This was the most unsatisfying tow experience I’ve ever had . Causing finacial impact and lost time . On Saturday, 02/07/26, Chancey Tow Service arrived during my traffic violation, and after finally retrieving my car on 02/09/26, I encountered several issues. The tow truck driver provided vague details about the towing process, including costs and the company's limited hours, leading to confusion. When I called for clarification, the representative was unhelpful and failed to mention that the first 24 hours of storage were free and i didnt need to wait 1 day to retrieve my car back. Additionally, I received conflicting information from different representatives regarding charges and procedures. The manager, Marci, discussed important information in a condescending tone, implying I should have known to inquire about these procedures . Compounding my frustration, a representative requested a vague yellow document that didn’t exist. Finally, after retrieving my car, it displayed a “no key” message, and Marci’s curt response about the key's location, as well as her comment about a bullet hole, made me uncomfortable.

I want to do a shout out to one of the drivers "Timothy" Thank You for all you've done. You was extremely a blessing in disguise. Thank you for working in the extreme cold and doing such an amazing job. I really appreciate everything you have done and said. I've never had no problem with Chansey's they always have good customer service. If you ever come across Timothy he is such an amazing gentleman. Thank you again Timothy I really appreciate you.

Took 5 hours to get my car towed, I should've have found somebody else when the dispatcher kept putting me on hold and hanging up the phone on me, but I went ahead and booked my tow, I then proceeded to call to get an update she kept lying & laughing.... so disrespectful, then had the nerve to call me 11:00 at night too wake me up to tell me they towed my car after I told them not to call me if it was going to be late night, never ever again!

worst experience ever. There isn’t enough space to explain how bad they screw people. Just know they are deceptive and the office ladies that take your call will lie to you and they are also extremely rude.

Same as all other 1 star reviews. Poor respond time and poor communication. I put in the ticket at 10 am they never showed up and called my insurance that they picked up the vehicle. When you call they state the driver will be there shortly. I explained the repair shop your taking it. She said we will be there shortly. Did not happen. The only explanation I got was there were a lot of accidents today. So I guess my tow got bumped for others.

The wait time for this company is unacceptable!! 3 hours on a week day and their web site shows that is not a busy time of day for them!! Thanks google for the reviews, wish I would have seen earlier! Believe the reviews people!!

I had a very disappointing experience with Chauncey’s Towing Company. When I walked in, there were four employees including what I assume was a clerk who saw me but chose not to acknowledge my presence for at least 10 minutes. Instead, they sat scrolling on their phones and laughing with each other. Eventually, a clerk named Karen came to the counter. There was no greeting, just a blunt “what do you need?” I explained I was there to pick up my car after it had been towed by a vendor. The instructions by the vendor clearly stated that I needed to show proof of cleared citations , which I did. Even after providing this proof, I was charged an additional $228. When I asked what the charge was for or how it was calculated, I was told very rudely — “it’s a flat rate,!” The lack of professionalism, courtesy, and basic customer service was shocking. Not only did I feel unwelcome, but I also received no clear explanation for why I was being charged when the towing was initiated by the vendor. The rate is insane when the distance what very short and not overnight. Overall, a terrible experience and I would not recommend this company to anyone.

If I could give them a zero star I would. Horrible customer service. They say they would be to me by a certain time and showed up 3 hours after the time they said. Would never use again!!!!

Just imagine, it's a holiday weekend, you're already overwhelmed, and your truck breaks down! Dennis Clark with Chauncys showed up and got my beloved truck home safe, super fast. Thanks for saving my holiday, Dennis!

I was in a huge jam and these guys saved the day for me. They showed up quickly and had the knowledge and equipment to make what could have been a disastrous situation into a manageable one . Very professional and at a very fair price .

Chancey’s is a great wrecker service. However, this driver was tailgating me on Bobby Jones while I was riding at 61 mph in a 55 mph speed zone on Bobby Jones with a car on tow. He then blew his air horn at me, went around me and then wouldn’t you know it, got stuck at the same traffic light as I did. The boss might want to know about this one. Thanks.

Amazing service! My daughter was stranded in the rain after waiting almost two hours and calling two other places for a lockout service. Chancey's got there in less than a half hour and had her on her way in five minutes. The price was more than fair. Don't call anyone else. Have used them several times over the years and never have any complaints. Recommend

I needed to access my granddaughter's car after an accident and retrieve some personal items. Ms Kayt*** was very kind and helpful. When I arrived at the yard, Kevin was there unloading a vehicle, but was very friendly and helpful in confirming my permission for access, as he offered his condolences and well wishes for my injured family members. This was a welcome and pleasant experience.

