They towed my semi when I had permission to park there and then refused to let me in to get my truck. They also are charging me $1000. Absolutely ridiculous. It’s Christmas time and I hope you jerks are happy about stealing my money right at the holidays.

I always use Underwood Towing for any breakdown issues that I may encounter. They always get the job done for me.

Hello, I haven't to unfortunately write a review of my experience with Underwood Towing. My wife and I were transporting out RV from Orlando FL when the power seemed to die out. We requested a tow from Underwood towing 08/16/2025 from One9 Vienna GA to Ray-Lee Truck Repair (AWESOME PLACE BY THE WAY ASK FOR DEBORAH⭐?) Byron GA which is approximately 40-45 miles away. The owners wife charged us $1,150 as a past wrecker ... this woman upcharged nearly $500, and even though it's a weekend... no way was this price usual. Furthermore, the driver was fairly nice and helped point us toward Ray-Lee Truck Repair? the woman did ask for cash only transaction to pay to the driver. As none residents of GA... we did not know the low volume of Chase Branches. In the midst, of collecting the funds from Truist bank .08 miles from the Drop location. I asked the woman if we could use card by any chance due to NO CHASE BANKS unexpectedly. She said it would be a 5% uncharged using VISA... NOW IVE HEARD OF A VISA SURCHARGE BUT 5%???? I challenged the percentage. After the question she became abhorrent, and irrational then told the driver to take the RV to their yard holding Ray-Lee's mechanics from diagnosing the issue knowing their shop closed on Mondays because of weekend availability. My Wife's mother is on life support awaiting a possible phone call from her siblings confirming their mother's survival or death. This woman was informed of all this prior to the booking and during the repugaltive conversation. She told us during our most stress moment.... Underwood Towing will charge $150 for storage and $450 from hook and re-hook. A mechanic at Ray-Lee's said "the driver came to the shop for 5 mins and took off... never attempted to drop the RV." That contradicts what this woman was telling us over the phone. At the end of the day, I'm not the person to 1 star companies or down talk too many places but, this is by far the worst experience As mentioned before, I was a prior wrecker, and we did cash deals as well...

If you are looking to use them do urself a favor and don’t!!! Scammers! The wife is very rude! So my Rv started went out on a Sunday as I was traveling to nyc from Florida bc my mother was on life support. I called them they happened to be the only ppl who answered and came out cool. Not! They charged me $1,150 to go 45 miles, still no big fuss price is way to high however I’ll pay it. It’s an emergency! Now we get to the tow yard they want cash we called to see if they can run the card however she said she would charge my card another $57. I said to my husband no way the atm would be way cheaper and by law they can only charge a certain percent. She heard what I said and didn’t like it and as we are pulling the money out of the atm for us $9 we called and asked if the tow guy was gonna replace the axle because he removed it. She than proceeds to say they towed our rv tow their storage yard and it’s an extra $150 for storage for the day and $450 for a rehook now bring the total to almost $1800. As we spoke to the shop it was told it never was unhooked and they tried to say we wasn’t paying and that was by far a lie. So save urself the headache and jus call someone else. Mind u my mom is dying and I let her know the situation and she didn’t care God has to help his ppl bc the amount of hatred in the world is overwhelming! Ppl will lie and scam for money it’s sad! God will make it rt!!!

The person attending the phone is friendly enough but the owner and the prices are to the extreme and yes they will keep your vehicle. May the courtesy and blessings you show others be doubled and tripled to you.

Robert towed our daughter's car after she said off the road during the snow storm on Jan. 22. Having to come from Athens to assist on Saturday, Robert met us on site to get the vehicle. Car had flat tire, broken battery clamp and a few other issues. He stayed and helped with all the repairs! Even hooked us up with a new tire. Thank you!

From the phone call to the pick up, the customer service was great, very patient, the arrival time was fast .This company will be the one I recommend to call, if you ever need the services. Great job, keep up the good work!!!

