TERRIBLE customer service. They caused more damage than what the vehicle went there for. I cannot get anyone to return my phone calls or emails. Vehicle was supposed to be there for 1 day ended up being there for over a week, I ended up having to pay out of pocket to repair the things they broke not to mention the greasy handprints on the light grey headliner of a brand new vehicle. I will not be returning to this place nor recommending it to anyone.

I think the world of my sales person, he went out of his way to make everything right but one person can’t save a broken service department. I don’t understand how car dealerships don’t get that repeated business truly involves the continued service the customer receives not the one time sale… but alas here I am writing this review. To think that I drive an hour and a half to get to this dealership because I was told good things only to be so disappointed. My first oil change after buying my car here they managed to put a good greasy hand print on the light grey headliner in my car, of course I could have driven the hour and a half back and had them clean it but my schedule did not make time for that so I lived with it until time for the next oil change. While it was in for that first Chang I asked them to look into a strange noise it was making, well… it was still making this noise when I got home so I decided to find out what it was - it wasn’t hard, clips came free and the fender well was rubbing the tire but the person never looked however they told me all was good… My second experience was ok as they corrected all the problems from experience 1. Here I am with experience 3. It’s Saturday, I called Tuesday and scheduled the appointment, asked them to look into yet another strange sound while it was here. No problem they told me! Then I arrived, they don’t have me on the books, can’t find my appointment, they can squeeze me in but turns out the light in my car wasn’t for an oil change it was only for tire rotation so that’s all I get… nobody’s here to look at the noise so I can schedule sometime next week to come back. Nope - I’m done, I’m never coming back. Getting service on a vehicle where you purchased it shouldn’t be a battle. Then the best part was when they came to give me my key they tried to blame it on my number being wrong in their system, what!?!

Few years ago, about five, just now got around to this because it took me that long to be nice about it. Long story short.....I bought a used 2015 Silverado....good truck. Had all the symptoms of the 14-18 model years transmission trouble. I had the 30 day warranty and it was brought to their attention in that time frame. I had to have it rebuilt and didn't have time to fight with the dealer on time frame for repairs. They had the same old story line just needs fluid changed that they tell everybody and well that didn't fix it so must be something else just bring it back in, yeah 50 miles one way, and we will have it for who knows how long. I paid to have it rebuilt and the dealer would not even comp me 30% for what they knew, (possibly knew maybe, used car dealers are all alike)-was the issue. Gave me the run around about extended warranty and on and on then we could have helped. Right and it would have been multiple trips to the dealer and it would still not be fixed because we know they won't put in a new transmission but will bandage the daylights out of the one you have. Oh well. Got me once but never again and I do not recommend this automobile dealer. I take no pleasure in leaving a bad review but you should leave them if and when you have such a horrible experience and terrible representation by the dealerships salesmen. Grandpa said all salesmen are liars. He may have been on to something. Caveat Emptor.

A huge thank you to Thomas Moore from the service department and the technicians who fixed a coolant leak in my truck. They were very understanding of the issue and took care of the issue quickly. I couldn't recommend them enough!

Shady shelia mechanics that overcharge just to look at a car without doing any work. They don’t keep records of work done. I will never do business with them again.

My husband and son were out of town, we just had two days of heavy snow, so what else could go wrong? How about a check engine light and my only vehicle not running right when I have a little one I need to get to places. Jeff White, Aiden Collins, and 1st Class Wrecker Service all came through for me. They took a very stressful day for me and removed a big one. They came to my home, brought me a loaner vehicle, and took my Yukon XL back to the dealership. There was no hassle, no stress, they just did it. Their service went above and beyond. This is why I always have been and will remain loyal to this dealership.

Took my car in there told them it needs to be hooked up to scanner for an idle relearn thats all it needed then they try to tell me that I have all these different issues an trying to screw me out off 2200 dollars when I told them it just needs reset they acted like I was stupid didnt know what I was talking about wouldn't ever recommend going there they just want your money an try to lie to you about what's going on with your car

Stopped by to have them put plates on my car. I didn't buy my car from them, and it's not a Kia, but they installed the plates right away and at no cost. I love small town businesses! This is the way it should be. Shout out to the service department, you're aces in my book!

I got my car in December 2024, been trouble since I got it. The brake pedal does not decompress and car doesn't start. This is the 3rd time it has been there. I have described the problem each time! Today I get a call it has been there for 4 days. They tell me a new starter was ordered. My sales person, Tony, didn't tell the about the brake problem. I don't think they know how to fix it! Not happy with this purchase. Make sure you ask them before you buy, why did the previous owner sell it. Or do a car fax! Terrible.

Sadly the customer service has gone to hell. Too many bad experiences to fit in this review. They are careless, incompetent and don’t listen Also caused damage to my vehicle twice and only made excuses. The last ordeal cost me a $500 deductible and a claim to my insurance. DONE

I recently brought my truck in for a simple oil change—an unremarkable, routine task. When I got it back, I noticed a trim piece beneath the steering column had been left off. Mistakes happen. So, giving the benefit of the doubt, I brought it back and politely pointed it out. The response? “I don’t have anyone to look at it, bring it back another time.” Fine. I rearranged my schedule, took time off work, and brought it back again. This time, I was told—with a straight face—that GM wouldn’t allow the repair unless the part was actually broken. Not missing. Not improperly reinstalled. Just broken. Apparently, restoring something to the way it was before you touched it exceeds the scope of your service policy. Out of curiosity, I checked with another dealership. They had no problem addressing the issue—because, unlike your staff, they understand what professional responsibility looks like. This leaves me with three possible conclusions about your service representative: He is lazy and unwilling to take ownership He is uninformed and unqualified Or he is lying to customers to avoid doing his job None of these inspire confidence. All of them guarantee I won’t be back.

