Awful dispatch lady. Just awful customer service. Made me wait almost three hours. When I asked for an update and explained that it’s been a huge delay almost an hour past their ETA, they just tried to cancel the request.
Feels Counterintuitive sometimes giving a towing company 5 stars, but my new brudda Willie deserves 6. Fast, professional, friendly, very skilled, I couldn’t believe he was able to get my 4Runner hooked up, let alone rapidly hooked up. It was a masterclass on physics! I realize now illegal parking spots I thought were safe aren’t thanks to this guy. This time around though I was stranded, had 2 shrieking kids and a wife with low blood sugar, so honestly my brudda Willy’s new name for the holidays is Jolly Saint Willy! Love this guy! I’ll use this company again when I’m stranded and think thrice before I park illegally knowing that my boy is out there capable of towing anything in seconds anywhere!!!
Willie is incredible...my car was in a 6'6 clearance garage almost right up against a column with the row ending in a dead end and he skillfully attached the hauling system, picked up the Subaru, and maneuvered it out of the garage like it was nothing. He was quick, efficient, and has a good sense of humor making a stressful situation for me much lighter. He also arrived over an hour ahead of schedule...that's phenomenal service. The intake staff I spoke with were polite and professional, as well. I would recommend Honolulu Towing Inc. 100 percent and Willie 1000 percent.
Willie arrived on time and was incredibly polite and professional. I greatly appreciated his insight about the process. Just wrapped up with them. Assigned by Geico. Super fast and efficient (about a 30 minute turnaround time when they quoted me 90). Didn’t get to chat with the driver too much but he was nice as well. Normally I have awful anxiety about car-related troubles but they made the experience easy. Thanks again!
Bad experience with office staff, not driver. Extremely rude office staff. Car needed a tow. Geico assigned them. Waited 2 hours on side of road and they didn't show. Finally got in touch with them and the lady in charge of the call/dispatching said... "we haven't decided if we are taking the job...need some photos first". And then said that it will be another 45 minutes or more. When we expressed frustration for the lack of communication over this earlier...she said..."hey if you don't like our service then I will just cancel you right now and you can find someone else". I literally broke down into tears from frustration and was begging her to not cancel. She said "why are you tripping?" and hung up on me while I was still talking. They did eventually show up after 3 hours of waiting on the side of the road. The driver was GREAT (Willie?). He was friendly, respectful, empathetic and worked quickly.
Got locked out of my car by my dog after I finished work at 3am. Car was on I was having a smoke with my wife. Then my dogs big head hit the all lock button on the passenger side. I called everywhere and they wanted payment up front seemed sketchy. These guys was fast dependable and super solid. Took my guy about 15 mins to get to me on the Ala wai took him about 20 mins to unlock my car all that done in under an hour at 3 in the damn morning. My guy is a professional. Give them a call and they will help you out big time! Definitely gonna be calling these guys from now on!!!! Thanks ah my bro god bless you you blessed me this morning chee!
Called for a tow for a perfectly fine working car to be towed due to expired insurance and I declined services (given it was the first place I called). When I declined, no response, just a hang up.
When I called back to voice my concerns about the rudeness, this woman made comments such as “sorry you can’t afford that,” and “I’m sorry you feel that way,” “I wasted all this time typing everything up.” Incredibly unprofessional and had she not acted that way, I likely would’ve called back to agree to the quote.
Driver towed our truck with parking decal, Office worker was helpful in information, but the driver was rude, didn’t check properly for decal, didn’t apologize for his wrong doing, and just dropped our truck in middle of parking lot and left.
Okay let me explain in full detail, so this will be a long one. My Tacoma truck push start went bad and I couldn’t start it. The truck was park on the 10 th floor ! I call a couple other towing companies to see if they can come and tow it, and they couldn’t do it , and they said if they were to do it they will charge $100 per floor !!! That’s $1000 just to get it out of the parking structure not including the tow it self. Well as I prayed about it to find someone that can tow it ,I contacted HONOLULU TOWING , and talk to the dispatcher ( who was very friendly) She quoted me 180 for the tow, and I ask if they show up and can’t tow it do I get charge , they said no . I was like okay let’s do it. The driver Willy showed up right on time and was very polite and surveyed the parking garage and measure to make sure it can be done. I really appreciate he took the time to make sure it can be done , and once we agreed it can be it was on! Willy took the time and hook the truck up and was very careful with my truck making sure nothing would scrape . He took his time and was a expert on when to lower it so it won’t hit the ceiling because of the height. Once we got it out of the garage he took it to the mechanics. I never thought I was gonna be able to find someone to tow it out and thought I might have to push it down. Well I am very thankful to Honolulu Towing for their service and recommend them for all your towing needs
This is The worst towing company by far .. I’ve been stranded waiting on the side of the road with my family in the car for over 3 hours . The customer service dispatcher was rude and unprofessional , playing stupid on the phone acting immature and careless about our situation. Would never recommend this company to anyone.
