I never thought I’d say this about a towing company but I just had a really great experience with this company and Ray, the owner operator. The CV axel on my SUV broke (not sure if that’s the right verb) as I was backing out of my parking spot in the parking garage at work. It was stuck in the middle. I called AAA who sent a tow truck but unable to help due to not being able to get into the garage and not having the right equipment for my problem. This company was the lady called but certainly not the least. Ray was prompt, friendly, professional and very confident. He took pictures of my vehicle before loading it with the Tbar and after explaining the potential risk of damaging the car. He was very careful leaving the garage to be sure we’d clear and once we were out he got out to check that everything was fine. I rode in the car with him and we engaged in conversation the entire time. We have a lot of trees on our property but he was able to navigate expertly going backwards. Now my vehicle is parked in my driveway just how it needs to be and free of additional damage.
Thanks Ray for making this stressful evening a little better by getting my vehicle out of the garage. There were moments that it was seeming impossible. If any one needs a car towed I highly recommend this company - your car will be treated as if it’s his own.
Ray & Joe made breaking down in Gainesville a lot less messier than it could have been. They were attentive, early in meeting me for pickup, helpful in recommending a service station and courteous. The best of the best! They were called to tow my truck due to me not being able to retrieve the spare tie from under the truck. When he arrived he figured out how to lower the tire and he also changed the tire for me. Outstanding company.

My car broke down in a very bad spot, I called four other services before contacting them. When I got a lot of them they gave me a fair price and had my car picked up in moved quickly and efficiently. I’ve never seen a towing service with 5 stars before but they definitely deserve it
We would give Gatorback 10 if we could. Joe and Maria rescued us after we had to leave our truck at a dealership for an unexpected transmission replacement. We were traveling on I-75 with our 2 big dogs trailering our Winnebago. After we left the truck, we needed a trailer tow to an RV park, 17 miles away. Not only did Joe tow the trailer, he also gave us and our dogs a ride with him. Using Gatorback was a rose among a day filled with thorns. We unequivocally recommend Gatorback.
Joe was incredible…no other words for it. We broke down in heavy traffic and he was at most twenty minutes to our location. Rush hour in Gainesville no less. Within 10 minutes he had us hooked up and en route to the dealership for service. He knew the system, the players, and he was clean, neat, polite and friendly.

This is a review worth writing! The customer service is unparalleled. I was broke down in Lake Butler for several hours waiting on AAA to find me a tow to Ocala (unsuccessfully). While waiting (at 9pm), I called Gatorback on my own and spoke with Ray who was quite familiar with my AAA experience. He had a wrecker enroute immediately, to which Jeremy arrived in 45 mins flat. This was 10pm at night and he had it loaded in 10mins. Both Ray & Jeremy were so understanding, professional, and it felt like a family company. This is not like any other towing company, dont even consider anyone else!

Amazing help when I needed it! Attempting to turn around in an unfamiliar location during a rain storm. While backing up I slid the front passenger tire over a parking curb leaving it with no ground support! These guys were awesome, showed up quick, pulled my car and yeah no damage to my vehicle!! I’m from Texas and was riding my bike to the bottom of FL and broke down and these guys came to rescue me when no one else would help me because it was mothers day and Sunday. As soon as i called them they drove over an hour just to get me and my bike. Then even better they dropped it off at the shop for me without me even being there. Best tow experience i’ve ever had.
