Most reviews laud professional, friendly service and fair, transparent pricing, quick turnarounds, and work done right (tires, oil changes, pumps, alternators). Wait times are often short. Common complaints: one long-time customer reports unresolved A/C issues; the shop won’t install customer-supplied parts, and declined welding/fabrication, which disappointed some; one felt upselling. Little to no info on inventory variety, yard organization, or parts-finding. Overall, highly rated, but policies and scope may not fit every need.
Fantastic shop that delivers quality every time ! Moved to the area 2 years ago. I’ve had my 08 F350 6.4 diesel in to get tires, new radiator, water pump, front end work and oil changes. Love their attitude and friendly service !
Couldn’t fix my A/C after more than one time. Spent a lot of money just to pick it up the first time and it was blowing hot air. Second time it worked for an hour. Third time it barely went a year. Have had other bad experiences and unsatisfactory work completed. I will not go back after 10+ years of going.
I truly hate to leave a bad review, however, I would be remiss if I did not warn the public of my particular experience. We just moved here from Southeastern Idaho and I called about having the wheel bearings replaced on my wife’s car. Our ASE Certified mechanic from Southeastern Idaho had purchased our parts from NAPA before we moved but we were not able to get them installed before we had to relocate.
I called this shop to inquire about having them install the parts and was immediately informed that they do not permit customers to bring in their own parts. The person on the phone claimed this was because of (1) liability issues and (2) issues of warranty coverage. The proffered excuses were bogus (more on that in a second). Anytime you have an auto mechanic telling you-you cannot use your own parts it is NOT TRUE as they just want to sell you their overpriced parts instead (often of extremely low quality, such as Advance Auto grade junk). I will address both of the shop’s proffered claims ad seriatim.
The excuse for “liability” is disingenuous. A mechanic cannot be held liable for damages caused by a customer supplied part unless it was negligently installed. A person cannot, in the eyes of the law, bring liability against a mechanic for installing a faulty or dysfunctional part that the customer supplied and asked to be put on, as the mechanic never breached a duty owed which is required for any negligence claim. If anything, the potential for liability is GREATER when a mechanic supplies both the part and the service, as s/he is then wearing two (2) hats as both a service provider and a provider of goods (once they become a seller of goods, the Uniform Commercial Code applies to the mechanic which carries a whole host of additional liabilities than if the mechanic remained just a service provider).
The second excuse for “warranty” concerns is similarly disingenuous. In many consumer purchases, the customer has a choice to purchase or refuse a warranty. And it is the customer’s right to accept of refuse warranty coverage to the same extent that it is their right to have a part installed on their vehicle made by the manufacturer of their choice. While it is true that some mechanics might warranty the parts they sell, a customer (such as in the case at bar) has every right to contract with another parts manufacturer such as NAPA and enjoy the generous warranty offered from that company. Remember, you are contracting the mechanic for the SERVICE, not as a seller of goods. (Google “predominate purpose test” of contract law).
I tried to use this shop because I was impressed with the overwhelmingly positive reviews. However, it is simply unacceptable for a mechanic to use deceptive tactics to manipulate consumers into purchasing the mechanic’s products rather than allowing the customer to utilize superior quality parts on his or her vehicle. For this reason alone, I respectfully dissent from the majority of positive reviewers on this page. I make no determination regarding the quality of services provided by this shop as I never used their services.
Highly recommended for any automotive repairs that you need. Very professional and efficient. Our alternator replacement was accomplished without a hitch.

Wonderful experiences on multiple occasions. They are very honest, knowledgeable, and super friendly. They go above and beyond. They also honor all their work. This is the only place my family will go to from now on.
I brought my truck in because the track bar bracket that's welded to the axle broke, they told me there's nothing they can do. I know people weld brackets onto axles, even install complete solid axles in vehicles by custom welding new suspension. I just thought it was weird how there's nothing they can do. They didn't even try. Maybe it's a liability issue but it seems like theyre just a shop for oil changes or tire rotations and don't/wont actually repair things that take effort. Otherwise they were polite and great costumer service.
After moving to St Maries, we didn't know anyone. Needing a mechanic, we googled and found these guys, Fast Eddies. And so glad we did. They're great! They work fast and the prices are very reasonable. And everyone is very friendly and helpful.
