I only got just over $7 for 40 pounds of metal and some cans. I won't be back. There were no signs showing where to go either. I am giving two stars because the workers were helpful and everyone was nice.

Just called about price of cans,, doing some comparison to others one place was 55cent a lb another was 60cent a lb. Called this place lady told me 22cent a lb NOT
Was up there waiting in line for 30 min and at 3 they come out saying that they are close for the day. Shouldn't have hrs saying 5 if yall are going to close at 3

There are some extremely friendly people here and they're very helpful I have heard that there are places in town who may pay more but sometimes I am very willing to sacrifice a couple extra pennies for some quality friendly service! Thank you to Edward, and Chris these two guys are very personable and very helpful. More than willing to take their time and teach and have a few laughs. Thank you very much to Jody for running the front desk with a smile and of course because she handed me my money! Highly recommend Mohawk for the good prices as well as the great atmosphere!
My second choice for scrapping locations. Been going there once 2006. As long as you do your part then they are very helpful with doing theirs to get u your money quickly & without any issues. Headed there now
Missed another yard by 1 min and had to find another quickly. Normally, this doesn't end well but in this case I'm so glad it happened. We have a new yard for sure! Great service from Chris, super guy! And the prices are competitively high! We will see them again soon!
Stopped here to scrap some stuff I picked up at work. Never scrapped anything before. Chris was super helpful and patient and walked me through everything. Will be doing all my scrapping here in the future.
Biggest concern I had was that it was not marked where to go. So many people were driving up on the scale then forced to back up to go to the scrap side causing lots of unnecessary traffic. A simple sign when you first enter could fix the issue. Just be prepared to spend 45 minutes to an hour sitting and waiting until they fix the issue.
Price for scrap copper is also lower than other places in the area. Staff was nice, but i probably won't be back.
Edit: Thanks for taking the extra time to and block me from your system. Also to the stubborn owner that responded to this, hope you handle future complaints more seriously. This could have easily been edited to a better review but instead you handled it poorly. Not only will I not be back. I would not recommend anyone I know to this business. Hope you do better. Staff is very professional and very fair. I would recommend this place to anyone. Chris has been working there for a good while, he's always been very helpful to determine the various types of metals. If you're not sure ask Chris.
They need to give a little better prices and I would give Then four stars. Ashley is very helpful and friendly not to mention a hard worker and deserves A raise.
Drove an hour and ten minutes Got to yard a little late and without argument they opened the gate for us on a Sunday they were ready to go home these people are awesome. Definitely deserve more business
We just brought some metal to scrap and we were blown away with the service Chris provided. Very friendly and knowledgeable, he helped us get our items sorted by type which gave us a little extra. Thank you for being awesome!!!
Always been fair and upfront with me , guys at small scales were knowledgeable and gave competive prices . Lady at payout was professional and made the process quick and easy .
Are y'all open the day after Thanksgiving? It'd be a huge help if y'all were. We love going to this place as they are understanding and welcoming. Friendly and lenient with being a few minutes late at times. Especially when you need it the most they seem to come through the best they can to be able to help themselves and you both in as much ways they can. Thanks Mohawk have a great day.
Richard Dresher ticket was reviewed from yesterday& the passenger he was riding with name and the material that was purchased was 1 pound of insulated copper and 12 pounds of breakage in which the company normally doesn't take because of recovery rate was accidently weighed up at a price .01 cents a pound leaving a $1.08 difference in which yall should have received in which we at mohawk apologized for the mix up as well as inconvenience and would invite you back to pick up your 1.08 but from management's understanding the passenger and you had been banned twice and wasn't supposed to be on the property prior to that date because of a situation with the lady in the front office and as well as being asked to leave the property by the guy at that time on duty at the scrap pile who witnessed something being smoked out of a glass pipe while yall was in line in the vehicle.But again we are Sorry about the issue and hopefully it wont happen again,and thank you for shopping at Mohawk!
Biggest rip off ever copper is over $2.70 a lb only paid $1.27 a lb brass is over $1.60 a lb only paid $1.05 a lb. When asked why they said they were trying to slow down business for inspection but failed to tell us before we unloaded everything. So we got $167 for 83lbs of copper and 60lbs of brass. Not even half of the going rate
If you know how to drive through the mud you won't have an issue. They always have a good attitude in the ladies at the window are always nice. Got to love the old guy out back. Nice place to scrap
We started coming here after visiting scrapyard after scrapyard after pos scrapyard, and will always continue to come to Mohawk. You want fair prices and someplace you can rely on that will always be consistent? This is where you want to come. If you are considerate of their time and effort, they will ALWAYS return the same courtesy. You want to learn the ropes, and truly want to be better at scrapping? This is where you’ll want to show your patronage! FYI Eddie and John are awesome and definitely add to Mohawks hard working team!
The gentleman working the small scale was very proffessional and polite. Made my visit very very easy and enjoyable. Mohawks will certainly have ALL of my future buisness !!!
