How is this place still open? They damaged my car as well as killed my battery. Charged me extra for a day when they were not open or available. Cash only so they can evade tax. Very disrespectful, unhonest staff. To my surprise they admitted to having a son who is a deputy sheriff I assume to protect their investment as such an unmoral racket. With no recourse by our law enforcement these scammers will be at it indefinitely. Shame on these terrible people and hopefully karma will be around soon to end their tyranny.

I'm convinced the owner is either a crook or the world's worst businessman. He had to tow 3 of my customers' cars - not because they were illegally parked but because they were on a 2day fishing trip and the property owner was setting up for the Seafood Festival in the parking lot and their vehicles were unfortunately in the way at 830am. I was contacted by the property manager and understood the situation. I called the listed number and spoke with Scott who started to defensively explain the situation. I told him I understood and that I just needed to know where the lot was, how much this was going to cost and what time they closed. He responded with "on Mountain Drive, $125/vehicle and 4pm." My only problem was the 4pm answer and I was audibly upset when I informed him that the boat wouldn't be in till 6pm. His response was, "well that's your problem." I told him this was going to be really bad and I had to call the property owner back and hung up. Let me reiterate nobody was parked illegally, the property owner and the festival coordinator did not want them towed to the impound lot.....just out of the way. I immediately called the property owner and informed her of the situation at which she was also very upset and concerned. While on the phone with her, Steve called me back and begrudgingly told me he'd have someone stay till 7pm but not a minute longer. I thanked him and promised him we'd get the customers there before then. I called the property owner back and told her what he'd said. To this point all parties involved had been stressed but polite to each other and understanding....except for Steve. He could have cared less, was short and rude on the phone, and acted like he was doing me a big favor staying open 3hrs. Fast forward to 630pm when I show up with my 3 customers who are understandably upset but are not being belligerent. The lady behind the counter was ready for us with the paperwork. She informed us that will be $150.....I immediately balked and said I was quoted $125! She said well the cars have been here more than 8hrs, there's a storage fee. I said that's not what I was told. She said to take it up with the owner. I asked to see him and she told me I'd have to call him. While I was on the phone my fed up customers tried to just pay her but ran into the next scam. We knew it was cash only thanks to some homework on my part, not because Scott thought to tell me. But she claimed she couldn't provide change for $100! I asked if I could pay with a company check and she said cash only. Thankfully we managed to scrape together change between the 4 of us. While we were waiting for the vehicles Scott calls me back and I upsettedly start complaining that he quoted me "$125 not 150 and then to add insult to injury can't make change for $100 at a cash only business!" Now I'll admit I was audibly upset but I hadn't cussed or been inappropriate to this point. "His response was, "I never said any such thing. There's $300 in change there. And this entire conversation is being recorded....." At that point I got really angry. Instead of taking an opportunity to make some good community neighbors, making a bad situation right, and following the law.....he accused me of lying and threatened me with what I can only imagine is legal action by telling me he was recording our conversation. Let me again state, I understood the situation, approved the towing and was prepared to pay the $125/vehicle. I wasn't at all upset at about any of that. It was an unfortunate situation I was trying to make the best of. What I wasn't going to take was rudeness, being overcharged and then being mistreated. Unfortunately for him I do my homework. I know he was going to violate state regulations by closing at 4pm and implying my customers were SOL AND he could have towed the vehicles to another location on the property AND I have witnesses to prove it. FYI- they cannot keep your vehicle overnight if you request it. By law there must be a 24hr# & they must produce your car in 1hr w/pmt.

Excellent service, showed up immediately when our trailer snapped at the boat ramp. Was able to maneuver the trailer (with boat on it) . Would highly recommend.

I have been to Walmart for 40 minutes and they tow my truck ask 600$ cash ,, irs ???,,, very rude no respect , no humanity, he stay with the gun on his shoulder and talk disrespectful ! He said you can call the police they will not help you ! Its like a criminal organization ! I hope Office of the Attorney General will investigate those group !

In a dodgy industry these guys stand out as some of the worst. Reckless, shady and just plain ignorant. Hope this review saves one person from calling them and using their services but I believe they focus more on grabbing vehicles and holding them hostage than providing a legitimate service. 2/12/25 - Sad to see these guys are still in business. I heard they are worse than ever at screwing over tourist in a town that thrives off of tourist.

Recently had to tow my camper to another lot due to my rig being broke down. These boys were the fairest priced, and went out of their way to help get out of a bind, and were more than professional and courteous. If I ever (hopefully not haha) use another towing company again these people would be it. I don’t know where some of these low ratings have came through in the past but my experience has been the complete polar opposite.

