Truck wouldn't crank on a Sunday morning. Found Martin through a search, called expecting voicemail and got a real person. Tech was out within the hour, traced it to a bad starter, had one with him. Paid, got a proper invoice, was back moving by early afternoon. Glad I made that call.
Martin Mobile replaced the air dryer and purge valve on my Kenworth. The old dryer wasn't cycling properly and I was getting moisture in the air tanks, which was causing slow brake response in cold weather. Their tech handled the whole thing on site at my yard, swapped out the dryer assembly and purge valve, then drained and checked all the tanks. Brakes feel responsive again and no more moisture buildup. Good turnaround time too, he was done in under two hours from when he pulled up.
my truck started overheating on 53 and i pulled over at a gas station. called martin mobile and the person on the phone was calm and got all the details quick, asked me exactly where i was and what the truck was doing. said theyd have someone out soon. the mechanic got there in under an hour which considering it was evening rush i thought was pretty good. he popped the hood and spent some time checking things, found the issue with the coolant system and explained what needed to happen before doing anything. i appreciated that he didnt just start wrenching without telling me what was going on. the repair itself took maybe another hour, he topped everything off and let the truck run for a while to make sure temps stayed normal. price was reasonable for a mobile call, especially at that time of day. the whole experience from calling to driving away was about two hours which honestly isnt bad for a breakdown situation like that. truck has been running fine since
My truck needed rear brake work and I was trying hard not to burn half the day waiting around at a shop. Martin Mobile did it where the truck was sitting, which was the main thing I needed. They changed the rear brake shoes and drums, got everything adjusted right, and the difference was obvious as soon as I pulled out. The grinding was gone and the pedal felt normal again instead of spongy. Being able to get that done on site made a big difference for me that day.

Martin Mobile has come out for us probably four or five times now and the thing that keeps me calling back is they don't try to oversell stuff. Last month one of my drivers reported a weird noise from the front end and I was ready to hear about some massive repair bill. The tech came out, looked at it, turned out to be a loose heat shield rattling against the frame. He tightened it down and charged me next to nothing. Could've easily told me it was something bigger. Another time they replaced an alternator on my oldest truck, a 2015 Freightliner that's got more miles on it than I want to admit. That one took a bit longer because the part had to come from a supplier but they coordinated all of it. I didn't have to chase anyone down. My driver said the tech even helped him adjust his mirrors after since he'd bumped one getting under the hood. Weird little detail but that's the kind of thing that tells you someone actually gives a damn.

This guy is a fraud. Charged 1500 for a brakepod and changed slack adjuster without consent. Repair is expensive in Chicago area but 1500 for a brake pod is outrageous. Also charged 16% tax where online Cooks county sales tax os 10.25. Please pass on this guy and check other places.
