parked illegally, got a boot (naturally). BUT, even at 3:37 AM, they picked up my call, and instantly dispatched someone to take the boot off. Nice dude, and prompt service. Can’t even be mad honestly

12 years in gainesville and I still remember the first time the illegally towed my car bavk in 2015 claiming I parked illegally while going to the bank. Their business model is as stupid as their ugly ugly trucks. I come back this review section ,YES out of pettiness, but mostly to remind ppl that superior towing sucks. Suppperrr sketchy stuff they do.. Google superior towing gainesville random smells, youll see... . Well, I'll probably be back here in 10 years to contine to prove my point.

Was verbally abused by Kevin D. Within a minute of him getting there he yelled at us to get out of our car and come up to his window after we waited for 30 minutes for him to arrive. Told him he has no right to verbally abuse his clients, said “you’re not my clients, the people who own this place are and you violated them.” Btw my mom was here for parents weekend, royal village gives out too many visitor passes than it has spots for and had no choice but to pay for $80 parking thru the boot.

I’ve been booted three times in about six weeks: twice in the apartment complex’s paid parking garage and once in my girlfriend’s building (I was parked for roughly 30 minutes to help bring up groceries). Every time I tried to resolve it, the tow company said they were enforcing apartment rules and the apartment office said the tow company handles enforcement — so neither will take responsibility. The only specific reason given was that my car supposedly wasn’t a “compact,” despite fitting well within the painted lines and with cars parked nowhere near me. This felt like a confusing, avoidable expense (each boot/tow is expensive) and poor coordination between property management and the tow company. Whether the fault lies with the apartments or the towing company, the result is the same: residents — especially students on tight budgets — get charged for unclear or inconsistently-applied rules. This company sucks and I hope they get shut down.

Nothing puts the "superior" in Superior Towing like putting a boot on my car even though I had a parking pass fully visible on the dash and showing up nearly 2 hours after being called to then be condescending and unhelpful. Extremely unserious company.

I’m giving this company a 4 because of the driver (Paul) who came to unboot my car after the Gator game on Saturday night. I had been parking in that same lot probably for the last 15-20 years, but apparently after last football season switched over to paid parking without my knowledge. Anyway, although I could have handled the situation better, Paul was so calm and cool and went about his job without raising his voice or showing disrespect to me. He was very professional and courteous and did not ever engage in arguing. So, thank u Paul because u probably have to deal with a lot of “stuff” from unhappy people. If this ever happens to me again, I will definitely consider that person who are performing their job and making a living for themselves and their families.

Watched as their flatbed, driver drove down the road getting into the turning lanes to go around other cars and then back into traffic because he was in too much of a rush with a loaded vehicle. Then he honked at cars because they didn't move as soon as the light went green.

They towed my car a couple miles because it broke down now they want me to pay over 1 thousand dollars that i don't have just to release it. Company basically stole my 20 year old bmw that isn't even worth but a couple thousand regardless it was my first car and i planned to keep it forever and restore it. When i asked for options and told them the situation they gave me 0 solutions. Garbage company run by scam artists do not do business with them.

Parking restrictions were lifted during move out for a friend’s apartment and i parked at the future resident spot for her to go into the office confirm everything she needed to leave with them and then leave her keys in the apartment while i went to pick up some last few boxes. Her pass was in my car but not hanged and they were claiming i was a resident and i couldn’t have her pass inside my car. So in that logic i can’t have a passenger’s belongings in my car and i asked them to verify with the complex that the pass did not match either my name or my car’s information as they were not mine! Woman on the phone contradicted herself multiple times. At any point I raised ny voice at her and was talking normally. She consistently yelled at me after talking over me multiple different times and she put me on a hold and did not come back to help me at all. I ended up paying unfairly. Frustrating situation but at peace knowing i’ll never deal with them ever again as i’m graduating and the lady will be forever at a low end job scamming students not knowing how to control her ridiculous anger issues with customer service. 0/10.

I genuinely feel sorry for anyone who has to deal with this incredibly unprofessional towing company. My son had a friend visiting his apartment complex, and despite having a valid guest pass displayed, the company still placed a boot on the car. They claimed they couldn’t see the expiration date, even though they placed the boot on the start date. I attempted to dispute the issue by calling, but received no assistance—even after calling the police. I decided to use basic speaking skills and tried to discuss with the company’s receptionist but unfortunately, she decided to not be reasonable and was very rude. When I asked if she would be willing to personally lose $80 over a mistake made by their company, she simply hung up on me. Absolutely unacceptable behavior. I don’t know how companies like these stay in business and I hope their day is as pleasurable as they are.