This is a great company. Their customer service and phone skills are exceptional. The drivers are very nice and qualified to do what they’re doing. I would highly recommend them

Who ever the guy is that pull up to McDonald's at about 2:45 to 2:50 today here in Byron ga driving the tow truck can't drive at all he basically come flying in a blocked us in a little bit then backed up fairly close to our truck and try to parallel knowing he can't fit and come within inches of hitting the vehicle in front of him and they started move out of the way cause he almost hit them he speed up on they ass you wouldn't have been able to Walk between them and he had plenty of space to park elsewhere it was like he was trying to push the other car out of the way do better or find a none driving job and stop holding your phone while driving

I contacted insurance regarding a tow for my vehicle that had engine issues. I was told that i would be taken care of by Underwoods Towing Inc. Took almost 2 hours too arrive. Eventually they made it out to my location and proceeded to attempt to tow my car. They heavily damaged the front end of my vehicle, and then decided to say, "We will not cover that due to the location of your vehicle". I was just barely off of the road trying to stay out of way from traffic. I then told them multiple times over, to abandon tow and I will call a different tow company. They Eventually did abandon tow after persistent confrontation, then sped off afterwards. This incident occured on US North 75 Georgia. My experience with this company was extremely unprofessional and quite traumatizing. I definitely do not recommend this company.

Great company! Great service! Reasonable pricing as well! We are new to town and our car broke down tonight, at 8pm at night. We didn't know what to do but we called and a man named Robert came out and towed it home for us and even stayed an extra few minutes to help us figure out the issue with our car!! I've never met someone so kindhearted and honest in my life. Highly recommend this company! Thank you so much.

We had a great experience. From the dispatcher to the tow truck driver was nothing short of a great experience. The price we received for the tow was also very fair. I will definitely used this company in the future!

Do not hesitate to call them! Waited 5 hours for AAA to tell us they couldn’t help…Underwood’s was there in 30min! Courteous and helpful! Cancelling AAA and only using Underwood’s from now on!

I called and they not only came from Gray to get my motorcycle but also was very respectful and very reasonable with the price once delivered the driver even gave me even further information and help

The dispatcher and tow truck driver were friendly and professional. They both did an excellent job setting expectations of arrival ETA. The tow hook up and drop-off were quick and easy. The service charge was the cheapest in town.

I had originally called my roadside assistance and set up service through USAA. 2 hours later I still didn't have service. Decided to call Underwoods and skip roadside. Truck was onsite within 15 minutes. Driver called me as soon as he received the request, was so nice and friendly. Verified all my info, dispatch took my payment over the phone. Couldn't believe how easy they made it, should have started with them from the start!

Once again I had an amazing experience with Underwoods Towing. They always go above and beyond for their customers. I wouldn't use another tow company in the area. They have always taken good care of me and any vehicles of mine I've had them tow. A+ Service each and every time. RIP Jeff Underwood

They saved the day for my boyfriend and I. We were on our way home from the Savannah airport, when our car broke down half way. We needed a tow to Lawrenceville, Ga - over 100 miles & 2 hours away… at 9pm. After AAA couldn’t find us a tow truck after 2 hrs, and the first 2 private companies turned us down, these guys accepted immediately, no hesitation. They were punctual, had great communication, and pleasant about the long drive. We appreciated this so much!!!! We were almost hopeless and thought we weren’t going to be able to get our car home until the next day, which was not ideal. Highly recommend, an incredible company with a strong work ethic, and great customer service.

My Dodge had a mechanical failure about fifteen miles from home. My husband and I were essentially stranded, and we decided to get the car towed. Within 15 min the driver arrived. He was pleasant, professional and my vehicle arrived safely to it's destination. Thank you for being prompt, affordable and kind.

