had a flat tire simply asked to fill my air the guy that was in the front desk did not welcome me didn't even make eye contact and straight up sent me to the tire place next door hellooo i had a flat tire all i asked for was air and he ignored me and started talking to the lady that walked in. maybe have someone MORE POLITE in the front desk!!!!!!
I came here with a computer issue in my instrumentation cluster that 5 other shops couldn't figure out as well as front suspension issues. Not only did they pinpoint the computer issue, they offered an alternative to replacing my instrument cluster at over $2,000. They fixed it by bypassing and rewiring the bad computer driver without creating any safety issue with the vehicles systems for less than half the price of replacement. That's OUTSTANDING SERVICE in my book! They have some very intelligent and creative technicians there!!

Simply was requesting a quote for a old Mercedes convertible we would like to fix, and mentioned that Im trying my best to not spend to much for a old mercedes.

Took my car in and they said i engine mount broke. Got 2 other opinions and both import mechanic s stated engine mount was not broke! Plastic clip that holds ac line is what was making sound. They need to refund my 79.00 for falsified diagnosis! Let's see if they reach out!!
I had a great pleasure of dealing with CJ at APC and I am very pleased. The professionalism and honesty that is very hard to find nowadays. I was expecting to spend 3k but ended up only fraction of that thanks to honest and professional work this service shop provides. I was also provided with a loaner car while my car was worked on. 10/10 will definitely recommend and come back to service my vehicle here.
Very sad to say that this place is not what it used to be. My entire family used to bring the cars here. We trusted everyone with their recommendations and with the quality of the work. Not so much anymore. There were so many mistakes made over the last few appointments, and there were so many times when the quality of the work was questionable forcing us to come back for a redo, that I no longer have any trust in the work done here.
They take care of our company fleet and my personal cars for 20 years now!!! Great people to deal with and great service and always looking for ways to save you money on your repair!
The most important thing is that in addition to doing a great job on my cars, I trust them. When they say I need new brakes, I need new brakes, etc... If I'm better off bringing my car to a dealer (because of warranty support), they tell me that. Also great people to work with. I've sent several people here, and they've all been happy.
I brought my car for belt change as the belt broke and I lost steering power. When they looked at it, they said the tensioner needed to change and the other belt too. I said fine, later they call me about an issue with the axe, which they should have checked two weeks before as I asked them to check the front wheels and fix a loose arm that the tire shop told me to check. It ended up be 1800 for all. I asked to show me what they changed and what was wrong with it, they told me we cannot show you, it should be a new shinny thing under your car. I think if there was something really wrong with the axe they should have seen it two weeks before when I asked them to take a look at it. I think they up sale extra work for any car they work on.
The owner Chris is one of the most knowledgeable car mechanics in the country. He does a fantastic job at a reasonable fee. I highly recommend his operation and I absolutely put my name to it..

I was recommend to APC from a friend. I had an oil pan bolt that seemingly was stripped from the previous Audi Exchange Dealership as the bolt was not turning easily. I was afraid it was going to be a few thousand dollars to repair as the only fix would be to replace the oil pan on my R8. I took it to Chris at APC, he carefully explored the threads, noticed some small shavings which had been caught in them, rethreaded it, and $150 later my issue was no longer. These guys are professional, and know what they are doing. Highly recommend and trust them.

My second visit to APC was this morning 6-14-23. My review for today is all about the great customer service at the front desk. My guy (Bert I believe) was great, and in addition I was listening to others handling their customers while in the waiting room, and was thoroughly impressed. 5 stars!
Been hearing amazing things about this place for years but have always had leased cars or car under warranty. Decided I hate my local dealership and needed an oil change. Got a quote WAAAAY less then the dealership so I chose APC. Staff was amazing and very engaging in conversation. HIGHLY recommend using them
Can't say enough good about this place. Great work, great team, easy to work with, fast, fair, and friendly. I even like the comfortable waiting area (comfy lounge chairs and NO television). Bring a book, take a load off, relax, and let the experts do a great job on your car.
I had used a pre-purchase inspection service from them in 2022 and they give me a great report in a timely manner and the mechanics for great people really nice to talk to him very knowledgeable and understanding. So I took my car back again for a repair in January 2023 and same great service timely service great rate good guys all-around to work with for sure on my Porsche. I was recommended this place by a fellow Porsche owner and this is a great spot in lieu of the stealership. Definitely will go back again for oil changes or anything I might need for my Porsche. They even accepted my car warranty plan for repairs.

Rolled in with a sporadic start issue... Immediately diagnosed failed battery and corrosion on positive battery terminal, then discovered a faulty crank position sensor, replaced the sensor and car was running again without a hitch.

This was my first time taking my Porsche 911 to APC. I can't say enough about what great service and professionalism they offer! Chris and CJ were awesome! This issue turned out to be a minor one, and they were 100% honest and told me exactly what was wrong. I've used Porsche dealerships a few times in past years and will NEVER do that again. The shop is immaculately clean and very nice inside! First-class all the way! I will be using them for all my future repairs with this car and also my Cayenne!
My car died three days before I planned to move... unexpected stress in an already stressful time. I emailed APC and got a prompt response to set up an appointment! When my car died AGAIN the next day, they got me in early and even provided me with tow truck information in case I needed it.
Chris and the rest of the Arlington Performance team made this whole process so easy and smooth, and pricing was more than reasonable. Not only will I continue to work with them, I’ve already told my family in the area that if they need their car worked on, this is the place to go!
My experience with Arlington Performance is mixed. They do very good work and also press you to do very expensive repairs without regard for the age/value of your car. I recently took an older SUV in for service; the car, while in good overall condition, is worth perhaps $7,000. I was told it needed to have two gaskets replaced due to oil leaks (which have not caused even one drop of oil on my driveway). They also recommended (since the engine was apart) that I also replace the timing chain and do various other front suspension repairs (which were not safety related). With the needed routine maintenance, the total came roughly $5,000.
The AP service salesman pressed me pretty hard to do these repairs. But given the value of the car I decided to get a second opinion. So I took it back to the dealer from which it was purchased. After an extensive review with the service manager, we decided to do only routine maintenance with the understanding that we will employ “watchful waiting” on the leaks and timing chain. Total bill was $700 with a 10% discount.
So, while AP may/may not have been correct in their full diagnosis, their focus was on doing repairs, not on helping a (now former) customer make a sound economic decision. It’s been a week or so since this experience and I share it so that others can be aware; and perhaps pause before ponying up for thousands in repair costs that may long outlive their vehicle.
Getting the referral to bring my BMW into APC was the best auto decision I have made. The service was excellent, Jimmy is always polite and happy to see you. The diagnostics are very professional and timely. I would definitely recommend

This place is great! While no one wants to have issues with their vehicles, Arlington Performance Center actually makes it an enjoyable experience. They sent an inspection report with pictures on their findings. I’ve never had an auto repair shop be so transparent.
Staff there were extremely friendly and calmly answer all your questions. Jimmy answered all my questions and took the time to go into great detail.
If you’re in the northwest suburbs (or anywhere for that matter), I’ll go out of my way to take my car here for any repairs!
These guys are great. We love working with Jimmy and everyone else there. Our family trust him explicitly! Anytime we have had an issue with our cars he has come to the rescue. Whether it’s something small or big he is willing to take the time to help us out. I wouldn’t go anywhere else and most definitely would recommend them to anyone looking for auto services.