Dont 'trust them they will stole you during the Day, they have towed m'y camper on a Lot near the Wallmart prétextant it was à no parking zone i have seen on the dash cam of m'y friend how they proceed, they place an indication no parking before leaving with the camper, they told me they have use à dollie to make the towing on the dash cam i can see no dolli under the rear wheel, they have unlocked the door to put it in neutral,$200.00 under m'y carpet driver was not there when i recover the camper, they are bandit ! And in more i have to pay $325 cash !

This company is nothing but jerks. They have it set up with businesses to tow tourist cars. They towed like 25 cars tonite, would only take cash. Thousands of people visiting and they do this. The girl in the office kicked us all out including a young girl having breathing problems. The city and BBB is going to be contacted about this business.

This company has “spotters” who look for people parked incorrectly and call the tow trucks to come get them almost immediately. We were towed in a very poorly marked parking lot which only had signs on half the parking lot as well as about 50 other cars. Left us and a group of 16 year old girls to WALK around the corner to the towing company at 9:30 PM. Once we got there the guy informed us that he wouldn’t allow anyone to come in with you. I can understand this with adults but their is no way I would allow my 16 year old female to go alone in the building with this man. This scam has been going on for 4 years according to more reviews. If the parking complex owner really has an issue with the parking the parking spots should be marked everywhere. Very unprofessional towers & rude as well. Our car was also damaged after we got it out.

Worst company ever! Totally unprofessional and disgusting. Female driver shoved our neighbor. Towing company came on private property to tow a vehicle clearly marked with a handicap sticker that was unable to park in the designated space. Car was not blocking anyone but Destin Towing wanted to make some money Friday Evening. Owner was there trying to move their car and Destin towing wouldn’t allow it, loaded the car up with the owner standing there. Police had to be called. Destin Towing charged my neighbor $87.50 to drop the car that should never have been picked up. Strongly advise against using such a disgusting, heartless company.

Towed car for a customer parking area only from just one street way and charged $175 cash only, closes at 5pm and super small sign making a stressful event even more stressful. Nice people though….. I guess I would be too making $175 for a 15 minute job. Daughter worked 12 hours to make the same amount trying to save for college. She panic a parked here to try to get to work on time at busy Harbor Walk. I feel sorry for our kids because this money grab type businesses is what it is now days.

Scott at Destin towing was great, we had specialized equipment breakdown at the airport and he was able to pick it up the next morning and bring it to Panama City for repairs. Stayed kin contact, sent me pictures of it being hooked up... And pictures of it dropped off safely. Great service!

Towed my vehicle from a parking lot that wasn’t clearly labeled “No Parking” except a small sign on the front corner. Got to their BEAUT of a business to find they only take cash. Best tax evasion trick. Place is a dump, the people are low life’s. I think it’s time people start writing letters to the City of Destin on this company and filing tax fraud on them to get these crooks noticed. They are nothing but pukes looking to make a buck!

the parking attendant called this morning around 6am about a car parked in a reserved spot! about a hour later they arrived and took the car away. that is their job. you can't get mad at them for your vehicle getting towed. they did a wonderful job. they were prompt & quick to the scene and very professional. 11/10 I would reccomend them over & over again.

Towed our car after all businesses were closed. We paid the $125 to trashy looking people inside a uhaul dealership. Finally received our vehicle that had animal poop thrown inside on passenger side, as well as, a really fowl smelling spray inside our vehicle. Awful experience in Destin and will not be returning. Where are our awesome police authorities against such crime??

As a towing company hired by the building I live to tow vehicles that are parked illegal they are very unprofessional. They pick and choose which rules the property owner has in place when it comes to removing vehicles. It is a constantly moving goal post in terms of the reason they tow someone's car. Bottom line they use their position to put people's property behind their fence and force a an outrageous fee on the owner of the vehicle with no recourse for their action. The people that work there do not treat you with decency if they have towed your car. So be on the look out for them and their shady tactics, because it will cost you $125 if they decide to use you as a revenue source.

The low-lives that work at this place are so out of touch with professionalism that they chose to argue and raise voices at us, and not only over the phone when trying to get an answer about where my car is, but also in-person at the front desk. I also had a U-haul reservation in November and will undoubtably be switching to a truck rental company that knows how customer service works. Starting a conflict with a customer because they ask questions like “Are we able to go back to the car?”, or “Your policy really charges for a day that you’re not open?” is not just. Any other “company”, if that’s what you would chose to call this place, would handle any dissatisfaction with a customer accordingly.