I had my Cadillac towed to the shop as backing up the wheel dollies broke and damage the left lower bumper. I was told to get an estimate and I did but the vehicle was in the shop. I just got it out and I called and the lady was so rude she telling me that they not gonna pay the damage cause it was already there. It was not cause witnessed and pictures showing what damage it made. The lady was ruded and hung the phone up in my face after I ask her to tell me her name. She not a people person at all. Attitude is bad dealing with customer after I was told they gonna fixed the truck but it is her that causing the problem. Never again I will use them again

My insurance company set up a towing service with Underwood.. I waited and called .. they said he is pulling up now .. still nothing called again and they gave me a location of the driver .. my insurance notified me the service had been complete but still at this point no one came . I called underwood to find out they cancelled the service “ due to no one answering the phone” but I didn’t receive any call and they had the right phone number . I hope my insurance company get there money back . And looking at the reviews this seems to be a consistent issue . It’s disappointing especially when you are In need of help and are polite … never again.

My sister was recently locked out of her vehicle in Warner Robins. After calling our insurance company about the lock-out, they send Underwoods for the service call. The initial time given was an hour to and hour and a half. After two hours, they didn't show. So we called the company and asked what happened and when they'd be there. We were quoted another 30 minute wait time. The woman on the phone (Owners wife) would tell us a wreck happened and that the driver of the service call couldn't make it. Unfortunately we were not contacted about the inconvenience beforehand and understandable were upset. After asking why we weren't told about the wreck and asking how long it would take for the driver to get there, the woman repeated that she could cancel the service multiple times as if she was on a power trip. Now, I know this may just seem like an inconvenience but we expected to know when our driver was to be there and when the driver didn't make it; it would be professional to at least give us a notice especially because we pay for the service, but; being talked down to by the owners wife on the phone didn't help and constantly being told that she could cancel the call with one button didn't either. We we're upset and trying to figure the new time of arrival of the driver. I hope anyone that reads this will take our experience in consideration before using Underwood's service. If you do need a lock-out professional or some kind of road side assistance I'd highly recommend "Evan's towing services", "Make Adams towing", and "Roberts towing" which has a 5 star rating. Leave the unprofessionalism at home where it belongs.

USAA dispatched this company with a 45 minute ETA. They arrived in less than 20 minutes. In less than 10 minutes, the vehicle was loaded up and on it's way. Professional, polite and very appreciative of the business. I'll definitely use them again if tow services are required.

Hands down they are the best! Underwoods comes to my rescue more than I’d like to admit, but every time they are compassionate and professional. I’ve had a few different operators but each one has been wonderful. They will always have my business. Thank you so much guys!

My husband's employer contacted Underwood's for a tow when his work vehicle broke down. They contacted him almost immediately with texts and emails stating an estimated time. He waited and waited long past that time. He tried calling them and dispatch actually hung up and didn't let it go to voicemail. When he finally got ahold of a dispatcher, she told him his original tow had been cancelled and they'd put in a second request. (His company did not cancel the tow but did ask them to tow him to his workplace, which was much closer, instead of the tire shop because they took so long to get there that the tire shop was going to be closed!) He waited from about 3:30PM until after 7PM. The last time he called to ask for an ETA and make sure they were actually coming, the dispatcher suggested he cancel the tow and find someone else to tow him. He was not rude to her. By the time the driver, who was very nice, arrived, I could have picked up my husband's truck, gone and purchased or rented a trailer myself, gone back to where my husband was, helped him load up the van on the trailer, towed it to his workplace ourselves, and been home an hour earlier than he made it back. I actually had to go bring him dinner because he was waiting so long. This is the most unprofessional service, as far as the front end administration, that I have ever experienced with a tow company. We will never be using this company again.

I’ve been towed by Underwoods twice in the last month & I have to say they are amazing! I was nervous about the whole experience because I’ve never been towed before & I've heard horror stories about tow drivers. BUT both times the drivers were extremely nice/friendly & definitely didn’t make me feel uncomfortable in any way. They were on time & very professional! I highly recommend them!