Rude, racist, and uncaring people. My wife went to get some things at CVS and came out to a boot on the car. She called the company and was met with a rude dispatcher who wouldn’t tell her how long the guy would be to remove the boot and that he wasn’t going to bother himself to contact the dispatcher to see how long he was going to be. Mind you, it’s 9:30 pm, so it’s dark, she’s a woman, and she’s alone. When the guy did get there to remove the boot, he parked behind her diagonally and beeped the horn for her to get out the car to meet him. She rolled down the window confused like “why are you beeping?!” He said “for you to get out the car, I’m not coming to you, you’re coming to me!” She expected him to come to the car to talk to her and not the other way around because he has to come to the car anyway to remove the boot and again, it’s 9:30 pm and she’s a woman and alone, why would she approach a car that late?? They both get out the car and I’m hearing over the phone that he’s yelling at her and telling her to “shut up or I’m leaving and you’ll have to find another way to remove it!” She also mentioned that he told her “you are gonna realize life ain’t fair and if you don’t like it, then you can leave this country!” This was a white man yelling this at my wife who is Latino! I’m very upset and I’d like this guy to be fired, UNACCEPTABLE!!!!!!

Just wanted to say in addition to the predatory and awful business practices employed by this company: Their driver just attempted to run me and my pregnant wife off the road because we wanted to pass them before hitting a merge lane, which clearly made the driver upset because he’s probably compensating for something and needed to not be passed on the road and did not want to allow us to get in front of him despite there being plenty of space! Great job from a professional driver who should know better while driving for the company! This happened at roughly 10:30pm tonight near archer and 75th in case the company sees this and wants to reprimand this driver and do the right thing for once in their entire crappy existence.

I Literally just got out of the vehicle scanned the code and booked parking online 12pm-2pm. Got a ticket with 1159am. Arrived the parking no less than 2 minutes. Still given a 80$ ticket. Called the hotline but the girl on the phone who ever she is, is not helpful and was not giving any solution or even listen. She just say you need to pay no explanation.i booked in park on the fly website with proof of time. A hotline is where you listen to your costumer and find a solution not harassing a person to pay and threatening a police will come. I hope the call is recorded and im still very respectful throughout the conversation. The person who put clamp in out car is just lurking as soon as you get out of the car he will clamp it. All they think about is you have to pay now. Its just money. My hard earned money. My mistake is i still pay to hastened the process because we are heading to the hospital not wasting time i have to bring my wife to the hospital. Not all people who park in the abuse the place and never pay. In a matter of seconds or a minute booked online was done.

Thank you Superior Towing for simply being the best. You stand out from other towing companies whom have given my car a second chance, but not you. I parked at 6:03 pm and within seconds, you were on sight. There is no more efficient service that I have witnessed. As you may notice, some of your reviews are pretty negative, and that, I do not understand. You are always there without fail. Rain or shine. Day or night. They are targeting people my wife parked at Wendy's went to go get her dying mother food came out and then they put a boot on her vehicle this is why this company has one Stars this should be illegal come to find out Wendy's contracts these scumbags to boot vehicles for people that are just trying to see their loved ones in the hospital when they know how hard it is to park over there!? They sit there and watch you and instead of warning you they put a boot on your vehicle and charge you $120 and you don't see that till you find out your mother-in-law's dying when you come out and there's a boot on your vehicle!!!

This place is horrible. Do not use this place. The lady at the front is very rude. She did not care about my circumstances, being that my car was stolen 2 years ago and I live 3 1/2 hours away. Would not give me no information on the car, the condition, if the keys were in the car, pictures nothing. All she did was threaten to take possession of the car. I make the trip up there, and she then wants to be nosey, asking questions that have nothing to do with me getting the car back. Just do your job and mind your business. You dont get to be nasty and think I'm answering questions that are irrelevant just because you're nosey. Told me I owed a 1,000.00. Yeah, yall can keep that moldy car. Bye, Karen!

This company does not have bad reviews "because people don't like getting their cars booted" like they claim (word for word). Employees are beyond rude, pointing in people's faces, yelling at people, scaring people to the point they are asking others "not to make them mad" because they are scared of the emoyee who states "well you have no idea the day I've had" after hearing my grandmother is in the hospital down the street dieing. Employees on the phone are smug stating "you shouldn't have parked there then" when no one even denied they shouldn't have parked there. Will not acknowledge that the gentleman Kevin D should not have acted the way he did. On top of it they are telling people Wendy's is the one telling them to boot people's cars and it's wendys property. Wendys states yes its their company they use to boot and tow people, but that the place they're towing from is not their property. Whatever it is Kevin is going through, the company should not have had him working that position until he was ready for it. He's a walking liability. Also the company needs to inform the businesses they have contracts with it is their responsibility to maintain visibility of signs when it comes to trees and anything else property maintenance wise because the person I spoke to on the phone the first time for this comapny (who was not the rude smug one) said this is a common issue they have. Wendys property manager believed it was the towing company's responsibility because they had never been informed. Wendys should consider a contract with a different company.

Helping a friend move his niece out of an apartment after graduation. I saw them screaming at someone in the parking lot earlier in the day. And then when I was parked in the visitor section clearly marked they put a boot on my car. What an absolute scam disgusting company staff by disgusting individuals. I’d rather be a garbageman in Gainesville than work for this disgusting company. And look at all the Better Business Bureau complaints they have. And of course they not registered with Better Business Bureau. How could they be?

