We are fairly new in the area and first impressions is everything. Our vehicle was towed to Heritage Auto Repair by Triple AAA.. Prior to that given 3 selection of auto repairs shops to service our Vehicle. We chose Heritage Auto Repair. The shop was very clean and organized with varieties of snack ,with drinks. Bill and staff were very professional, kind, courteous and polite. Bill approach us and ask us how he can be of help . He was awesome . He took us to our hotel due to the car rental place never showed up. Bill called us and kept us informed regularly about the vehicle and explained to us in full detail what was exactly needed to for our vehicle to get us back on the road:) if there was any questions he made himself available to address, very efficient.
Our water pump went out, they had to put timing change and gear assembly, spark plugs needed air filter, replaced, coolant changed .. We were a give a thorough an accurate estimate and Bill kept us updated to any findings and promptly. The car running great and we are *Back on the road again!

We went to Heritage because we knew we had an oil leak that needed fixed, they kept our pick up for 2 day to "diagnose" it, then charged us a $750
"diagnosing fee". Not only is that OUTRAGEOUS,
they quoted us almost $8k in work that needed done. Got a second opinion from another shop that will do the same work for $1500. We had $10k worth of work done on the same vehicle a year and a half ago and felt like we were being ripped off then, but didn't have anywhere else to go.
Needless to say, double check pricing elsewhere before committing to work done here.
Heritage has serviced two of my vehicles for 5 years and have always been honest about repairs needed and have recommended that I hold off on certain maintenance due to possible warranty conflicts. Their work has always been done on time and professionally correct. Because of their honesty I gladly drive 9 miles out of my way to have them work on my vehicles!
My car had an intermittent squeal sound, Donnie my POC at Heritage Auto and the auto mechanic used all means to locate and fix the sound. It took a couple of days and many hours to find it, however my bill only included the hours to fix and replace the parts. Throughout this process, Donnie kept me informed and did an excellent job explaining what had to be fixed. If someone had auto concerns, I would recommend Heritage Auto Repair
The shop told me that a control arm was tearing, and fixing it would cost $1,500. I took the car to a mechanic I trust who checked everything related to control arms twice and found NO ISSUES with it.
This was my first visit to Heritage Auto Repair, and I was thoroughly impressed. Jeff, my service manager, was professional, communicative, and made the entire process smooth. They quickly diagnosed and resolved a squealing noise the car made while backing up. I’ll definitely be bringing my other two vehicles here in the future. Highly recommend!
4 visits in 3 or 4 months and way over budget. 1st visit was for a check engine light and ended up fixing a few other things. On the drive home it over heated. Had to take it back to be worked on again. Drove it home again engine started smoking. Had to take it back again. Now as soon as it heats up and gets to 90 degrees 3 months and 500 miles later it starts over heating again. Car has constantly been in the shop and my original budget of 1500 or im gonna sell it has been completely blown out of the water
My son and I have dumped over $3000 in a vehicle that was worth $1000. We told them when we came in we didn’t want to spend more than 1500. They said the first issue would be $1600 to fix. So we went for it. Car was smoking when we got it back. They charge us another $2000 for something else that had to be fixed. Then we brought it back again because we had other issues at which point they wanted to charge us $150 to inspect the vehicleThey ended up not inspecting the vehicle doing the work for another thousand dollars. So now we’re in the whole couple thousand dollars on a vehicle that was worth 1000 bucks. Now the car is overheating. They are now telling us we have to pay another $150 for them to look over the vehicle again!! Run go somewhere else!
Amazing experience. Very trustworthy and accommodating. They gave me a total of four rides back and forth when I needed it. Diagnosed and fixed my AC. I will be using this company in the future for all my auto repair needs.

