I had a great experience. I had some work done and i asked Gino to check my brakes since someone told me i needed front and rear brakes. Gino told me i didn't need either at this time. Needless to say, I was relieved and greatful for his honesty. And he cleaned my car to boot. I will be returning for future repairs!

I needed to get my brakes done on my Toyota Highlander. I first took it to the dealership to find out how much they wanted. They gave me a quote of $2100 which included the rotors and brake pads + labor.
I wanted a second opinion-
So I called Consentinos Auto shop and
I spoke with the manager. I believe his name is Gino, I told him my concerns over the phone and he told me to bring in the car so they could look over it. The conclusion was I ONLY needed my front brakes to be replaced. The rear still had a lot of life left in them. The mechanic recommended me to replace the old break fluid since I’ve never had it done before. He showed me the old brake fluid compared to the new one, and it was night and day the difference. he also told me never to overflow the brake fluid reservoir because it could cause problems. Never knew this before.
He also change my swaybar links since the old ones were broken. Overall had a great experience and I will continue doing business with these guys.
Worked with Gino to get my wife’s Grand Cherokee back up to par. Gino and his team hit it out of the park, offered great service and communication throughout. No unnecessary repairs or inflated costs. Very happy customer.

Several weeks ago I called to ask about an oil change and a list of concerns with my 8 year old car. Gino and crew checked out my car thoroughly and gave me a good assessment of future maintenance. I turned to Consentinos for help and not only were they able to help with the 02 sensors, but get it in for emissions and passed. My wife has used them for years and I should have made the switch myself a long time ago.
After continual AirTeam emission test failures for my BMW e39 M5, this gem of a place solved my emission issues for under a grand. This was to my delight, was only a couple days, and I passed the next test. The reason that price was so well-received by me is because of the comparison to a separate other shop's behavior.
Sorry to vent about a competitor, but the contrast is important. This occurred after spending over $7K at an entirely different shop in the far West suburbs that I used to trust... and they had the car for over 6 weeks! Ugh, I should have been more wary of new management. After the 6+ weeks and $7K+ spent, and failing emissions again after that, the same far West suburb shop told me it could be around $9K MORE WORK to pass emissions! Went to Cosentino's instead and the results were the most golden contrast that you could hope for as a customer.
Highly recommend! Gino the owner is awesome. We have trusted him with our car repairs for several years. He is honest, conservative and very thorough. He explains the problems very succinctly and details what is a priority and what we could wait on, forming a long term plan of sorts.
He even recommended where to go to get new tires and made some calls on our behalf to get the best deal.
He has a loaner car to boot. Great shop! Gino and his team take extra measures to be sure you are completely satisfied. Cannot say enough about this place!!!!
Gino and his crew are great. They pay attention to detail and do quality work. I have had several cars serviced there and never once had a problem. The work is great and I have never felt like I was taken advantage of with the pricing. This is a quality establishment doing quality work on cars.

My second-hand car has been serviced, by Gino and his men, since 2010 when I first purchased it. I would visit my parents and my dad would love taking my car to Gino's for an oil change...1) to get out of the house, and 2) my dad enjoyed "car talk" with Gino while waiting. He had the utmost respect for Gino and his crew. My dad passed, yet still living an hour away, I continue to bring my car to Gino for any needed services. I now see why my dad had that respect, because I now have it, too. Being a family owned business, Gino takes his time giving his professional opinion, knowledgeable about makes and models, has respect for his crew, and takes time to explain what the work would entail. He calls within the day with progress updates, and if the job can't be done within that day, there are loaner cars. I can go on and on about Gino and his shop. Knowing myself and lack of knowledge of cars, when I call about a problem or stop in, I feel like I am treated than more than just a customer.

The owner seems like a good guy, but wasted a ton of my time and money on 3 brake replacements. I went in for new brakes, a month later they were squeaking so I went back in for warranty replacement. A month later they were grinding pretty badly so I went in for a 2nd warranty replacement. A month or so later they were grinding again so I went in for a 3rd brake replacement. 2 months later they were grinding again and I had enough so I went elsewhere. I went to a private party who used higher quality parts (which Gino said he did previously) and its been 3 months, no issues. Sorry Gino, the brake parts you use a junk and I'm pretty sure you know it. Go to Car Quest moving forward for brakes.

If I could give more than five stars I would. I have been bringing my car to Cosentino's Auto Service for many years. Recently my daughter graduated from college and needed some extensive repairs to her car. We brought the car in and once again, Gino took care of us. He does excellent work at a fair price. Not only that, he treats you like family. He did an outstanding job on the repairs as usual.
