Horrible place, called for a light for my truck, so when I arrived they didn’t have it, the white dude lie to me…. Made me come from far away for nothing. That poor white dude can’t keep up with his job.
Went on a Saturday at 4:15 pm when schedule says they close at 5:30 pm and said they weren’t letting anyone in because they were already closing. If you are going get there 2 hours before close time if not just go the next day and save yourself the trip. Other than that good place to shop.
This company was very rude with me when trying to junk my car. I asked them on a time they would need to get to the location and was told to call someone else and hung up on. No explanation for not providing the service. Just rude and unprofessional communication coming from the owner and employees.

Dude was extremely rude over the phone, I had waited over 2 minutes on hold, so i put my phone on speaker while I tended to something. Before I could even get the phone off speaker to say anything he swore at me and hung up.

I found an ad on Facebook marketplace claiming that this location had some parts for an old 79' Chevrolet van. I called them the same morning I found the ad to make sure the ad was legitimate as well as questions pertaining to pricing. They were cordial over the phone and promptly gave me the pricing. I was ecstatic, I had found my parts. I traveled about 45 minutes to get there. Upon my arrival I saw the van, in a yard across from where the buisness was located. It sealed the deal that the van was actually there. I went inside and asked the associate at the desk if I could go pull those parts from it, as the van itself was in a different lot. He said, sure let me go ask my boss if it's ok to go over there. The boss came over and said that the van belonged to his brother (unrelated to the person who had the ad on Facebook) and that his brothers wife had cancer and that hed take a day to call him. I then explained how I had driven a while and that it wouldnt hurt to make a call to ask what the deal was with the van via information given by his brother. I waited around a few minutes because he was already in the middle of some paperwork. He made the call then told me that he'd be able to get back to me sometime about it. He was very flustered at this point and was very short with his responses. After he made the call, I showed him my phone and the ad from Facebook and asked "you dont know this guy/have any relation to him? He said nope, thats a scammer. I said ok, thats understandable it happens. He told me go to fb about the scammer issue, then got increasingly angry that I pryed on him to inquire about the van. He stated that "I didn't do enough for you about a 40 year old van?" "My fn family has cancer and you want more from me" I said hey man, I'm just on the hunt and have been looking all across the country for these parts, and you happen to have them. He yelled this all in my face, then asked my friend to leave as my friend had asked him to calm down. He then proceeded to walk back to his desk and pick up a rag which had a .38 black snub nose pistol underneath it, then he walked back to me and pointed at me and stated that I should get the f out of here now. I then said nothing and left, went home and called the police.
It was a bad situation over mere words. I could have lost my life.
Never go there if you expect anything good out of it.
The owner is a violent offender and illegally posseses a firearm.
Everyone here was super helpful and fast VJ and the other guys that worked today (didnt catch their names) were amazing i just needed a rim and they found a perfect fit! Will definitely be coming back thanks guys

Hello friends, my experience in this place is terrible. Maria Vargas is one of the workers, who retaliates, I take my wife, they send her to work, they tell me to stay with her to work, but it turns out that I had to fill a new mind the application, because it had already expired, they call me in half an hour to introduce myself... I couldn't go because I was busy and couldn't leave the things I was doing, I showed up the next day, after going to work for my wife I went in and Mrs. Maria Vargas said that because I did not arrive when she told me, I canceled and I canceled my wife... I agree that they canceled me but that they take things personally, things are not good for my wife, they did not have to cancel it She had already been working for 2 days, they said to cancel since they had 2 people who were going to show up the next day...they could send a person so as not to cancel another who was already working there, that's for my garbage, my The comment is to tell this person to be more pro and not to retaliate foolishly, that day there was a boy there who could not fill out the application, they told him that he would mark the place he would return to. someone that they could not help them that is silly because they are there to help request staff people arrive and act as if the people were known to them to say reparation badly for these people I hate this place I hope the representative and administrator of this place put regulations to these hateful people Maria vargas does not deserve that position they should put nicer people her reputation stinks.
I’ve been calling all over for the last two days and everywhere I called they either didn’t pick or were in a rush to get off the phone. I called here and although they didn’t have what I was looking for the help I received was definitely top notch. They were quick and personable and helped direct me in the right direction. Frank's cats cool and Frank is cooler! Family has been coming to this yard for years and they are super awesome they're inventory isn't all ripped up like other yards and they have way better prices than the lkq yards, highly recommend coming to them instead!
I was in need of a headlight. They searched and searched but couldn’t find it. They were very diligent. He even printed out a list of other places that might have it and gave me some free coolant. He didn’t have to do any of that but I was thankful. Great service
Used to be a good place but now it's dead along with bad customer service. I saw owner throw out customers for asking about something as innocent as prices and parts information.Having an attitude like that grumpy old man in”Grand Torino” he treats his customers and employees more and more ungratefully throughout the years forgetting that he once started out poor and working for somebody.
Even when customers were respectful to him, he uses his security guard to pick people up and throw them out even if you don’t resist just because he isn't having it that day.( not a normal person’s behavior)
Seriously, you own a junkyard and the people you service are usually poor hardworking people and you treat us like we are on "Hardcore Pawn." We just want parts for our cars not your bad attitude. Chicagoans work too hard to be insulted when they come in to spend money in your shop and provide to your family and employees.
So nice and helpful! As a woman it can be scary looking for things concerning a car thinking men will take advantage. Even though they didn’t have the part I needed Frank referred me to somewhere else!! I love this kind of service, definitely will be the first place I call next time I need something!!!
It's a great experience shopping at Frank's auto parts. They don't charge you an entrance fee. The environment fee, who by the way is a fake fee. Just to make more money on the poor customers. It's deplorable. Love Frank auto parts. They're honest people. They been in the neighborhood for 35 years and plus.

These guys are great!! Needed a car junked. Called them up Saturday and they said they could grab it same day. I got off work at 145 and asked if he could be there at 2pm. Sure enough, he was there right on the dot (in the loop downtown even). The whole exchange took maybe 3 minutes. Really friendly. Great experience. Great work guys!! I was impressed.
Absolutely great experience from beginning to end. I sold one of my vehicles to this place had no hassle or nonsense. Every other place I dealt with was shady and deceptive except for Franks’. I called there, got a quote, and within two hours the tow truck driver Bill (great guy) was hauling it away. I would recommend this place again and again.

I went in their to see if they had a part for my Volkswagen that at any store would be $50 or more. They had it and offered it half price. They were really cool with me. I found a part for my car that I was gonna buy on ebay for $15 the one guy just gave it to me. I was gonna pay the few bucks, but I was very grateful for getting it for free. I went early, and so there was no problem. It's a junk yard so of course it's gonna be dirty, but the customer service was great and I would go back again..
I gave a 2 for quality because it is used and you gotta pick it yourself.
I gave a 1 for appeal because come on... it's a junk yard and it looks a little outdated but does the job just fine.
I gave a 3 for service because the guys there were very nice to me and listened, the one guy even went to the back to see if there was someone who could pull the part for me. Awesome customer service.