I was stuck by the median on Nimitz with a flat tire. People weren't paying attention, nearly hitting my car so I stayed inside to stay safe. Couldn't get a company to come and help move me except Honolulu towing. He was able to tow me somewhere safe so I could change the tire and even offered to do it for me. He turned to bad day into a much better one. Thank you.
This company is straight garbage. I wouldn’t even give them a star but I have to in ordered to give a rating. Customer service or operator very rude and hung up on us multiple times. They were hired by my insurance company but never will use them again. They called me and claimed they never called me. You would think they would want the busy. Personally I think they are just lazy, rude, and worthless. Get out of the business if you don’t want to work. They need to work on their customer service. Then they made some excuse that they did not have one available until the night shift. Funny thing is their sight says 24hours. In my opinion I would not waste my time find another company. Osung towing was used and were very courteous and professional. .
I had to get my car towed after my tired had blew out and Willy took care. Went through the motions proper and made sure every was safe and my vehicle was taken care of. Give Willy a raise!
They were assigned to me by my roadside assistance through Geico insurance company!! Fastest service I’ve ever got using any roadside assistance service! I wish I got the drivers name so I could tell him again, thank you for the quick and friendly service!!
My car wouldn’t start after work. Honolulu Towing got there fast and took my car all the way from the Ward area to Waipio. The driver had such a nice attitude even in horrible H1 traffic. He made a difficult situation a lot easier with excellent customer service.Mahalo!
I called them twice to tow my truck and was very happy with their service. Rates are reasonable, the drivers were friendly and arrived quickly to help tow my vehicle. Great service, highly recommended.
Horrible. Called about why they towed my car & had some guy laughing in the background. Moanalua hillside apartments hire these people to come search for cars to tow which is whatever, it’s their job. But I had my car in the loading zone literally right below my apartment. Had it there to carry groceries in & take my brand new TV out of the box. Took a total of 15 mins. By the time I went back downstairs, my car was gone. I called the number on the sign near my house & somehow they got it to Kalihi in less than 10 mins. Honestly they need to check to see where they’re towing because I’ve also had my car towed from my own parking stall in the past & showed proof of it. They have horrible customer service & no compassion . $140 out of my pocket because they’re lazy & desperate for money!
Isaiah really helped me very understanding and helpful. I was suprised personaly will definitely use this company again. So i ised this company again because car wouldnt start again, and a different tow truck driver came he was rude!!!! Very Rude and unfriendly. Hmmm, so that means it just depends on the driver the service will be different. Should be the same!!!!!!
My truck broke down at Manoa Marketplace (would not start, but not a battery problem), so I called Geico Roadside Service to get my car towed. Geico called Honolulu Towing Inc. at 10:00 p.m. and they arrived before 10:30 p.m. Fast service, really nice guy, would definitely recommend.
I needed my 99 Jaguar simply towed to a shop for repairs. I was out of state working. It literally only got towed a few miles and the driver charged my card $476.00 !!! I call the dispatcher and she simply says well he should have told you how much it was going to be before towing it....ya think? Ive tried contacting the driver and of course no response to my texts or calls. It should not have been any more than 200 for the tow. They took advantage of my situation and charged me an exorbitant amount just because they could and have been rude and unresponsive after the fact.
While sitting in my home with a friend over, they towed his car. He was going out to the car when I heard them driving away with the vehicle. I called the company after having to call my parking managers. When the employee picked up the phone there was no greeting and he was very rude when I was trying to get the information on if they had taken the car and where to go to get the car back. Even though it had only been 15 minutes, there was a $137.50 fee where they only take cash. They do have an ATM located in the building with a $4 fee. The employee that was running the service counter needs to learn how to not be rude when they are the ones serving the inconvenience to people, it should be the other way around honestly.
