This was my 1st rodeo to recycling metal from a old trampoline . The young lady in office was super friendly when i called and in person. The guys on the yard were super helpful , polite and friendly as well and navigated me through the process with no problem. The guy who helped unload even discarded my cardboard box that I used to lay the metal on. I definitely go to them again if needed in future
First off, the employees are wonderful and helpful. They are the best that I've ever dealt with for OVER 10 YEARS now! I pass a couple of scrap yards to go to them. Try them once for yourself, trust me you'll come back!
If you just started recycling and you want to make some money on the side. DO NOT come here, the people working there will rip you off, they will 100% take advantage of you if you don’t know what you are doing. TAKE YOUR BUSINESS SOMEWHERE ELSE. They ripped me off by marking copper as regular metal and gave me misleading information. I hope my information helps someone
This is the place to bring your scrap metal, they get you in and out quick. The young lady in the office is super friendly and the fact that they're open until 2pm on a Saturday is a big plus. Oh yea their prices can't be beat$
I have been taking my aluminum (soda cans & cat food cans) to Progressive for about 2 1/2 years. Employees are always very helpful getting the bags out of my car and inside to be weighed. They always have a competitive price. I have never been on Saturday but during the week I have found Friday to be the busiest so I try to go Monday - Thursday.
Guys are friendly but the pricing is the worst I took in 1,060 in clean number one steel and they only gave me 0 .06a lb and clean aluminum was even worst
The worst customer service , rude employees and they take forever to get you out!! Owners are very disrespectful prices are very very low . If anyone is looking for a great recycling yard PLEASE VISIT OLYMPUS RECYCLING LOCATED IN GAINESVILLE GEORGIA & ONE ALSO IN ATLANTA GEORGIA they are amazing people way better customer service !!!
Great place too recycle and earn some cash for your scrap's. Definitely recommend. In the small office there are list of items as you can see on the picture shown but overall easy fast and simple !
I’m a Total Novice to the recycling business. When asking friends about recycling offices, I was prepared for a difficult time. I will say that before I went, I did some ratings and reviews checking to get a sense of who to try. I chose Progressive after calling and talking to the women on the phone about the process. She was very low key, considerate, and helpful.
Today, I gave them a try and was I surprised how easy it was! I decided to take a couple different categories of metals. They took what I had and divided it into their groups. Turned out, I had 11 different categories of metals. The guys were super nice, quickly took the different pieces and separated them out…Easy Peasy! Then the woman in the front office (pretty sure she was the one I talked to on the phone) gave me a receipt detailing all the different categories, the weight, and price/per pound with a check for the amount on the receipt.
These folks are good people and obviously have an excellent business built on good customer service! I left with a smile on my face, and grateful for the opportunity to call myself a customer of Progressive Recycling!
I tend to pull for this place more than others due to their great prices. They aren't a whole lot more than other recyclers, but are usually paying more.
*Just don't take trash to dump out!!*
