In the 4 years that I’ve been coming here I’ve had only one bad experience. I don’t believe that employee is there anymore, though. Anytime I go in I have super friendly service, they remember the little details that help make you feel valued as a customer, and the manager has a super fun sense of humor making even the most irritating breakdowns not too awful even if just for the time you’re shopping, and he has gone above and beyond to check on things to see if I had a warranty. The whole crew has been great and very helpful. Great team there.
While driving cross country our engine light came on. Darryl scanned it for us and it turned out to just be a very small fuel vapor leak. Not a big deal and shouldn’t cause us to miss our event. Thank You so Much for giving these stressed out travelers a little peace of mind!!!
On Friday May 9th 20-25 two of my Christian Brothers and me broke down in a town Greenville Illinois. This town had one auto shop that I was familiar with which was O'Reilly's #2480. The staff at this O'Reilly's went above and beyond their duty we had nowhere to stay we were afraid of getting the car towed we didn't know nobody in town and the staff at O'Reilly's let us stay in their parking lot we were in their parking lot . The car was in the parking lot from the 9th until the 14th. Which was yesterday Wednesday. It was told to a maintenance shop and the car was fixed. But the guys at this O'Reilly's Auto Parts store was a blessing Daryl Griffith Jesse Brad and if I missed anyone's name I am very sorry I didn't mean to miss your name because all of you went above and beyond to help us I'm 67 years old and I have a memory problem so forgive me if I didn't mention your names. But I am grateful beyond words can say before the help that you guys provided us in our time of need. This little town at Greenville Illinois open my eyes to the true meaning of Christian love and Christianity. I promise y'all I will not forget this town I will be coming back to visit. May everyone have a blessed and wonderful time and may God watch over each and every one of y'all. And once again I want to thank the owner Bill for his staff because he has a wonderful staff these guys are blessing not just to us but to other people too. You have a tremendous staff Bill.
O'Reilly Auto Parts in Greenville, Illinois, proved to be a surprisingly helpful experience. Initially, I just needed replacement headlight bulbs, expecting a standard, run-of-the-mill purchase. However, the knowledgeable employee completely changed my perspective.

I sent a female friend to the store to pick up a bulb and some clips for a tail light. Even sent pictures of everything. The employee sold her the wrong bulb ( which was looked up on the computer ) and told her she would have to buy a whole new tail light. So I had to take the bulbs back and showed them where the clips were. A different employee was helpful but the first employee had a attitude that it wasn't his fault.
The staff was very helpful, specifically the associate that helped me install my battery, Drew. Service was fast and was much cheaper than I was expecting
My check engine light came on and couldn't hardly keep the van running. Walked in and the guy grabbed the code reader and out we went. It said it was a misfire on cylinder 6. I thought it was the ignition coil like it had been 3 other times. The guy working was named Jacob and he said that I should start with the spark plug first so I did. They don't have hardly any tools to borrow because people have stolen them all, but they did have a socket set he let me use. I was able to get the ignition coil out of the way but I didn't have any deep set socket. He went to his truck and brought back his personal deep socket set and he got the old plug out and put the new one in. I started the van and that was it, ran great. Put everything back together and he had already went inside. I didn't want to leave without telling him thank you and shaking his hand. Hardly any younger people even GO to work anymore and if they do they don't care about anything except for going home. So I wanted to let him know that I appreciated it and how he actually seemed to care about his job.
Everything was really clean. Found what I wanted within 2minutes, the boy that helped me was so nice and helpful. I'm really grateful for his help. I think his name is Jake, not sure.
The young men who worked that day were fantastic! They not only helped with choosing my new battery, but they installed it for me, too. Great small town auto parts store.
Friendly workers, but not everyone working knows what is needed for vehicles and, those who do not know, attempted to sell my friend more parts for their vehicle than were needed when changing out brakes and rotors.
We prefer the Vandalia location over Greenville, mostly because of how knowledgeable they are. But, if we are out this way we will stop here before NAPA or any other local parts store. Theu are always willing to help figure out how they can help!
Great went to get wiper blades for my wife's car and the counter person looked up what ones that I bought last time.
And suggested some that he uses that are better and cheaper and installed them too and only took a couple of minutes

They are effective and efficient and get straight to the point with what i needed to know to assess and repair my vehicle and even give tips on the repairing process. Thanks so much
