I had a very limited amount to spend on a car. I was introduced to the owner as a reputable person. I bought a car from him. He said he had fixed it and the insurance company hadn’t paid him. So the car should have been fine. I had it less than a week and it ran hot and left me stranded in the middle of a 4 way intersection. My husband came to help me. Water was pouring out of the back of the engine area where a water hose had come loose. We replaced the part and it continued to run hot. We replaced the thermostat and it would start to run hot if you went over 60 miles an hour. I wanted to go out of town so we took it to Christian Brothers in Evans to try and figure out why it was still having problems. They said that the radiator cap had been damaged and was not sealing properly. So they changed it out and ran a pressure test and they said once pressurized water started gushing out the head gasket. I bought this car at the first part of September 2025. It has left me stranded twice. Now just 2 months into owning this car he was supposed to have fixed, we find out that it has a bad head gasket! Not only that but the motor mounts were bad too. Obviously, a tow man is no mechanic. Let him tow your car but otherwise do not buy a car from him! I will have to see what the lemon laws are for the state of Georgia to try and get my money back.

Just a bad experience with customer service. Inquired about getting my wrecked vehicle towed there while it’s in claims process and was told my situation “doesn’t sound right”. I have commercial insurance which takes longer than regular insurance. The rep was just rude overall

They took my car from in front of my apartment. Then tried to say it was in the back and they can't get it out on the weekend but I'd have to pay for the extra days. They also tried to charge double! What the company NEXT DOOR charges. I had the company next door being my car back.
I broke down at the plasma center and tag office on peach orchard road today And I called Chastain towing they was amazing on time and help me get it home I recommend them best towing company ever
I wont name drag but another company quoted to get me in 1.5 hours. Cool deal. I wait and get stringged along for over 3 hours and still couldnt get a ETA.
I call up Chastain's and they had a truck out to me in 20 and the driver was cool. If im in need of tow service's, I know who to call.
Their tow truck drivers do 50 or more in a neighborhood where the speed limit is posted at 25 mph and when someone tells them to slow down they flip u off. There are kids playing in this neighborhood.
I was traveling from out of state on a holiday weekend when I struck from behind by another car and pushed into the car in front of me. Despite the holiday and late hour, the tow driver carefully took my car to the the tow lot and waited until I could get there to get my things. He helped my get my things as well. After getting home, I realized I left a few items, Annalise with Chastain's went out of her way to ship those items to me. In a stressful situation out of state, their kindness and helpfulness meant so much. I truly appreciate them!

Very fast response. Professionally handled difficult tow that other carriers would have messed up on. My vehicle is lowered and they were able to load and unload without a scratch. Chastain's towing is the only company in the Augusta, GA area that will touch any of my vehicles for now on.
