Gerald Thompson is one of the nicest, most genuine people I know. To say that he is friendly and honest is an understatement. He and his team go above and beyond what I would expect from customer service.
I have never had a complaint about the work that I have had done at this shop, and since all of my cars are 100,000 miles plus, I usually have to go see him a couple of times per year for something. I have been using Thompson Automotive for YEARS, and would have gone somewhere else a long time ago if I had not been satisfied with their work, or felt like I was being treated in a dishonest manner.
Wow. Was to do some work on a crate motor for my father. Broke the fan shroud, didn't screw it down. Literally did not put a gasket on the water pump causing major issues that could have been catastrophic. He just wanted a good mechanic to save him time but instead we're spending hours fixing things and hoping we don't discover more issues. RSV is not a gasket for a water pump. Pics included. Everyone from the front office to the group of service tech at Thompson Automotive, are observant thorough and considerate of the customers Automotive needs and seem to go the extra mile to get the job done in a timely manner and write the first time. I would recommend the young man that worked on my dad's truck or any of the other Automotive technicians
If you want to have your vehicle fixed right, go there!!! A great indicator of how the community feels about them is the fact that their service yard overfloweth...always. Fantastic bunch of guys, state of the art equipment, and absolute genius under the hood.
Gerald is the best mechanic around!!! I’m sure that if anyone that would try this place out. You will not be disappointed! He’s a man of his word. He’s a hard working man. I’ve known him and his family for most of my life. & I wouldn’t trust anyone else!

Thompson automotive always treats me right, they always call me with the problem and the price before doing anything. Gearold and his family are good people. My family and I have been using him for years.
When my husband first started using this place, it was great. Reasonable, dependable. However, that began to change a couple of years ago. We would take a vehicle there, and they couldn't find the problem. Or they would say they fixed the problem, and it wasn't fixed. My husband took his RV there and instead of just saying "we don't want to work on your RV, even the part that is just like a normal truck", they just let it sit on the lot for a couple of weeks and said they hadn't gotten to it. My husband left some money in his car also, that disappeared. The owner indicated that he thought he knew who had taken it - and also indicated that he planned to do nothing about it. Not that we expected the money back; it was left at our own risk. But why would you want a thief working in your garage?
Thompson's is absolutely not closed. My vehicle is being repaired at Thompson's right now. It is the only place my family trusts to get our vehicles serviced and repaired!
