Treasure Island is the perfect mix of laid-back beach town and beautiful Gulf Coast views. The white sand beaches are wide, clean, and never feel overly crowded, making it a great spot to relax, walk along the shoreline, or catch a peaceful sunset.
From a Floridian born and raised of 32 years, one of my top beaches!! Plenty of bars, restaurants, hotels, and it's not overly touristy like Clearwater.
Always something to do here . They have one event after another. We ride our bikes down there because parking is outrageous. Went for the price festival today and it was fabulous ❤️

Parking can be time consuming sometimes. But plenty of entertainment and restrooms. Outdoor showers to clean sand off. Plenty of beach area. Sand is clean, good for the kids.
Who doesn't love insane sandcastles every Christmas? That is the only reason I come here and I don't think I need another reason because this is the most perfect reason. If you're here during the holidays, go see the sandcastles and if you don't, you're missing out.
September 15, 2025 walked about an hour of treasure island ?️ beach ?️ it was peaceful and beautiful on Monday, clear waters, nice shells ?, and not a lot of people, parking cost $4.45 for an hour, stopped at Daycation Coffee prior for Matcha ?
December 14, 2025 Angie and I walked for an hour at the beach, cost $6 at the park mobile.
Today we visited Island Beach to see the sand sculpture exhibition. The sand sculptures created by professional sand artists were incredibly beautiful and lifelike. This exhibition provided us with a strong visual experience, challenging conventional thinking and changing my preconceived notions about things. It's closer to life; all you need to do is be willing to "let go" and bravely try new things. A world in every grain of sand.❤️
Amazing beach with pristine waters and white fluffy sand, the beach is wide with tons of space for you to have privacy. Lots of things happening on the beach from parasailers in the distance, boats, and ships, beach rentals and water equipment, inflatable slides and trampolines for children. A nice boardwalk to walk. We will definitely be back!
Treaure Island offers surf, sand, and often sunshine. Great access to beach from parking lot that is paid by app $6 per hour. Men’s and women’s restrooms are available with dedicated stall that have 3ft x6ft space and 1 grab bar.
Rentals of paddle boards and more available.

The orange sunset behind the juried sand sculptures was exhilarating to watch. The water wasn't too cold to walk in. The big soft sand beach was a beautiful white. The crowd was happy, chill, and friendly. Publix is across the street. Traffic was good. There was a local police tent among the many event tent vendors for community safety. Parking price for 2 hrs in a nearby lot was $30 during the event! ? Overall an affordable great tourist experience for one person or many!
Nice beach and they allow you to have drinks on the beach as long as they aren't in glass containers. Which doesn't sound like a big deal but it's apparently one of the few beaches in the area that do allow alcohol on the beach. We had a tiki bar on the beach that was pretty awesome. We will absolutely be back.

I came to this beach for the first time and I loved it. From the convenience of Publix literally across the street to the low price parking. This was such a great experience. You have everything you need close by as far as stores and the beach itself is gorgeous. The sand definitely feels like powder sugar lol and tons of seashells to capture. I will for sure come back here again
My 1s time at the treasure Island unprepared! We were at imagine Museum and is 16 mins drive! The water is clear and waves none and my children can play at the bay! There's no rocks on the sand and lots of seashells! Theres parking but have to pay! Not overly crowded! I definitely recommend family with little children and there's an ice cream store 2 mins drive Ice & Cream creamery!

You can rent paddleboards, beach chairs, umbrellas, and more, but be prepared for some extra costs—the convenience comes at a price. That said, everything is easy to access.
Restrooms and outdoor showers are available and generally clean. Beach mats and ramps make parts of the beach accessible, which is a plus for families.
Treasure Island Beach strikes a great balance between relaxation and activity. Whether you're there to unwind, take long walks, or catch a perfect sunset, it’s hard to be disappointed. Just plan ahead for parking and bring a little patience if it’s a busy day.

I absolutely loved this beautiful beach. The beach chair rental staff was very nice and the attractions were really fun and worth the prices.. The only thing that could be much better is where Google maps brings you to park. The parking was wrong! It brought us to the parking lot of a hotel.
Treasure Island Beach is exactly what the name promises—an actual treasure. ?️ The sand is soft enough to make you question why you ever wore shoes, the water is so clear you’ll start auditioning for a mermaid reboot, and the sunsets? Chef’s kiss. It’s like Mother Nature showing off every night. ?
Parking was shockingly cheap—like, “did they forget to update the rates since 1998?” cheap. And best of all, it wasn’t packed with tourists elbowing you for towel space. Plenty of room to stretch out, soak up the sun, and live your best beach bum life.
Whether you’re building sandcastles, pretending you're in a rom-com during sunset, or just laying there questioning all your life choices that don’t involve this beach... Treasure Island is a vibe. 10/10, would ditch responsibilities to come back.
Treasure Island Beach in St. Petersburg, Florida truly lives up to its name! The crystal-clear water is absolutely breathtaking — perfect for a relaxing swim or simply soaking in the view. The only downside is that it can get pretty crowded, especially on weekends. If your schedule allows, visiting on a weekday morning makes all the difference. That’s when you can really appreciate the peaceful, tranquil vibe this beach has to offer.
