I dropped my honda accord off in November of '25 got it back at the end of January of '26. He is the guy to go to for the small easy stuff like lights, brakes, rotors, etc. Anything more than that he can't handle it. But he can not tell anyone no. I gave him multiple chances to give the car back and just say he can't do the work, but he couldn't just say, "ok, thank you. Yes, we are really busy and I appreciate you taking this off my plate." And not only did he not fix the car but he misdiagnosed this issue, his handshake was to give a free obd reading and tell me how to fix it myself for free, it is still currently having the issue after that repair and I'm now taking to a honda dealer for the repair. Seems like he is a good and nice guy, but I didn't take my car to get fixed by a good nice person, I took it to a mechanic and the mechanic failed.

It was wonderful being able to talk to Doug directly and have him do such quick and excellent work, all for a very reasonable price. He was great to work with and we will use him again for any more automotive needs

Doug was great to work with, and was able to get my front and rear breaks and rotors done the day after I called and got my estimate back. WAY way better than any dealership. Plus the 15% off with Costco helps a ton. Great work!

Went there for the first time today to replace a drive belt on my Mazda, was really impressed with their service, top notch! Saved me money compared to the dealership. They participate in the Costco Auto Parts & Service program, so Costco members can save 15%.

I have never been more disgusted with a small business in my entire life. I would say if you’re a woman trying to accomplish car repairs on your own, don’t even bother here. However, after reading reviews it seems that it does not matter who you are, and that Doug decides how much of a priority he is willing to make your vehicle. I had transmission issues, I was up front with that in the beginning.. as I have a CVT transmission. Doug could not get me scheduled till January 15th. I went ahead and dropped my vehicle off much earlier as I was unable to use it. January 15th came and went, I heard nothing. I gave them about 4 days before I decided to call for an update. I spoke with a lady who informed me that Doug would call me back that afternoon. 3 more days went by with no phone call, so I call again. Doug tells me yeah, your car is throwing transmission codes, I think we should start with a transmission fluid change, and that he should have it done that afternoon or the very next day. What Doug failed to realize is that I lived 2 blocks away.. and it had been snowing on and off during this time. I could see that no one had even walked out to my car so I found it interesting that he had read my codes without stepping foot in my car. After a week of nothing, I knew I didn’t trust him or his services. I decided I was done waiting after my car had just been sitting and was not even looked at tho he had me schedule an appointment for January 15th. When I go to have it towed, my driver side tire was flat ( I have low profile tires, so sitting in the cold does them no favors) and my battery was dead because again my car had sat in the cold and never been looked at. I would never recommend this place to someone if you’re looking for honesty or to get your services done in a timely manor. After I was able to get my car to the new shop. They had called me to let me know it was in fact my entire transmission that needed replaced, so would Doug have just changed my transmission fluid and sent me on my merry way had I decided to let my car sit for another month? With the services I received I wouldn’t put it past them. Absolutely awful communication and service.

i had been having some car troubles a few weeks ago and one of the ladies at Blain's recommended raisor's. i was able to make an appointment with them relatively quick and they checked my car out. they didn't end up finding anything wrong with it and he didn't charge me for the check. lots of mechanics talk to me like im stupid because im not a man but they treated me with respect and were honest/didn't try to fix something that wasn't broken. will be coming back when my car decides to act up again.

A+ ! Told Doug I knew I needed a crank shaft shift sensor replaced on my auto and brought the part so he could do it. No questions asked, paid for the labor and the car is running smooth. Will do business with you and your family again. Thank you for being top notch my friend and not trying to oversell me. It's hard to find honest people in this world, especially in auto repair. Doug is that rare exception. A+!

Very professional and honest business. They’ve always helped me and my family when needing service done quickly on our vehicles. The Gal at the front is very helpful When setting up appointments and has always answered any general question I’ve had. Doug has worked on my vehicles since I moved to Morton 6 years ago. He’s very knowledgeable and has always been able to diagnose the issues at hand. He does a great job of being completely transparent with the customer. I’m no mechanic, but he has always communicated with me as to what the issue is. He’s able to describe the issue in a way that I can understand it and what courses of actions can be taken. He gives me his thoughts, ideas, and advice then let’s me decide what I want to do which is refreshing. He’s not pushy at all and to top it off the service is always very affordable. If you’re looking for a place to get your vehicle fixed/serviced I highly recommend taking it to Raisors Motor Company.

Raisor Motors is a very good place to take your vehicle for service. I've gone to them for several years for mechanical repairs on quite a few of my vehicles. I've probably been a customer for nearly twenty years, and have never felt that I have been taken advantage or mistreated by them in any way. I would say that they are not only very competent mechanics, even better to me is that they have earned my trust. I have taken my car to raisors many times, and have always been treated fairly! When I call to get an appointment Doug always gets me in and out in the same day! I have an older car, so I have visited many times, and will continue for all my cars needs in the future!

Doug is always honest and fair when it comes to assessing not only what needs to be done but whether or not it is worth it depending on the life of the car. He’s in it for customer service, not just to charge for services that might not help the customer. We appreciate their service greatly!

Even though we've moved to Texas, if my truck needs non-urgent service and I know we're going to be back in Central Illinois, I'll wait and take it to Raisor. While other shops may be have equal skills, few equal Doug's honesty and integrity.

My husband has taken his vehicles to Raisor Motor for years, but we will not be using them again. We took my car into have the alternator replaced. 11 days and hundreds of dollars later we were told it was ready to go. Went to pick it up and Doug hands me the hood prop tells me to get another one because this one was crap and was in the way so they took it off. Then he has a woman check me out. Paid and started to leave when I notice the gages were not working. When I went back inside Doug said you must have done something before you brought it to us! I said no I drove it to you and it was fine. He had a younger mechanic look under the hood. And in the fuse box. The mechanic said who ever looked at your car before broke something. No one, but them had the car. Then he shows me that a fuse is missing and the fuses all have arc marks on them and there is a short in the fuse box. Then they walk away. I drive home and park in the drive, next afternoon I drive to Peoria and the car stalls and won't start. I call and explain the situation to Doug and his reply is "I don't know what to tell you! Have someone over there take a look at it or have it towed to Morton." And that is a direct quote. It was high 80's and I have many serious health conditions. I sat in the car until someone could come pick me up. I am having the car towed to Chrysler and I will find out what they did to my car, then I intend on contacting a lawyer. This behavior is unacceptable. They have no problem taking your money, but do not stand by their work and will not fix their mistakes. Doug is extremely rude! And in my opinion incompetent at his job! I look forward to my day in court Doug.

My family took our vehicles to Raisor for years, but in recent years the management changed. We no longer take our vehicles there due to a multiple unresolved issues replacing the timing belt in our vehicle in 2013. The mechanic did not tighten the belt, tighten the valve cover or properly install the new gaskets! Raisor acknowledged their mistake (they said the mechanic was no longer employed there) but would not complete the repair or reimburse me for a repair of more than $400 at the Honda dealer!

Raisors can not be beat when it comes to great service, prices and honest people. Once again I'm happy to say I got out paying less than expected and with full confidence in the repairs. They have serviced our cars for years and we would never go anywhere else.

I can't say enough good things about Raisor Motor Company! I felt the cost of my repairs were very reasonable. I didn't feel like anyone was talking down to me (I'm a female and it does happen). I was treated so well! They even picked me up at home so I could pick up my car. The employees couldn't have been nicer and everything that was done to my car was explained to me. I highly recommend Raisor Motor Company for any work you may need done!
