Dean is a great business man! He told me upfront how much he would pay me for each of my Catalytic Converters via text! I arrived at his shop and the process was fast and easy to get paid. Highly recommended!!!!

I had a great experience selling my old OE Toyota cats and some old batteries. I received a very good price for the cats, I'm very pleased with how the transaction went. I don't believe a better price from another place is possible. Sellers should be aware in advance that they will need to prove ownership when selling catalytic converters such as registration or insurance for the vehicle or a receipt for the replacements. It seems like a hassle, but the place needs to adhere to GA laws. I dealt directly with Dean, the owner, who is a super nice guy.
Dean was super nice and honest. Brought them my catalytic converters from my 2022 Camaro as I had them replaced with high flow cats. I had other places low ball me for my old cats. Brought them to North Georgia Cores and he gave me more than I expected. Actually it was a little more than what he quoted me two days prior. When I got there, they came out to my car and unloaded them for me, I gave them the required documents, my ID and they took a photo of me and my car tags (it's required by the state of Georgia) and they cut me a check. Very easy if you're legit. I highly recommend them.
This is a great place if you are a scrap dealer and want a reliable, straight forward, & honest place to do business with . I have always had a good experience with these guys. If you're cashing in catylitic converters, they have a big screen that shows you each ones price as soon as they type it in. It's a very simple, fast, and efficient process every time. They always respond even after hours when I have a question. I won't ever go any where else. Come here if you want to deal metal with someone that you can trust! 5 ☆☆☆☆☆ recommended
Great mom and pop shop dean L answered all my questions and made the process seem less I have a lot car friends whose constantly swapping parts I will recommend!!
First time going up there I called and called and called but no answer.Im new to the whole scrap metal business and had some questions but since there was no answer I took a scrap aluminum rim up there that wasn't "Clean".
He gave me 23 for just 1 rim and said he'd pay 25 if I brought them clean meaning no center cap,wheel sleeves,wheel weights,tpms sensor , and valve stem.
Well few weeks later around New Year's Eve, I got the tires off 5 more rims and tried to take it up there.I looked on Google maps and it said that they were open so I called up there and what do you know?No answer again.It was getting close to closing time so I figured I better no go and lucky I didn't because I texted all 3 numbers listed and Ryan's father was the only one who replied back told me Ryan was headed out of town.He also said that ever since they've been open they were always closed on New Year's eve.I told him well.......Google has you're business listed as open??♂️
Waited after the holidays to blow on by and finally took all 5 wheels up there.This time he only paid me 19 per wheel.
I looked at him and asked him "Ok i know the prices didn't fluctuate that much did it?So why only 19?"
His response "I said up "TOO" 25 a wheel for clean aluminum rims."
The classic bait and switch.I didn't want to argue so I just left with a 95 dollar check for 5 rims lol.Is that an average price get paid ?Im just curious
And Ryan on my first visit cleary asked me if these items were stolen and said i would be in trouble if they were.I wasn't worried I mean I even came back.But even after taking a picture my Driver License he still needed to take a picture of my Moms tags and a picture of me??♂️.And not to mention they have cameras in the actual docking/work area as well.
Calm down Bruh....... Just because I helped my friend clean up his work area at a car dealership and brought In a few rims that doesn't mean I stole them.I can get the owner at that business to verify this if you still need confirmation.I also helped one of my friends clean up his backyard who can also verify my claims.I was just trying to do the right thing instead of just dumping all 9 rims I received on the side of the road.To make you feel better and not so suspicious next time I'll print my benefits amount to show proof of income and that i don't have to have to steal and sell scrap aluminum rims lol.What a joke
Too make things worse, the second time I went back he did the same thing taking a picture of my moms license plates and me.Im mean what business does that?.This guy still thinking I'm a criminal but this time he stopped and said "Wait..The face of the wheel doesn't look like it's aluminum so I have to check it first."
He checked it with a magnet and it was good.
And even though he already had my Driver license he still felt like he needed to take a few more pictures of my mom's tags and my awesome self.
I'm never going to go back there since they keep sneering and keep thinking I'm just criminal or something.
