Imagine going to get you car worked on and instead when you get it back it looks like they literally took your car mud bogging. I don’t know what the deal is with this place but I’d recommend steering clear. My car was dirty as hell when I got it back along with having missing personal belongings. I don’t know if they just take peoples cars joy riding or what but I was NOT a fan.
Wish I could give zero stars. All the staff were rude especially the bald guy who literally bashes his coworkers. They tried to over charge and have just been all around awful. Very disappointing. A friend recommended me but clearly things have changed since they went.
Should have left this review sooner but I went there a couple months back to get them to check out my car and fix the problems it had, I told them exactly what was going on (was jolting and not switching gears) according to the mechanic they never told him to even look into it. My car was still driving fine prior to bringing it in. They charged me over 500$ and the prices weren’t adding up with what they did which was practically nothing but mess up my car, when I got it back my car was dirty inside and out and it wouldn’t crank half the time which was never a problem. The people I spoke to were very rude and condescending honestly not even sure how they stay open. Long story short I am now without working vehicle thank you for ruining my car and charging me wayyy too much all while having crappy attitudes? 10/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND no I don’t want someone to apologize and pretend like yall care just warning others
Just wanted to say how pleased i am with the customer service and the honest mechanics at Lamar tire, i took my vehicle to a dealership for a warranty claim for it over heating and was told two days later i needed a new engine, so i took their word and after two weeks of lies and them not touching my vehicle i decided to take it else where and dropped it off at Lamar tire and auto, within 2 hours i received a call stating the only problem was a coolant hose had slid back and they resolved the issue. Thanks for your complete honesty and not trying to get over on me and my warranty company. My family and i couldn't be happier thank you.
I was driving in the rain before the hurricane, and I ran over a large hook that someone dropped in the road. Pulled over in the Dollar General parking lot to change the tire, but it would not come off. My husband and son tried too, and it wouldn't budge. It was just after 5pm, and the rain was pouring down. I called Lamar Tire, told them what was happening, and one of the workers drove over to us, hit it with a big hammer a few times, and got it loose. Then he put the spare on for me and followed me back to his shop and immediately got to work. I was back home with a brand new tire before 6pm, and they didn't even charge extra for the assistance. I'd give more than 5 stars if I could.
It's ya boy HAW I took my van to Lamar tire for ball joints and front end alignment, rear shocks . Guy worked hard on it and did a great job , I was in and out faster than I thought. Y'all got it going on at Lamar tire.thanks ttyl peeps.
Very unprofessional. I sent my daughter there to have car worked on and employees were talking about her not knowing she was still there. All she could do was explain what it felt like to her. She’s not a mechanic nor am I which was the reason the car was took there. So to laugh about what she said car was doing first was wrong. Second the told us parts that were put on less then 7 days ago were old and questioning me like I did not see the new parts and made it seem like I was lying. Then again he said they could have mixed up cars. Well if u dnt know what car is which and what it needs how do u stay in business!?! I d not recommend this shop not only for females but if they can’t keep up on what each car needs it truly does not matter how “pretty my little girl” is she’s trying to have a safe car for her son. A waste of time and money on top of disrespectful.

And then to leave my car unlocked while it's in their parking lot when I pick it up. And say that they leave them lock unlocked all the time very unprofessional. I would not recommend. Plus over charge for repairs.
You probably won't find a cheaper place than here. But you don't get what you pay for. You get a lot more. They don't just change oil but also fill all your fluids and they don't charge a arm and leg for it.
They took me right away, assessed the need and found my tire didn’t actually need repair. Love their honesty!! Also checked the air pressure in the other tires and charged me NOTHING! Great place!
They are quick and friendly but the place is a mess! It's dirty, unorganized, and feels creepy. If I didn't go in with my husband before I went by myself, I would have passed it by and said no way!
Recently, one afternoon, my Jeep Grand Cherokee broke down while passing through Barnesville. I was directed by a passer-byer to Lamar Auto Repair garage for assistance. From the moment I arrived, members of the team provided the necessary help. They immediately diagnoised the issue and began making calls for the needed parts. Although they were unable to locate the special order parts in order to make the repair on the same day, they indicated my vehicle would be ready the following day. They made good on their word! The work was reasonably priced- even though it was expedited. As a woman traveling alone when this occurred, I was treated with great respect and was made to feel comfortable in the shop for over an hour while awaiting a family member to travel from Milledgeville to give me a ride home. I am thankful to Lamar Auto Center for their conscientious care and service. Thank you for helping a woman stranded in Barnesville!

I love this place. The people are very friendly and knowledgeable. They treat each and everyone of us like family. They also do great work. I go several times a week and I've never been disappointed. I recommend to everyone. If they don't have they can have it most often by the next morning. Wonderful people.
Great people I didn't even buy a tool or purchase any other service from them but they still loaned me a set of Allen wrenches so that I could fix my bike got to love them

They fast fixing tires and pretty good prices too. Called to get my tire fix at home and they came got it and brought it back and put it on. Small town service. The place kinda a mess to look at though. You think they might clean it up being right in town like that. Surprise people don't complain. They good people though so theres that.
Beware of this place. Not only are their prices high but they are complete con-artists. The owner Darryl is rude and racist! We brought our pick up truck in to have 4 new very good quality tires put on. A few months later we got a nail in it an had it towed to a facilty to have it plugged. When the shop went to put air in it to pull it into thr bsy and plug it the tire completely blew up. Lamar county tire told us they would not honor a warranty because we drove on the flat. Well that is the whole reason for us having the vehicle towed so we wouldn't have to drive on the flat!!!! Not only that, but when we took it to get the new tires we also had them do an oil change. The very next day we were stranded on the side of the highway because thr engine quit. The problem: barely any oil!! How do you have no oil in your vehicle when you just got an oil change the day before??!! Also when we brought the truck in they called us to let it know it was ready but also mentioned that there were "pin holes" in the lower radiator hose. That truck was not leaking a thing when we brought it there!! Please if you dont not want to be conned out of your money and have shady work done on your vehicle drive the extra miles to a another town. Obviously, it's a small town and they have to keep their customers coming back somehow, even if it means they purposely cause issues to your vehicle.
Technicians there are stupid. They charged $130 for a basic diagnostic and didn't even help me with my problem. All they gave me was the codes. Don't ever go there!
Used to be a good shop. Took all my vehicles there. Around 2013, something changed (new mechanics maybe?...idk). Weren't able to diagnose issues in 2 separate vehicles, ran my bill up over $1200. My last visit, told me I needed engine replacement for $3K. Took it to another shop, who replaced timing belt & fixed it.