They almost made it an enjoyable experience getting my car towed! The employees were very polite, and even gave me advice on where to get work done on my vehicle. All in all, they were genuinely pleasant to deal with.
I am not sure if my first review was submitted but it is worth doing another review. This company really helped me when my car broke down after hours. They stored my car overnight and took it to a repair shop the next morning. I don't see too many companies going over and beyond like this too often. Long but necessary post!!!! I don't even want to give 1 star, that's how unprofessional the employees were. My registration and insurance is legit but safety check is expired. I've already been to a few places to fix the problem but the price is ridiculous. I recently moved and have been financially in a rut trying to come up with the extra money to fix it. Anyway, my car ends up getting towed for the safety check. So it took me two days to take out loans and when I got to the front window a girl asked me where my car was towed from. I literally just moved and still need to remember the address so I said, "Kapolei, my cars right there, I don't know the address but it's that car". They could see the car from their window but was focused more on the address. Another employee, a guy probably in his mid 20's starts asking for the address as if I didn't understand the first person who asked. I told him the same thing that, I just moved and don't know it by heart but he insisted that they needed it. They didn't ask for my ID or want it and started getting loud about the address. It was frustrating!!!! The street name ended up coming to me and we started to move the process forward. After that, he then started to scold me about not having a safety check and that it's illegal. He asked questions about why the safety was expired, so I went on to tell him about my situation. It didn't feel right explaining to him because it didn't matter but I was ready to pay and he appeared to make small talk! I ended up feeling like I was defending myself and we completely started arguing about the safety check like it was such a big problem. I finally told him to stop and hurry up so I can get my car and leave. He goes "so are you going to pay or not" and then he had the nerve to belittle my situation and mock my circumstance by saying, "well it's just a horn, it cost more to pay for towing, I don't see why you couldn't take care of that". On top of all that, my car was barely there for 48 hours and they charged me for 3 days. I didn't agree and he treated me like I was illiterate and counted hours back to me smh. I counted out the cash and as I hand him the money he snatches it out of my hand! I was absolutely livid at this point and corrected his behavior. This guy was rude, disrespectful, judgmental and unprofessional. He had the audacity to gather my personal information and then use it against me to make my situation feel even more worse. Not only that, but after my payment was made, I had to wait for another person to come before I could get my car. Another woman came out to help because at that point I was complaining, she denied giving me his name and hers as well. She literally justified why it was okay for her employee to invoke frustration on me the way he did. She then appeared to threaten me to fix my safety check or they will come back and take it again. Talk about PTSD!!! This company appears to thrive on belittling people, especially if you're already down. I felt horrible leaving and even more horrible about how upset the employee was able to get me. This company is not accredited by the BBB and by the reading of other comments, it's apparent that being rude is a guarantee for this place. I feel sorry for their next victims and I hope they take all these bad reviews and make the proper changes. I personally wouldn't use them and I've already made a complaint to my tenants about the terrible customer service!
Geico called them to tow my truck to the dealer. They got it hooked up and to the dealer quickly with no damage. Only reason it isn't 5 stars is because I didn't hear from the driver until the very end of the time window and didn't arrive until 20 minutes past the window
I take full responsibility that it was my fault I forgot to put my sticker decal on my vehicle for my apartment complex parking stall. The lady/ladies in the office were not rude at all but strictly business. After explaining my situation about not being the registered owner and that the owner was off island she kindly explained to me that there are ways to work around it to get the vehicle out. Long story short, she was very professional and not at all rude. My vehicle had no dings or damages and my tires are fine. It was my fault for not having my decal on. I'm glad it was this company that towed my car and not another.
They towed my car away after it had only been parked at teddy's burgers for twenty minutes.The only thing these employees care about is taking your money and being extremely rude to you. The lady who i had to pay $160 to said i had an attitude problem just cause i sat in my car for under 30 seconds looking at my gps to figure out how to get home. RUDE RUDE RUDE employee's who don't give a crap about your car. If they end up towing your car, good luck. The underneath of your car is probably all damaged because mine was.
Ladies in office arent very nice. Especially the old lady. Wanted to pay for the cost of the tow because I felt I was responsible for having the car towed but the old lady refused my money. She told me that the owner had to pay for it. I pleaded with her twice to pay n and both times she refused to take my cash. Uncaring, rude, and bottom line no Aloha from this company.