Fast friendly professional service, ..needed tow had tire blow out, driver offered great options on me getting it repaired since it was late Saturday night, day before a Holiday..(single mom & that was my only transportation) I could tell he liked his job & took pride in it, very professional. Pleasant conversation, really nice guy! Came in a new roll back, nothing junky or outdated.. I wouldn’t use anyone else..good company, great staff

They were fast with responding, very very nice polite very understanding. The cost was just right and they didn't beat my head in. The tow truck driver was so so very nice, polite and understanding and was very careful with our truck and he even backed the truck in the yard for me. I will never forget Chanceys or there drivers. The best.

Chauncy's was dispatched to tow my vehicle, they changed the ETA twice each being extended by 60 minutes. When I called again I found out they NEVER dispatched the call at all. So unprofessional, it was unbelievable. Would not recommend them at all.

Once again Chauncey’s have proven themselves to be the best in customer services. This is the second time they’ve rescued me this year and the service was excellent. Not only did the operator perform most professionally, he also calmed the angst that I was experiencing through his conversations with me. CHAUNCEY’S IS THE BEST!

This towing company provides absolutely unacceptable service. I contacted them through my insurance at 7:50 AM for a flat tire, and I was assured a technician would arrive within an hour. It is now 11:30 AM, and despite calling every hour for an update, I’ve been repeatedly told it would be “another hour.” This pattern of false promises and delays is completely unacceptable. Had they been honest about the actual wait time, I could have made alternate arrangements instead of wasting half a day stranded in my vehicle. If you need timely and reliable assistance, do yourself a favor and look elsewhere—this company is completely untrustworthy.

As a local business owner myself of 1man1vanlogistics. I highly recommend Chanceys wrecker svc. if you're ever in an accident. I total lost my work van last Monday night. In the past, I've had bad experiences with many of these other wrecker svcs here in Augusta. But at Chanceys my vehicle was locked in a secure site until I was able to recoup every single piece of my work equipment that was in my UNLOCKED van. It's says alot about the integrity and professionalism of this business. Thank you for serving this community!!!!! Chanceys was the first name to come to mind when the officer asked who do I want for the tow as I was on my way to the hospital.

If I could give less than one star, I would. This company has absolutely no professionalism when it comes to communication, with their clients OR their fellow employees. I have used them 3 times now, and the only nice thing I have to say about them is their drivers are very kind. Unfortunately the main office that takes care of most of their communication is atrocious. We have been overcharged for towing fees, had to call to get the issue fixed, and still was given attitude by Ashley, who is usually who answers the main phone. We also called to schedule to pick up our belongings out of a vehicle at their salvage yard and we asked to come at 2:30. We were told we couldn’t have someone meet us until 3:00, and then when we showed up on time (5 mins early to be exact), no one showed. I had to call to find out what was going on, and then was told by Ashley that low and behold they weren’t going be able to get anyone out to us until at least 3:30. There was no attempt to call us and let us know that the time had changed. There were also several other small issues each time we used this company. Again, the drivers are great, but don’t expect the main office to give a single crap about you or basic customer service in general.

The lady taking calls as well as the driver were so nice! Made us feel so well taken care of. Got to us so fast and was able to move our bus with ease. Driver knew exactly what he was doing. Lady taking calls was like a small town friend - just so nice.

I actually went to pick up my car thinking that it was still drivable and it wasn't and it was very nice of Miss Karen to take it off my hands I just have to sign the title over to them

At residence to get keys out of car dispatcher told me to come back Monday when I informed him it was my house key he said its nothing he can do stated I would call authorities told me who would contact a driver but I would have to wait 20-25 minutes but since I have an attitude he would not assist me. Just got out of accident on meds just needed keys.

My daughter and I was in an accident today about 6:30pm this evening and a tow was called for both cars and Chauncey’s came out and Kris sat with us for over 4 hours while we had to wait for EMS to arrive which was @11:45 pm and he was very sweet, patient and understanding!

I had a 67000 pound boom lift stuck in my front yard in mud. they came out same day with their giant winch and pulled me right out. They were awesome every step of the way, I was severely stressed, but the operator was very confident and he was awesome! Chancey’s will always be my go to for life.

Although my towing time was slightly delayed, the dispatcher was pleasant to work with and kept me up to date on the driver's location and estimated time of service. The driver was very respectful to me and my vehicle and provided excellent customer service. I am really impressed with how smooth the process was.

Fantastic service, I had called three other companies to move a truck I purchased and for one reason or another those people never showed. I call chancey's in the morning and we had my truck in my yard that afternoon. Could not ask for better service
