Let’s begin. --- 🚨 Botched EVAP Repair = Emissions Failure for MONTHS This image below shows the actual vacuum hose splice Ledford’s “installed” — using what looks like aquarium tubing, electrical tape, and zero shame: 🖼️ “This vacuum hose was replaced by your shop, sir. Can you explain why this slap-together mess is supposed to pass emissions?” This kind of jerry-rigging does not belong on any emissions-critical system — especially not the EVAP system, which directly causes a permanent readiness fail and makes a car illegal to operate in the state of Georgia. --- 💰 $450 to Replace BRAND NEW SPARK PLUGS? Yep. After all this, they refused to even diagnose the issue unless we agreed to pay $450 to replace six perfectly good spark plugs — plugs that were freshly installed days earlier. No code scan. No test drive. Just straight for the jugular. --- 🧑‍💼 Creepy Request to Contact My Ex? You read that right. They refused to proceed until they could speak with my ex-girlfriend — in Texas — someone with zero connection to this vehicle, this repair, or this account. That’s not policy — that’s a privacy violation and a red flag the size of Texas. --- ⚠️ Final Verdict Ledford’s isn’t a repair shop. It’s a money pit with wrenches. They wasted months of our time. They botched a simple vacuum line job. They tried to shake us down with nonsense charges. And they dodged all accountability when called out. --- 🛑 Do NOT go here for emissions-related work. 🛑 Do NOT trust them with your vehicle. 🛑 Do NOT expect them to stand behind their work. Zero stars. Attached is the photo of the janky repair that cost us time, money, and our registration. If this is how they handle small hoses, imagine how they handle brakes or suspension. --what does filed out mean?

I had an issue with my older vehicle and received prompt towing service and a diagnostic check. Although they were unable to handle the repair, they agreed to tow me to a specialty shop in a nearby city. Stoney the tow guy was very kind and Courtney was on top of it, explaining everything and patient with my questions. I know the cost was fair and I am glad to have found a shop I can use in the future if needed.

Very unprofessional. Will do unauthorized work and keep keys if you don't pay. 1000.00 later after they trouble shoot on my dime. I need a new motor. I was very cordial he continued to be unsympathetic over talked my questions. Then hung up in my face. Not very customer friendly 😒 I don't recommend this auto shop it's unorganized. The front desk clerk is not very kind.

Last week was my 1st time dealing with Tim's shop I was very happy with the work he did on my daughter suv it was leaking oil every where..he was super fast and did good work and he saved me over 500 dollars and he also has very good prices on the towing to the 1st place I called they told me 200 dollars for a tow when I called Tim's place he said 90 dollars...it hard to find a good place you trust to work on your car or truck now days..I had a GREAT experience with his shop.. and everyone of the people working there was very nice inside and out..he even put a sensor on my daughter suv at no charge..cause he wanted everything to be right on her suv..thank you guys.

I’ll make a long story short. I came in with a fixable issue and left with an inoperable car. Took it back to them several times to rectify the issue and was billed but still ended up with no car at the end of it. No apology , no concern , and now, lies. Yes we will be going to court so I won’t speak on it further via the internet but those of you looking for service, I DO NOT RECOMMEND

I needed a quick tow from my house to COSTCO for a tire repair. After calling several tow companies and being sent to voice mail, I called Tim’s and the call was answered the first ring. 15 min later Stoney was at my house and hooking up my car. These folks were friendly and quick.

Great guys and office staff! Professional and very informative. Fixed my car quickly and great fair pricing. I drove from Alabama to have them work on my car. Only people I trust.

I called them to tow my car, they were referred by a friend, but I'm not sure why! They had my car from 8-5 & did nothing. Courtney told me at 11am to give her a few minutes & they would pull my car in the garage & diagnose it....well they didn't! I went to check on my car the next day & she blew smoke up my butt saying they did look at my car & didn't find the problem, so they would need more time to find the issue. BS! When I got in my car to take it elsewhere, there was grease all over interior door & it was left unlocked. This place is a joke! I now have to pay another tow truck to take it somewhere else to be fixed...

Been Herr for both personal and bissness cars they always treat me good. They have reasonable price

I needed a headlight bulb replaced and I walked in and Courtney immediately came to my aid! She was awesome and within a few minutes I was on my way, no charge (I did purchase the bulb ahead of time) their reviews seem great I'll be back!!

