Fantastic mechanic. Knowledgeable, skilled, conscientious, practical, fair and honest. All the qualities one searches for with car repairs. We just went through a complex radio module issue, and the analytic approach, removal/replacement, programming were expertly done. I’ve seen the same with bread and butter brake jobs, sensor repairs, Batteries, and other things. The office person is a pleasure, always on top of things. Highly recommended.

I had an issue with my clutch that Alex was able to diagnose quite quickly. I left my car and he was able to fix the clutch, as well as a squeaky belt and the AC. Overall quick, efficient, and reasonably priced, I would highly recommend!
My Check engine light was on and he told me what the problem was in about 5 minutes. Fixed it the day after in no time. Quick and easy fix for a very reasonable price!
Alex diagnosed and fixed my AC issue in my 2001 Truck. He worked with all the right tools to recapture the old refrigerant and weigh it and was able to accurately put back into the system what I needed. No fuss, no mess. He did not object to letting me watch him work and when he was done he presented me the bill. It was the price of what the other mechanics in Lahaina would charge just to tell me I had a problem. I will definitely use him again.

I have an Audi A6 3.2 quattro and my Ac was not working , a lot of mechanics didn't want even to look at it because is a complicated car . I have been to west maui auto repair and after one hour they told me the compressor is dead and it will cost me 2000$ the repair . After I met through a friend, Alex the owner and mechanic of Lahaina Auto Repair , after half of hour he told me I lose pressure through a sensor and the cost of repair is 350$ . He order the sensor and I came back after 3 days , in two hours my car was done and AC was blowing cold .He even solved my airbag light and tire pressure light . Any problem that I have with my car or motorcycle from now one , I will go directly to him . He is onest , reliable and the best mechanic I ever talked to.