Scammers of the lowest degree. They lie in wait for people to park in what they claim to be no parking zones. Then when the owners leave their car, they pounce. We returned at 9:10 to find them winching up our car. They said it was a no parking zone after 9:00. Then they informed us we could pay $125 in cash if we had that much with us. If not, they would take $120 in cash. They would not accept a credit card or check. They even pointed out a convenient atm machine across the street where we could get cash. They are clearly targeting tourists, they are obviously dishonest and they are crooks. Beware.

Literally the best towing experience! Came to my aid last minute. So impressed with driving skills and such a nice guy! I had to have my converted school bus towed and Destin Towing took such good care of it. The best price for such quality service. I highly highly recommend and Destin Towing is now in my speed dial! Thanks again!

Incredible job. Someone attempted to steal my car and as a result, my car was inoperable, and in a compromising position. It took 3 trucks, and 4 of their people, but they took their time getting the car out of the spot, and on to their truck despite steering being locked, and front end 4 inches off the ground. Once back at their shop, they secured the car inside as to not have anyone further damage the vehicle. Lamborghini roadside assistance contracted them to deliver my car all the way to Orlando, FL from Destin, and they did so in a professional manner. Highly recommend Destin Towing when you are in need.

If i gotta give one star to get on the board then so be it. But thats being generous. This place is a crock. I booked a rental through them to be picked up at 9 AM for a work trip. Come in between 9 and 10, after calling the lady at the office the day before confirming it would be there and she stated it was. Well i get here this morning and they rented my van right after i called them i guess. She proceeds to tell me she was the only one here yesterday and doesnt remeber talking to me. Then the big headed round dude comes out telling me to go find a rental somewhere else. Dont wast your time with this company! There is a reason they have 2 stars! They lie, obviously bad with booking and They cant keep any tow drivers either from the sounds of it! The lady at the fort walton beach location got me taken care of with no issues or hassle though!

They towed my car even though where i parked there was no signage. the parking spaces in the row behind me had signage and they claim that it was for all of them which it didn’t specify. They argued with me and my fiancé and I had to pay $125. needless to say they don’t take cards so I had to use their atm that charged $5 to use! these people are crooks and unprofessional. they are up to no good and taking advantage of people.

"Destin Towing" is nearly a criminal organization. My car was towed in a parking lot and when I came back there were more than 60 other cars in the lot. I never received formal documentation for why my car was towed. The price they quoted me over the phone to retrieve my car was completely arbitrary and different than the price they charged me the following day and also different than the prices listed at their business location. I am very concerned that the Destin police department has not gotten this "business" under control. They are talking about making America great again, but you just make people's lives more difficult... and this is coming from someone who politically agrees with you. The irony that I feel like I may have been targeted because of my California license plate. Also on the phone - he never even gave me the address of where I should pick up my car! Can you believe that?! The way Destin Towing conducted themselves on the phone and in person was with an overwhelming negative tone, no sense of empathy and overall their business was completely unprofessional. I hope the Destin Police Department gets this relationship under control. Their shady business practices have been documented countless times by others.

Rented a U-Haul truck from Tennessee to deliver at Destin towing‘s location. I cleaned out the back of it and it was immaculate. They told me not to worry about a bill and it would be sent to me and everything will be fine. The next day I get an electronic bill with a $25 cleaning fee. Fortunately I have a good credit card company that will decline that charge. But as noted in previous posts this place is run by slimey people. Avoiding at anybody cost dealing with them and especially having to go into their office where you get to see them in person spit tobacco into a trashcan on the desk.

Tevin and Casey just rescued us. We were stuck in an 18 wheeler after our job in sand. They came out and we were out in less than 30 minutes. Tevin along with three others helped guide us out of a sticky situation. Thank you for getting to us quickly and then out so we could be on our way. You two are awesome.

The owner of this establishment does not pay attention to details of anything and reading the current reviews only solidifies my position. In a nutshell, the City of Destin and Okaloosa County DO NOT need to be doing business with this person. This is not a military proud and supportive company but a small-time lazy scam artist waving the flag. Thankfully, my business with him was corrected by my insurance company (USAA) and all is well; he could have prevented this all though, by reading thoroughly his instructions. Not only an unprofessional businessman but incompetent as well.

Disappointing money hungry company. I had to park my car for about 5 minutes to bring my friend their dog back at the seafood festival. Within 5 minutes the tow truck was in the parking lot. I approached before my car was hooked up and explained my situation, and tried to get into my car. The driver was extremely rude and backed his tow truck up and hooked my car up and demanded $60 to unhook the car. There were about 20 other cars in the parking lot yet the driver cussed and demanded we had 6 minutes to go to an ATM before he would take our car. We understand it’s the way the business runs, but to only be stopped for 5 minutes to bring a friend back their dog when I have lived in the town my whole life is ridiculous.
