Dakota K was very honest with what work needed to be done on my car. They recommended tires that met my needs and did not try to up sell me to a different tire. They were honest with what repairs my car did not need which is refreshing. Everyone I interacted with was friendly and helpful. Work was done very quickly. I will definitely use again in the future.

12/10/25 update: Feel the need to go back into this review and add more since I continue to have amazing service from Dakota Ks. This time I brought in my older VW. The tech attempted diagnostics but felt it really should go to a VW dealership for repair as it needed extensive (specialized) work. I really appreciated the honestly and they didn’t even charge me a single penny.
Recently moved to the area and was recommended Dakota K Auto Repair for my vehicles. Originally took my vehicle in for a noise. Once the tech had the car on the lift they were able to see bad uneven wear on the tires. They called and informed me of the problems and shared photos with me as well to ensure ion was educated on the potential fixes. They fixed the issue and gave me a great price on tires with no high pressure sales pitch. I left feeling like an appreciated customer!
Had some rough back and forth between the selection and insurance. Keith at DK Auto went above and beyond and kept in touch with me every step of the way even though they ended up not doing the service. I will absolutely return!

This experience getting all my brakes done was great. Their prices are very reasonable and they’re very professional. Even when they ran into an issue with the repair they were able to resolve it with no additional cost. My family has been bringing our cars there for decades.
I had a terrible experience at this shop. The front desk staff clearly had extremely limited knowledge. The whole place felt chaotic and unqualified, with what looked like a young, unsupervised worker doing tasks far beyond his capability.
I needed a simple valve hose replacement, and while every other shop in the valley quoted me no more than $200, Dakota quoted me over $800. I’m not sure if that price was jacked up to cover everyone’s lunch and coffee? It made absolutely no sense.
They charged over $200 just for an advanced diagnostic, which is outrageous when reputable shops in the area charge about $50 for the same service. The building itself looked rundown and unsafe, and I did not feel comfortable trusting them with my car. Outrageously priced for MINIMAL work.
I’ve had bad experiences elsewhere, but I would go back to Heart Auto Care in a heartbeat before ever going back here. This place is not reputable, not professional, and definitely not worth your time or money. If you want to be scammed out of your money, this is the place. RUN!

I went to them because I wanted to get a full inspection on my car because there was a noise I couldn’t figure out. They gave my car many tests and couldn’t find anything wrong but informed me that the car was 100% safe. Zach on the front desk said that when they don’t find anything there is no charge, even though I was willing to pay for the peace of mind. They also recharged my A/C at a very reasonable price. This was my first time ever using them and I couldn’t be more satisfied. I would recommend them to anyone who needs car repairs. They also have a shuttle service to drop you off and pick you up when you leave your vehicle. Try them out and you will be surprised at how good they are.

Moved here a year ago and chose this mechanic over others in the area. I was looking for someone old school that has been around a long time with ASE certified techs. Dakota reminds me of the mechanic shop my parents and I only took our vehicles to for work for countless years. Very satisfied with the upfront prices and there were things they could have got over on me with but instead we're honest and able to reuse and save the parts and save me money instead of replacement. These guys will have my business from now on truck is back driving like it's new again
I brought my 2009 Chevy Suburban in to see why the Check Engine light came on. The diagnostics showed an Engine Oil Pressure Sensor issue resulting in replacing the Oil Pressure Switch. I was given a time upfront as to when the job would be completed. It was finished right on time. I want to say the entire experience from start to finish was great. Dakota K is the only place I would trust with my vehicles. They have helped me with a range of issues in recent years with both my daughter's car and with my minivan, and I cannot say enough good things about their amazing customer service and talented service technicians. They go above and beyond to figure out the source of the problem, and they do not to leave any stone unturned. They are the most honest, thorough, knowledgeable, respectful, and kind technicians and customer service team that I have ever encountered, and I am extremely grateful to have found them.
Came in because I had a flat tire, and needed to have my brand new tire plugged but unfortunately it went through the side wall. They had to get a new tire from Indiana ( during the snowstorm in the Midwest yesterday )and did a turnaround in less than 24 hours.
Extremely helpful and very friendly, and I felt extremely comfortable with them and the with price of the tire!! Below dealer prices!!

It was my first time with Dakota K and I am very happy with the service. Not only the problem was correctly diagnosed and fixed for a moderate price, but also my car key battery was replaced for under $1 (Honda dealership charges $40 for key battery replacement).