Such a gross company. Why do you suck money out of broke college kids? My boyfriend came over for the weekend at my apartment, I received the correct passes from Friday-Monday. I had to receive 2 passes, one for Friday and one for Monday. I guess the Monday one slipped up into the windshield and wasn’t visible completely. It was still visible that there were TWO passes but only one showed the full date. I understand the policy of “have the date visible” but you really can’t appeal that if you have evidence?? I completely understand if there is no evidence at all. But we literally have 2 passes, a log of my apartment’s passes, and security video footage of me going into the front office of my apartment to come get it. I guess we know for next time, but keep this in mind if you are parking in the Gainesville area.

My son's car was towed here after an accident where it was totaled. Going to retrieve the items and license plate and seeing it in that state was not pleasant, but the young lady at the front desk was very helpful and kind. I appreciated that.

**Superior Towing in Gainesville, FL is a SCAM – Avoid Them at All Costs!** My son was in an accident when a woman ran a stop sign and slammed into his car, which is registered under my name. The vehicle was towed to Superior Towing’s yard, and he needed to go to the hospital. Fast forward a few days: My insurance company called me asking if I had removed any personal items from the car, as they were planning to have it towed to their lot since it was likely going to be totaled. We live in St. Augustine, so getting to Gainesville isn’t a short trip. My son called ahead on Saturday to check if he could retrieve the items from the car today (Sunday), even though he wasn’t the registered owner. They told him, as long as the last name and address matched the registration, it would be fine. He went there today to collect the items, and the woman at the yard allowed him to start removing everything—until he got to the subwoofer and amp, which were just sitting in the trunk, not screwed in or mounted to anything. She immediately told him he couldn’t take them, claiming it was “state law.” When he asked why, she threatened to call the police and report it as theft if he took them. I was in law enforcement, and I’ve never heard of any such law. So, I called the woman, and she repeated the same thing—except this time, she admitted it was also their “policy.” I asked her why she lied and told us it was state law earlier, and she just hung up on me. I called Gainesville PD, and even the dispatcher was laughing at how ridiculous it sounded. Unfortunately I was told that this often happens at this particular yard and that a certain police sgt. is assigned to deal with their issues, he is not in until tomorrow. Superior Towing is nothing more than a bunch of deceitful crooks who make up their own fake laws in an attempt to bully people. Don’t fall for their lies. They will do anything they can to scam you and make your life harder. Stay as far away as possible from this shady company! Just another thing I will need to pass along to my attorney taking care of the accident.

The company only cares about getting money from you in rude ways. Lies about times when the truck will show up. Just real dirty

BEWARE!!! I paid for parking at Midtown Plaza Garage in Gainesville for the football game. I did this so my 70 year old grandad who I brought to the game with me could be closer. It says on our receipt from the parking pass “You may park anywhere that doesn’t say reserved” so we did. Got back to our car and we have a immobilized notice with a subject to tow. SEVEN other people with us had one too and receipts where they paid. We called the number no one picked up luckily one of the other people got in touch and a man named Kevin (employee #105723) with superior towing pulled up. I went up to Kevin and asked him why I had this on my car when I paid and he threw his hands up at me and yelled at me saying “anything past level 3 is resident parking ONLY and there’s a big sign explaining this” (it does NOT say this on the sign or on our parking receipt. So I yelled at him back naturally because it is 10:30 and I am trying to get my grandad home and he told me “congratulations you will be the last one to get your immobilizer removed. I was so angry. He came back around at 12:00 in the morning and wanted us to pay $90 for him to take it off. He told my grandad to walk to the atm and take our cash on the first floor. He has bad hips and cannot do that but luckily he had cash and handed him the cash. The man took it smiled at me and mocked me the ENTIRE TIME. He wrote us a receipt and we told him he will be hearing from our lawyers. He said “I’ve heard that too many times but good luck” and laughed as he drove away. The way he treated us was horrible and even though I was angry he was very aggressive even with my grandad who is down to earth and I was scared for my safety. Anyone else who has had this experience let me know.

Prompt pick up on the scene on Christmas Eve. This company was called by law enforcement not us! But was told by the driver he was the only one on duty and could not tow the truck to my home. Since it was Christmas Eve they would obviously be closed the next day (Christmas). The driver told us to call Tuesday and it could be towed to our home. He informed us they only charge $20/ day. ***LIE*** Today is Tuesday and we just paid OVER $300 to have our truck released from them only to have another company tow it to our home because they now say they do not service Putnam Co. RIP OFF TOWING COMPANY!!! Do not use this company if you can help it.

This place put a boot on my car within 5 mins that I left it. I literally gave proof that I wasn’t gone long. It was night time, didn’t see any no parking signs, the area was very dark and I found one lighted area went inside a nearby business for 5 mins receipt to prove it. Told the worker and he literally belittled me and told me the pay the fine, same with the phone rep. For a single mother of 3, 80 bucks for 5 mins could have really helped me pay my light bill or feed my children. Have a little grace, life is short and hard for those who really try. He didn’t even have time to fill out the notice Never will I wish bad on a business but those who steal from the less fortunate should pay eternally! Check out the invoice all of the info is missing. It’s literally a crime to steal.
