Customer Service was exceptionally nice. Danny, I believe, was the one I talked mostly with, he informed me that my car had previously been well maintained, he kept me informed throughout the job, and overall a nice guy to talk with.
Waiting area is very clean and professional, and I had no problems with this shop while my car was being worked on.
They did a good job with the work I had requested them to do, and were extremely fast to start on my car and finished before the end of the day.

I went to University Tire after buying a truck from a friend to get a full diagnostic done. The diagnostic alone was $150 which didn’t go toward any repairs, and in hindsight should have been my first red flag. After the inspection, I was told the only issues were the power steering pump and a couple of hoses, and I was given a very high quote based solely on those items. No other problems were mentioned.
I approved the repair, picked the truck up, and drove it for about 20 minutes to make sure the power steering felt right. When I got home and opened the hood to check things over, I immediately noticed a coolant leak on the opposite side of the engine bay. My brake booster was wet, my heater core hose had a coolant leak, and my coolant reservoir return hose wasn’t even connected or clamped. I also checked the work they did and saw the clamp on the power steering hose wasn’t tightened correctly.
If I can spot these issues myself, I feel a trained mechanic should have identified them during the diagnostic especially since I paid specifically for that service. These items should have been noted and included in the quote, even if it meant a higher repair cost. Instead, only the steering components were mentioned.
They told me to come back the next day for a cooling-system pressure test because they were too busy to handle it the same day, but I believe that should have been part of the original diagnostic. Now I have to make another trip, and at no point did anyone communicate that more issues existed beyond what they repaired. They told me the diagnostic was to check all systems, which is the only reason I agreed to pay for it yet I still ended up discovering multiple problems on my own afterward! They only reason I did not put 1 star is because the power steering is restored for now and there was miscommunication one front desk person said it was a full inspection the other said it was an inspection based only on your complaints. Regardless if you smell coolant and see coolant let me know it needs to be fixed
I have taken my vehicle here for oil changes and brake jobs for years and have never had 1 complaint. If there have been any issues, they have been proactive and addressed them accordingly. Just this week I called them at 9am and told them I needed my oil changed and tires rotated, and they came within 10 minutes to pick up my truck from work and brought it back after lunch! Highly recommend!

No appointment, but worked my truck service in and had it ready within an hour… friendly, service oriented and positive . Very clean bathrooms and front office. Highly recommend!!
I had Bo as my customer service representative. He was very cordial and engaging. He drove me home since I had my car overnight. They fixed my car 🚗 and so far so good! I have been to a handful places in Athens and Watkinsville and University Tire is my most favorite 😍 I will continue using them in the future!
Helpful folks, will squeeze you in last minute if they can, will correct any mistakes on their own dime, and are generally reasonable about what they tell you is needed for your car. They have also been pretty fair about how much they charge. I’ve brought my car here several times and will probably be bringing it back.
Great customer service and always took the time to explain any other needs to my vehicle that I didn’t know about. They never pushed extra services like others tend to do and the waiting room has quality seating and beverages to make it very comfortable while waiting. I think I have a new place for all my cars needs! Highly recommend this place!

Excellent customer service. Honest and reasonably priced. I visited expecting to get a front end alignment but was pleasantly surprised to find out that I just needed a couple of wheels to be rebalanced. Wonderful staff!
Melissa was great. She communicated what needed to be done and explained to me what had happened at the previous shop I had foolishly taken my vehicle. Lucky for them I was convinced that the error was unlikely something they could have forseen. I will not make such a mistake again and shall always go to University Tire first.
Charged me $89 extra on my alignment "because I put new parts on my car"
In which I did but that's just stupid, every part being new should make the job easy and quick for them, and last me a long time.
Then they proceeded to give me a half assed alignment.
The old guy who does the alignments obviously doesn't get paid enough to enjoy his work, so he grabs my brand new hexed tie rods with pliers and marks them all up. Left my brand new tie rod boots twisted up badly and didn't even bother to put the clamps back on them.
Gave me the worst most mix matched caster angle, then writes on the paper that it's "okay!"
My camber was also not even! Like a whole degree off!! With all the adjustment he could possibly have on this car.
I'm am so incredibly displeased with how they treated my car. And I work directly next door to them!!! This is how you treat your neighbors?!
The only thing he did correctly was get the steering wheel straight and set the toe correctly.
For almost $200 I got less then the bare minimum. I feel robbed of my money and my time, and disrespected!! Don't go here for anything!
Brian at this location… we could not rave about him more! The Athens location off of Lexington Rd had great customer service skills, very prompt, professional, and kind. This kind of service is unheard of nowadays. Such a smooth process and affordable options. Had a popped tire the night before and it was difficult finding a tire company that could install a 37” tire. They got the tire ordered 30 min before closing, had a new one installed and ready to go by lunch time the next day. Blessed to be able to do business with them!
Brian was a great help at advising exactly what my car needed before a cross country road trip. I’ve always visited this shop for oil changes/tire repair, and they made the recommendation for a whole new set of tires for my trip, service work was efficient, waiting area is clean and comfortable, they always have hot coffee!
Everyone here is so nice! They did a special for Teachers and Nurses! That was awesome to take time to see about us. Definitely won me over as a new client!
I will always go back to University now! Bo and Brian went out of their way to help me sort out some confusion and give me a second opinion after having my breaks done elsewhere. I was due for tires as well and Bo was very helpful in quoting me a few different tires that would be a good fit for my vehicle. When I came back a few weeks later to get the new tires they were both very helpful and friendly again! I will not stray from University in the future.
My friend recommended University Tire to me when I had a flat, and I had the very best experience possible! Malissa and Bryant were extremely professional, communicative, and lovely to work with. They way they communicated made me comfortable during what was otherwise a very stressful time! My car was ready the very same day, and they explained everything thoroughly, which was super helpful as someone who doesn't know cars. (Volvo XC60). Thanks Malissa and Bryan! You're the best!

Updates: Also Completed my oil change service here. They even offered me a full service A for my mercedes. Good price and saved my money 🥹. BTW, there is a kind sticker to record the oil used and next service time.

My first time doing business here. What great experience. I needed a front end alignment and I was in and out in a very reasonable amount of time. Everyone was so courteous and helpful. The alignment was spot on. The waiting area is great. Several types of seating, a countertop for working, seating with plenty of charging options if needed. And Jittery Joes coffee. I’ll be back for more service and would recommend them to anyone I know.
