The prices pick your part has you can get them from RockAuto just about the same price and pick your part are all outside they do not account for this I miss the one they had in Chicago Heights was much better
I’ve gone here for 7 times now and never had a bad experience! employees are helpful and provide you with an interchange paper for the vehicle you need .Their inventory is well organized and has been cleaner,some stuff might not be there but majority of the time i find other stuff The young lady with braces is such a sweetheart and I love her energy.
Overall, I’m sure the employees are exhausted from hearing the constant complaining on prices they can’t control. Go to the dealership, see THOSE prices, and watch yourself come back crawling to junkyards
My dad recently visited this U-Pick-It junkyard, and the entire experience was beyond frustrating. From the moment he walked in, the front desk staff couldn’t be bothered — one of them literally sat there eating, ignoring him until he "felt like" assisting. No greeting, no sense of urgency, just straight-up disrespectful behavior.
After finally being helped, they gave him a damaged part — which is ridiculous considering customers are already doing the labor of pulling parts themselves AND mind you we drove from over an hour away. We then had to deal with the hassle of the return process, wasting even more time for something that wasn’t even our mistake to begin with.
The lack of professionalism, poor customer service, and total disregard for people’s time and money is honestly infuriating. I wouldn’t recommend anyone else waste their time here either.
I've encountered the most incompetent staff at this Chicago branch. I purchased a car headlight for $45. However, I was additionally charged $20 for a xenon ballast, and then another $20 for a lens adjustment module, which they also incorrectly identified as a xenon ballast. This means they billed me for two xenon ballasts for a single headlight. I urge those in leadership to address the lack of competence displayed by employees at this specific location. To other customers, please diligently review your receipts for accuracy.
Excellent experience picking parts here, and most recently selling my car here! Entire selling process took less than 15 minutes. Got an offer immediately online and drove there for payment. Could not have gone more smoothly.
Drove 4 hours to get some parts was assured they where available and priced at $1400. Arrived to very rude people missing parts and suddenly the parts they had where $3000. Worst service ive seen would not recomend.
This place has definitely went down hill I use to come here all the time the customer service fell off people on there phone and have a attitude when you ask for help won't spend a dollar here anymore
Tried to charge me 100 plus dollars for 1994 s10 tail light no harness no bulbs. I asked why so much and the manager tried to get loud and tell me if I don't like it get out. I will be reaching out to thr higher ups to make a complaint.
It wish can give them Zero Star, but there is no other option to get them one star, This place is full of crap, they never care about customers, I have been using other places to buy a parts, but never seen this worst what I learned from this place. Never be there anymore period.

Very bad customer service, they talk to you with bad attitude, they take forever to answer the phone, and whenever they answer they talk to you like you're their slave, all we want is to order a part or 2, they make it sound like they giving you gold, they humiliate you over the phone. Whoever own this location need to change the people that answer the phone or teach them how to respect all customers. It was my first time calling this location and its going to be the last time.

Expensive, messy and misleading photos of cars that are completely destroyed. I know it’s junkyard, but a car that looked like it was hit by a bus from all sides, looked very well in the photos. Made me drive there and NOTHING from the body of the car was usable.
Did I mention it’s expensive!? if you charge more than others put an effort in cleaning up and updating your yard
The prices are TERRIBLE every single time I go in there, it doesn’t matter the year and model. Verify the price before getting it, because it might be just a couple of dollars to buy it brand new. Example (bought a piece that was $34-40 at their junk yard and $50 brand new) Other than that, the staff is decent and they have a good amount of cars. But the parts are not worth the money they charge.
The people who work there are pleasant but it sure would be nice to get carts that actually roll and not have all broken flat tire carts or ones that are missing handles. Be sure to bring your own cart if you want something that isn't banged up and you have to drag it up and down the aisles
This used to be a great friendly place to get used parts in a pinch. NOT ANYMORE! The prices are outrageous. It’s less of a hassle and in many cases cheaper to just order it online. On 11-25-23 I was charged for a warranty that I specifically stated that I did not want bc the cashier was so called doing me a favor that I didn’t ask for. When I went back in to ask about the warranty the employees ganged up on me and I was verbally assaulted and threatened by an employee. When the regional manager called all he had to offer was an apology. What kind of company allows its employees to curse and threaten a customer and makes no attempt to make it right? I feel like some sort of monetary compensation is due. AVOID THIS PLACE. Lately circus has better vehicles and the pricing is WAY better.
Will never ever come back to this place. I had an emergency coming to this place needed a part got the wrong part would not exchange it or refund it. 100.00 completely wasted. When I walked back in to try and talk to the manager. The curly headed Hispanic boy that waited on us yesterday. Was laughing and carrying on about the mistake even though he pointed us to the car..Glad he is such an experienced person. Yet it looks as if he had not showered in a week. Very unprofessional.I went to Joliet u pull it and scrap on Washington.Much better yard and much much cheaper.
First time here! Very nice yard. Very large selection to pick from. I found a few items on my list. Prices are not that bad. The counter guys seem to be cool. I would definitely make the 45-minute drive to check them out again. It's also cool that they give you your money back on purchases and not a store credit.
Absolutely ridiculous how they price their parts. Example: 2007 IS had after market headlights which they priced for $536 each…. $1072 for the set. Scratched up and cracked in the back for the connections. They sell for $400-$600 for a full set brand new. LKQ pricing themselves out of the industry. Pathetically run. Don’t shop here. Victory is much better.
They have an online car hunt so you can pick and find your vehicle and find out the location, and the date it was brought in. They also have several pictures of the vehicles you're looking for. No and find out exactly what your price is before you go and get your part. They don't have a lot of Half Price or specials going on I asked the gentleman at the counter and he looked at me like I was asking for the world or something. Other junk yards in the area give half price and holiday special sales quite often where they do not. Unfortunate but still it has a very good selection of great automobiles prices are somewhat Fair and it's very organized I highly recommend it
I am always happy to save big money on auto parts at LKQ. It also makes me feel environmentally responsible recycling these parts that would normally go to the smelter. Every part I buy here is one less brand new part that has to be produced and shipped and trucked in. Big Win in my book. Save money and save the resources. $3.00 admission on the day I was there. No open toe shoes allowed.
It's $3 per person to get in. They accept credit/debit cards for the entrance fee and purchases. Wheel barrows are provided on first come, first serve basis for free. Tool rental available. They have great prices. The yard is pretty well organized. There is a port o john.