First impressions were great! I had a problem with my heater not working. When I took it to them for a coolant flush, they recommended I repair a couple leaks before they flush it. They were respectful that I wanted to repair the leaks myself.
While I repaired the leaks I decided to install an S&B cold air intake on my pick-up.
When I took it back to Heritage for the flush they admitted that they did not flush the heater core--which was the whole reason I wanted them to work on my truck. In the process, they did however break my new intake.
Apologetically, they refused any extra payment to flush the heater core and assured me they'd replace the broken cold air intake part. As I was driving away feeling good about the interaction, I realized that my truck was blowing coolant all over the freeway. They did not put the hose clamps back on and blew ALL of the coolant out of my truck before I could get stopped in a safe location. I opened the hood to find they damaged my air box even more. They did not reimburse me for the lost coolant. When I went to pick up the part they broke, it was completely wrong and he was obviously trying to get the cheapest alternative option and not going to the manufacturer.
I would NEVER recommend their services again.
If you've ever been looking for a trustworthy mechanic, you'll find that in Heritage. They do what they say and they're straight up on their communication so you can make an educated decision up front vs getting all sorts of added fees after the fact. Brought my car in for an overall checkup and this place was great! They identified every issue and sent me a detailed list (with pictures!) of what was going on. They were very transparent, and explained to me the issues my car was having in a way that made sense. They were very easy to correspond with, picked up the phone every time I called, and answered every question with ease. I will definitely be using Heritage Auto Repair for as long as I'm living in this area.
Outstanding customer service and attention to detail. Their web interface (see picture) was updated often with transparent details about the tests they were performing, results, and recommendations. Their recommendations were reasonable and based on impressive technical knowledge. I never felt like they were trying to sell unnecessary services. I really felt like they had my family's best interests at heart and was thoroughly impressed with the whole process.
Update: I've now been a customer for a couple years with two vehicles and the experience is always outstanding. The customer service continues to be the best and the quality of their work is top notch.
Such an incredible team!!! They’ve taken amazing care of my Jeep and all her issues! It’s very hard to find places that dont take advantage of your car situation. They have continuously provided advice and helped me get my jeep back up and running in the most cost friendly way they could.
I was traveling across the country to deliver a wheelchair accessible van to another veteran. I still had 2000 miles to go. Heritage really came through for me. They were able to get me up and running and to my destination. This wasn't just a vehicle. This is a piece of freedom returned to someone. They did it at a reasonable price and quickly. I can’t say enough good things about Heritage Automotive! I went in for their Veterans Day promotion offering free oil changes for us vets, and they truly went above and beyond. Not only did they provide top-notch service, but they also had food and refreshments for us while we waited, making the experience feel extra special and welcoming.
The staff were friendly, respectful, and didn’t just rush me in and out. They took the time to make sure my Nissan was in great shape and even checked a few additional basics. The the whole process was smooth and hassle-free.

Robert Head communicated with us very well in what needed to be done with both of my vehicles. He took his time answering all questions and went over what absolutely needed to be done, what was concerning, and what looked good. New tires and full inspection on both, also fluid exchanges and preventative maintenance on my truck. The shop was fair in their pricing. We have peace of mind driving across the country now and can’t thank them enough!

Took my Sienna there last week - the engine sounded like a blender full of loose change. No joke, I was thankful to be able to drive it in.
It was $75 to get it diagnosed and I had a full picture of what the car needed right now as well what needs attention in the next few years. Even caught a couple other issues I wasn’t thinking about. They explained things well and seemed unhurried on the phone, which I appreciated. The whole thing way less stressful than I expected.
Best part? They had all the parts on hand. They got to work got it done when they said it would be done.
The engine sounds calmer now. Night and day difference. Price was fair for the work they did. I mean, it's never fun dropping cash on car repairs, but at least I felt like I got my money's worth.

I was grappling with some very difficult trouble codes on my Jeep Wrangler for over 2 weeks. Other mechanics could not diagnose what was wrong and kept trying to send me to the dealer. A tow truck driver at black diamond tow recommended this shop to me. From the moment I scheduled an appointment to when I paid the bill, I knew exactly what I was getting. They were up front and transparent with everything they were doing. I paid exactly what was given to me as an estimate of work. They answered every single one of my calls (again unlike other shops) and always answered my questions, or personally asked went and asked the tech right then before getting off the phone with me. They have a shuttle to take you to and from your house, and I was driven by the owners daughter. She was just a joy to talk to and is a very knowledgeable mechanic willing to answer questions about mechanical issues on the drive. Although I opted to not have everything they recommended done to my vehicle (but will likely go back soon to do so), I feel substantially safer driving my jeep after having gone through their thorough diagnostic inspection for a very reasonable price. I will not go to any other mechanic from here on out and I will enthusiastically recommend them 100% of the time that I am asked about a honest shop to take your vehicle to. This is the best shop in Meridian (and I’ve been to many…I own a Jeep after all).
I experienced amazing service from Heritage Auto, a family-owned and operated business. After Boise BMW was unable to resolve my BMW's A/C issue and quoted me over $3000 for a potential replacement, Heritage Auto successfully identified and fixed the leak for under $400.