Working with Scott Hensley at KC Summers was a standout experience from start to finish. He was patient, courteous, and made the entire process feel seamless. One of the things that really impressed us was that he went out of his way to bring the car to us — something you don’t see every day. It felt like VIP treatment without the pressure. In 2023, I purchased a Brand New 2023 Hyundai Sonata N-Line from K.C. Summers, and it has been nothing but a headache ever since. Not long after driving off the lot, issues started piling up. First, the high-pressure fuel pump failed. Then came warped rotors, bad calipers, a broken seat latch, and a malfunctioning lock/unlock button. When I had them mount and balance brand new tires, things got even worse. The car suddenly drove horribly, with intense road noise and shaking at 60–65 mph. On top of that, they damaged my rims during installation. When I brought it to their attention, the service manager initially tried to blame me instead of his own techs or equipment. Only after repeated complaints did they agree to order new rims—under my warranty—and even then, the exact same issue occurred again. It was only after that second incident that they finally inspected their own mounting and balancing machine and found that it was the cause of the problem all along. The final straw was my most recent visit. I spoke directly with the assistant service manager (who happens to be the service manager’s son) and made very clear plans for my car to be driven from one town to another and returned the same day. I explicitly said I did not want my car kept overnight, especially since it was a Friday—I didn't want it sitting at some tech’s house over the weekend. Well, that didn't happen. The technician drove my car over 200 miles, took it on a personal trip, and left trash, clothes, and lawn chairs in my vehicle. I tracked the car using GPS and had to recover it myself around 11 p.m. Now, months later, I’m still dealing with ongoing and new issues. I tried to schedule another service appointment—only to be told the day before by the service manager himself that they are refusing to service my car in any way, shape, or form, despite the fact that it’s still fully covered under warranty. This experience has been nothing short of a nightmare. I would strongly recommend thinking twice before trusting K.C. Summers with your vehicle or your business.

We purchased our 2017 F150 from Wil at KC Summers in 2021 and returned for our 2024 Buick Encore. Wil makes everything so easy! He finds the best fir for your needs for both comfort and finances! He is the absolute best in the business and I will never go anywhere else for sales or service again!!!

I highly recommend K C Summers! I’m the kind of girl that HATES every second of the process of buying a new car (I would literally rather shave my eyebrows off), but with Wil at K C Summers, the process was a breeze & actually enjoyable! There was no pushy salesman tricks, no mansplaining, no annoying gimmicks, just a kind, helpful & personable experience from start to finish!!!

Absolute garbage service department. BEWARE! 2023 Buick Encore GX threw an engine code after 30k miles. Still under warranty. First tech tells my wife they are booked and to "go ahead and drive it unless it's flashing". Our service appointment? All the way on October 8th. Called yesterday and said to go ahead and bring it in. They did not have the part. So today, bring it back for the part. My wife took it in at about 9:45AM. Here it is 12:28PM and they are saying "two more hours because our senior tech is on lunch." Meanwhile, our kids get out of school. Have no way of getting there on time. Do you think KC Summers cares? Of course not!! Their techs wanna drag their feet on a warranty part that is simply a sensor in the ignition. Should have taken two hours MAXIMUM to complete. My father in law has been a loyal customer to this place for over thirty years. That ends today. No longer will my family be giving you ANY business and everyone reading this should seriously think twice about spending your hard earned money here. This is not the same place it was 20 years ago. Nobody cares anymore.

We can't say enough about the over the top service experience we had today from Thomas and the service staff at the Toyota department. My sister and her husband were passing through on I 57 and suddenly experienced a broken drive belt on their Ford Escape, at 3:30 p.m. The staff diagnosed the problem, ordered a new Ford belt, and installed, working a little overtime. Thank you for helping them get back on the road.

We recently bought a 2024 Hyundai Ioniq 5 from KC Summers and are very pleased with their service & the car! Ryan Hart did a great job finding the EV we wanted in a timely manner and there was no hard sell + no bad vibes like you can get elsewhere. This is now the 3rd vehicle we have purchased from KC Summers, dating back to 2010.

My battery for my 2012 VW key finally went down and I went to a couple of auto part stores. Nobody would touch it in fear they would break it. I then went down to one of KC's dealerships where they fixed the problem and declined taking any payment saying the battery was simply public service! You won't run into that type of kindness very often! 🤗

Their top notch team makes your buying experience effortless from start to finish. I cannot speak highly enough for our sales agent, Scott. He is a very hard working, kind and honest which you don’t find a lot of in the used car industry. If you are in the market for a vehicle, give him a look at the very least!

HORRIBLE experiences. First experience: We had damage to our new Hyundai due to the wiring harness being made out of soybeans. When we took it in for repair they ordered the wrong part, kept my car for 3 -4 weeks, did not have a loaner so we had to pay for a rental. We gave them a second chance by taking same vehicle in for regular maintenance. Our appointment was at 8:15. I went to check on it at 9:00 and they had not even touched our car. When I asked about it the answer was they were double booked and it would be awhile before they could even get started on it. Needless to say my husband and I left. We will NOT go back there at all. Really wish I could give it a zero star.

Great people to work with. Bought a New GMC and feel I got the red carpet treatment. Cindy was awesome to work with. Purchased the truck truck from Texas and flew in to pick it up. I have to admit we have not had a lot of service done at KC Summers- Mattoon, however, what we have had done has been excellent. I especially want to mention two young men we have recently dealt with have been so very polite, professional and friendly. They are in the Parts Department, Brandon, and Repair Department, Dom. I have been in varying roles of customer service all my life and I gave excellent customer service, therefore, I expect the same. I wish I could give more than 5 stars. They so deserve it. We will be back.