I came here because it used to be Mayros auto and Mayro was super friendly and great work. This Tim guy and the girl that works behind the counter were so rude that I had to leave and take my service to a lot better place!

If you would like to be lied to about labor, part, replacement and damage or any type of work done to your vehicle, go to Tim Ledford automotive. These guys lied to me three times over a series of a year and a half about my Lexus stating that it had all types of electrical issues when they were just replacing small parts that were breaking because of a fuse that was blown because they could gain tons of profit for it as well as charging the parts and labor for labor they did not do in parts they did not replace to top it all off. I had a very small repair done to my wife’s car and they allowed one of the technicians to drive my wife’s car home even though it was a very small repair. They did not need a drive home test. If you want to be ripped off and have inadequate and untrustworthy service, choose this company if you want anything but dishonesty go anywhere else.

Brought I'm my 93 DeVille for diagnostic and repair. I should have known this was doomed from the start when the owner told me this story of this Cadillac who couldn't fix and told the customer He's throwing up his hand LOL. I told him I needed motor mounts which is obvious. I also supplied the motor mount. I asked them to replace any others needed. (They did not) I also told them my car has a steering wheel vibrations around 65mph. I also told them that it hesitates under a load and that I wanted to check for that. Needless to say my car is still vibrating and hesitating. The one motor mount did help but it still moves in reverse. After keeping the car a week and a half total, they charged me $350 for one motor mount and said no other issues are found at this time.

Tim is a great guy and has competent mechanics working for him. They took care of me earlier this week when I broke down in my work truck. I'm based out of McDonough and he got me back up and running. Tim it was a pleasure to meet you. Thank you for everything!!

I bought an older truck from someone in the area and started having trouble with it on the way back to TN. Found these guys because they were the closest to me and open on a Saturday. I dropped in, told them what was going on and they dropped what they were doing, assessed the issue and I made it home just fine. Awesome guys, super nice. I'd stop in just to say hello if I'm ever in the area again.

Another shop we have used for many years said the engine on our 2015 Sante Fe was locked up and the starter was bad - estimated over $5k in repairs. We towed it to Tim's shop as a last ditch effort to salvage it or even sell it for parts based on a family referral. Tim took a look and said the engine was bad but there was an extended recall from Hyundai and suggested we tow it to a dealer to see if they'd replace it for free. Hyundai is giving us a new engine and our car now has "new life" all because of Tim's knowledge and experience. He didn't even charge us for his time /inspection. Can't thank him enough!! If you are looking for an honest mechanic, look no further.

I chose this company because they were the cheapest in town. Dropped my car off on Friday for ONLY AN ELECTRICAL DIAGNOSIS and didn't hear anything, so I called after a whole week. They said they didn't even look at it. But, when I looked at my dashcam footage, there was evidence that they did look at my car. So if they didn't look at the electrical problems, what did they do to my car?? Why did they not do anything for 7-8 days?? I don't get it. Took it else where and had a diagnosis in under an hour. Don't use this company, they are lazy and liars.

Needed repairs. They did not test drive the vehicle, therefore not realizing it needed adjustments. They refused to re-check their work without charging even more money. Bad ethically as well as poor customer service. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone....ever.

BOTH Mr & Mrs Ledford were wonderfully knowledgeable & kind. They openly reflect their faith in their mannerisms, countenance as well as their business practices which as a follower of Jesus Christ is paramount to me in my life & in this world that is showing more of the negative, lost & downright ugly sides of life daily. Bringing more positivity, love & joy into life will always be worth my time to share a glowing review so others might not only have an experience equal to mine, on 2 occasions now but that the Ledford home & business might also prosper under authority of God's grace & blessings!

I've been having Tim service my vehicles for over 20 years. He is honest, and stands behind his work. If you are looking for a mechanic that isn't just out to make money he is your guy! My family and I hope to continue using his business for many years to come.

Tim Ledford and his employees have been taking care of my family and our vehicles for over 10 years. I am 50 years old and his is the first automotive shop I have ever felt I could go to without having a man with me. They don't try to oversell you. If I walk in with a list of things I need looked at he will tell me what is the most important to get fixed and what can be put off until I can afford it. He knows I have several babies that I carry in my car and he always make sure that my car is up to safety standards. When we buy a new vehicle he's also the one that does our pre-purchase inspection. He's been in Powder Springs his whole life and it's known very well and has a great reputation for treating people right and doing great work.
