I had a strange sound coming from underneath my 2013 Cadillac XTS and I debating whether to repair it, replace it or just continue to drive it. Matt Yearwood drove and inspected my car and gave me a detailed and technical explanation of exactly what my problem was and he also went on line to provide me with all the alternatives for replacement parts.
Matt far exceeded my expectations and I am very grateful. I have been going to his father, David, for more than 20 years and I am pleased to know that the Yearwood auto service is in good hands after the transition from David to Matt.

I would recommend this shop to anyone based upon my first experience. The price was very reasonable, and they took care of my issue quickly. It was basically the complete opposite of what I experienced at the dealership.

I ran over debris on the interstate that peeled open the metal protective layer underneath my car. I was worried about getting back to Charleston, SC. I walked in without an appointment and was helped immediately by 3 friendly associates. They fixed my car in under 20 minutes and I was able to make it home safely. Very affordable!! Thank you!
If you are ever in need of a repair, I would certainly recommend David! He has always gotten my vehicles fixed up and has always been fair as far as pricing goes. It is good to have somewhere that you can go, and you feel like you can trust what they tell you.

Mr. Yearwood replaced the water pump in my Pacifica. He and his staff are courteous and he is extremely knowledgeable. I am an out-of- towner and was looking for a reliable and trustworthy shop to perform the repair. I found it at David Yearwood's Auto Repair! I had the utmost confidence in him replacing the part and when I'm in town again, I'd choose to have work done on my vehicle at his shop!
I was so very pleased from the beginning when I called the office to schedule the appointment to when I picked it up after the repair. They are very professional, friendly and very honest David gave me a price and when I picked it up it was a little less than his quote and my personal experience that has never happened any where else I have used in the pass. My car broke down over an hour away from home and that may have been the most fortunate thing - not the breakdown, but because I was so far from home I solicited advice from the tow truck driver and had it towed to the nearest garage. He did not steer me wrong!
David Yearwood diagnosed the problem, made the necessary repairs, and had it done within the time promised at a very fair cost. When I picked up the vehicle he took the time to come out and explain the repairs made and even had the failed parts to show me.
I wholeheartedly recommend Yearwood's Auto Repair. I only wish it was closer to home so that I could get all my vehicles serviced there!

Great experience! My check engine light was on in my car. I called and asked if I could come int to have it diagnosed. I was given an appointment right away. I took the car there in within 15 minutes of checking it out they knew what was wrong. They ordered the parts and I came back the next day to have it repaired. Such wonderful customer service, fair pricing and overall great experience. Than you so much!
I called beforehand to make an appointment to get my vehicle looked at. The receptionist said to drop it off Monday and David will get to it on Tuesday. I did that. On the phone mentioned that I believe it had an alternator problem. When I dropped it off I mentioned again I believe there is an alternator problem but please complete a full inspection on it. On Friday (today) I get a phone call from the receptionist. She said David asked her call me. He said he was confused because the vehicle starts. I was disappointed that they didn't even bother to call me to let me know that they wouldn't even look at it until after 3 days following my scheduled appointment. When I asked David about this, he said "im busy. Didn't you see all the cars in my lot when you dropped it off?" He also kept saying, "I didn't know you were in such a hurry". I kept telling him its not that I am in a hurry, it's that his receptionist scheduled the Tuesday appointment with me. He also said that if I were so worried about them not getting to my vehicle until today, then why didn't I call him to inquire. He ended up saying its best I come pick up my vehicle. That is the one statement he said that I completely agreed with.
If you have high expectations for customer service and would like to support a business that adheres to their word, then I would avoid Davie Yearwoods. I have no idea what the quality of work or pricing is like since we didn't get that far so I cannot speak on that.
Great place to bring your car if you have an issue. I’ve only had maintenance work done by this shop, and I’m very pleased with what I’ve experienced. This is a full service shop, except for tires and alignment. Courteous and efficient staff. Prices and quality are great.
We took my daughter's Mini Cooper to David to check the electronic modules because the battery kept dieing. Turns out the previous owner had put the wrong type battery in so they replaced the battery and we were good to go! It sure was a relief and great that David has the knowledge & equipment for diagnosing Mini's! There aren't many places that will work on Mini's other than the dealers! Thank you so much David!
My car was involved in an accident. I called David Yearwoods Auto Repair and was greeted with a delightful voice. I asked her detailed questions and she politely put me on hold to ask David. This was a plus she didn't guess or say I will call you back. She was able to give me the answers that I needed.
Our son, a recent graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy, had a transmission failure near Greensboro while towing a trailer to his next duty station (Pensacola, Florida). He was towed to a shop last night. Fearing the worst I Googled "Transmission repairs in Greensboro", and saw Yearwoods listed. However, before I could reach him, he had already been to the shop he had been towed too late last night. They had already looked at the car, decided to flush and refill the transmission, and that it was NOT damaged! By the time I spoke to him, he and his fellow Officer were already on the road. I asked him the name of the shop where it had been worked on, and Gee, what a surprise, it was Yearwoods! Talk about integrity! They could have easily told him the transmission needed extensive work, and we wouldn't have known any better because I was not there. People like this deserve recognition, and our business!!! Thanks!
We broke down in the middle of evacuating hurricane Matthew, and am I so thankful it was 30 seconds down the road from David Yearwood. He handles us with such compassion, professionalism, and urgency that it took so much stress off my back. He's honest and does what he can to get you the right deal for your car.
