything at all. Happy holidays!
I visited store #2599 on 7/9/23 to have the CEL code on my vehicle ran. Both employees that I encountered were rude and abrupt, and the one who ran the test blatantly ignored me while I was speaking to him. I was astounded that this level of unprofessionalism is allowed at Autozone. The other employee stared me down and snorted loudly as he walked past me out to his car, which left me confused. I felt like I was a bother, and that they were annoyed and disgusted by my presence. After this troubling experience, I will likely shop with a competitor for my automotive care needs.
Angel was a blessing. He changed my windshield wiper at no cost, only because I asked. So refreshing in the world that we live in today, help me with no questions asked or a hard time. Thank you Angel, your name is very fitting!!!
I would give them 5 stars but they always seem to be under staffed. Friendly staff, Spanish speaking too.
I knocked them down to 1 star because the last time I was there they had 4 people stocking shelves and 1 girl working the register. When I made a comment to the young guy stocking shelves he told me that he was too busy to help check people out. 15 minutes to buy wiper blades...ridiculous.
Walk in today and everybody was so kind and helpful and knowledgeable, I walked in and was greeted by the whole store I felt like a celebrity when I walked in costumer service was amazing, and April was very nice sweet and on point she was on point and knows what she talking about taught me some stuff and gave me a lil knowledge on car parts she was amazing words cannot describe how amazing she was!
Went in for windshield wipers. The employee looked up the kind I needed for my vehicle and lead me to the best option. They also suggested a sale item which I ended up purchasing. Once I checked out they were nice enough to put the wipers on for me. Customer service definitely went above and beyond
I have a love/hate relationship with this store. They have good products and if you have a problem, their district manager will help you but on more than 1 occasion I have had such a problem. They always make it right with me though so I keep going back.
I just went in today, because my turn signal light went out on me. They have great customer service. I would like to thank Ben for changing my bulb too. I was able to get and out easily and quickly.
