I had a great experience. Only came in for fuel injector and storage. I also bought some new valve caps. For some reason, someone keeps taking them. I really like this barrel style and I also bought the standard as back up.

I’ve been going to this AutoZone location for quite some time because the staff has usually been very helpful. I typically stop in when one of my headlights goes out. Every visit has followed the same routine: I walk in, explain that I need help with a headlight, and I’m asked if the car is there. Today, however, was completely different. I walked in and said, “Hi, I need some help with my headlights.” Instead of the usual response, the employee asked, “What kind of car do you have?” I replied, somewhat confused, “A Mitsubishi Outlander.” He pulled it up on the computer and immediately began commenting on how difficult the headlights are to change. I asked him directly if AutoZone helps with changing headlights. He told me that some employees know how to do it and others don’t, and that “if they can help, they will.” He then walked me over to a display of bulbs and told me to choose one. I explained honestly that I didn’t know what I was doing and asked for a recommendation. His response was, “Well ma’am, it’s your car, so you have to pick what you want.” At that point, I was frustrated and told him I would go elsewhere where I could actually get assistance. As I was leaving, the manager saw that I was upset and walking out, but instead of stopping me or asking me to wait while he finished with another customer, he allowed me to leave. I then went to the AutoZone at Touhy and Rockwell, and the experience couldn’t have been more different. Cashier #82 helped me immediately. I explained I needed help with my headlights. He asked if the vehicle was there, walked outside with me to take a look, then brought me back inside. He showed me two bulb options, explained the difference and pricing, and I chose the more expensive option. He came back outside, installed the bulb within minutes, asked me to turn on the headlights to confirm everything worked, and wished me a good day. I’m not sure what the first employees issue was, regardless it’s disappointing that I had to go out of my way to receive assistance that should have been straightforward.

My car battery died, and they refused to honor the warranty because it had expired literally the day before (which was the day the battery actually died). One of the employees said he couldn't help me because he had to go on break, so I should go to a different AutoZone. Incredibly rude under any circumstances, but especially ridiculous considering that dead cars are notably bad at taking people to other places. While I was in there, another woman was also having an issue and the employees were not helping her. I heard her getting upset at them, and they said to each other afterward that they "wouldn't hold her hand." If they said that about another customer in front of the public, I can only imagine what they say behind closed doors. As somebody with experience in the service industry, it's totally unacceptable and not how I would treat patrons of a business. Take your business elsewhere.

I went in to get my battery tested. They tested my battery and said I have a good battery but no charge they didn’t offer to charge a battery for me which they do in store. I have to take it to O’Reilly auto parts to get the battery charged found out. The battery wasn’t good at all and had to buy a new battery from O’Reillys AutoZone is trash. The manager in this store needs to be fired. The workers do not do their job correctly. They’re too busy on their phone or talking to each other by the register, the store was better with the old manager.

There is an Auto Zone down the street from where I live. However I only go to the Auto Zone on Dodge for a few reasons. First as soon as you walk in the staff greets you and are ready to help. Second you can only find Moses at this location. He's knowledgeable on all the products and helped me pick the items that I needed. He made sure to point out the best prices for my budget. And he was more then happy to show me how to install the windshield wipers that I had just purchased. I highly recommend this location and Moses.

I needed to replace the battery in my car key fob. I stopped into the AutoZone in Evanston and was promptly helped by Maritza promptly. She sold me a replacement battery and replaced it on the spot - at a discounted price and no extra charge for replacing the battery - all with a smile. A very satisfactory encounter!

Amazing service at this AutoZone. The manager Maritza went above and beyond to help me out when my battery died due to the cold and everyone I spoke to at the store couldn't have been nicer. I don't write too many google reviews but I had to give this location a shoutout. Even though i don't live in the area i'll be going out of my way to purchase anything i need at this location.

Had an awesome experience with Dafina (apologies if I misspelled). She was knowledgeable and told me I was wrong about a part in the nicest way possible. She came outside in the snow and cold to help me fix two problems. Although it may be a part of her job, she did it in an incredibly thoughtful way.

The customer service was awful in this place .I told them if I were their boss I would have fired all of them. I went to auto zone to get a socket to remove a spark plug the manger said she doesn't know what size socket fits a spark plug I should go to homedepot. I found it on my own. Sadness lazy

I didn't get the young man's name who helped me and my son a few weeks ago, but he was so helpful. I was in and out with 3 items in less than 10 minutes, with him knowing exactly where to go for the items I was looking for and having recommendations for items I had to choose among. I know where I'll be going for my auto needs going forward!

Big thanks to Julio P who helped install my battery purchase with corrosion pads. Friendly, quick, and knowledgeable. Young man sold it to me and installed it. Not so much to the young lady who I held the door open for and didn’t say thank you as she rushed inside to clock in. Manners young lady.

I had an extremely unpleasant experience at the [Evanston] AutoZone 6054 Dodge on August 21, 2024. My daughter purchased brake pads around 11:56 AM, but was given the wrong ones by the manager on duty, Christian. When she attempted to return them, he rudely refused to process the return, stating that he didn’t like the way she parked. This caused unnecessary delays and additional costs, as my mechanic had to reassemble my car without completing the brake installation. When I went to the store with my mechanic to get the correct pads, another manager, Christiana, was kind and professional, helping us find the right parts. However, as she returned with the correct pads, Christian, from three registers away, started yelling aggressively about why he initially refused the return. His loud and disrespectful tone was not only shocking but also made me and others in the store extremely uncomfortable. It’s beyond unacceptable for a manager to behave this way towards any customer, let alone a woman. AutoZone 6054 Evanston needs to address this behavior immediately. I hope no one else has to go through what we did. While I appreciate Christiana’s assistance, I would seriously reconsider returning to this location due to Christian’s unprofessional conduct.

Had a wonderful experience yesterday. Ronald, Jay J and Roney are the absolute best and an asset to the store! They all went above and beyond! I will be back and I will tell everyone I know to go there for their automotive needs.

Trust me. I really don't give 5 stars for distinction, but I think I've saved my 5 stars for here. I'll not say much. I've met a supervisor really willing to help customers. I don't know how to thank him enough. It's good to know him and this store. Highly recommend.

I went here to have my battery replaced. Kristin was such a big help! He was personable and knowledgeable but not pushy. I felt like he was honest and not just trying to sell me. I ultimately chose a product diff from what he suggested but he didnt get rude or dismissive; he was still super pleasant and thorough. I'd highly recommend this location specifically if he's there.

Kristin was very nice and helpful with everything we needed. An excellent multitasker, extended his hands to other customers while doing amazon job with install a new battery and brake lights for us. Hands down one of the best retail experiences I have had in a very long time. I had to return a wiper blade that did not fit my car, so I went to Autozone to exchange the blade for the right size. I believe it was the store manager that was assisting me. He was incredibly helpful and quick. Haven't experienced customer service like this in a very long time. Highly recommend visiting this location.
