Jason shaw screamed at me and accused me of fraud and left me out of gas for 6 hours in the cold. He has triple a monopolized and told my mother and I they only get money from a tow. Cliffs brought me supposedly 2 gallons of gas twice and my car wouldn’t start. My mom bought me two more gallons and it started. Jason shaw should not be allowed to work for triple a. Jason is there ever an excuse for a “man” to dcream at a 72 year old woman. If the driver didn’t write the correct number down sorey- he literally copied it from the first bill!
This company is extremely rude and hostile. The reviews aren’t lying. Horrible company to deal with. Nothing but lies they tell you. They said my insurance will total my car if I go through insurance which was a lie. Then I find out they can’t even make that judgement call. An insurance adjuster has to and they contract one who works in their favor from what I’ve heard. Insurance covered my bill with the exception of a few things. This company tried scaring away from insurance because if insurance gets involved they have to actually show the break down of everything they do. No insurance means they can screw you over with fake repairs.
The other reviews aren’t lying the guy who answers the phone is unbelievably rude. Kind of ridiculous considering your calling in asking for help. Don’t waste your time with these guys.
Truck parked in the driveway of my building and driver kept honking the horn. Politely asked him to stop, he got angry, swore at me, called me a Karen, then told me to get back in my apt "or else". Called the business line and a sleepy man said they were backed up because of the holiday weekend and didn't know what was going on, but that he'd look into it.
Response to the owner: The plan was to ask which of my neighbors he was there for and then I would have knocked on their door and told them their tow truck was here. But your driver decided to start screaming and threaten me. My asking him to stop honking so I could speak to him should not have resulted in him threatening a resident, and you should be grateful the police were not contacted. Something like that could seriously jeopardize your contract with the state police.
10/11 Absolute disgusting service. Accepted a call from AAA 2 hours prior. At that time tow truck seemed to be about 45 min away. However as he was approaching about 10 min before arriving he stopped and sat around for at least 25 minutes. Which prompted me to call triple A again which "coincidentally" started to move the tow truck again. Once he got here driver refused to take tow to my home location due to him already maxing out his 66 hour work week apparently. Pretty sure max is 70. Prior to that I had to already Uber my family with a new born home so we can use another car to drive out again for 4.5 to NH to hopefully starting our vacation, and thank God I did. The only option driver provided is to take it to the his shop and bring it whenever they feel like the next day. Yet again that is after the call was accepted. Once they showed up and letting me know about no go, although I requested the driver to wait for solution they canceled the call on me while I was talking to AAA. Dear managment 100% your fault for doing such a terrible job. I run a trucking company I know what hours of service are and how they work and how to manage them properly. Looks like you are pretty good at blaming AAA, according to your driver and over reviews. Unless you just milking AAA and other customers based on customer feedback for storage fees. Which is just lazy, lame, non creative, looser like business practice. Do a better job or just quite your industry. If you are stuck somewhere DONT NOT USE THIS BUSINESS. Probably will come out worse then before calling this unprofessionals. @AAA really consider dropping them as a partner, they bad mouth you regardless. No need to give them business only reflects bad on you.
Takes advantage of young driver. Very rude. Car towed from an accident, charged us to take medication and medical equipment out of it. Charged ridiculous outside storage. Damaged car more that was from the accident. Had my car towed from them to a reputable autobody repair shop.
My son hit a tire in the middle of rt44 in Pomfret this morning.....and it got wedged under the car. His insurance co sent Cliffs out to tow. They got there in a little over an hour (not bad for this early morning). Driver was professional and got the car on the truck super quick. Great job!
The man who answers the phone is very rude and unprofessional. Myy car has been there for 30 days and I desperately need the car. I need to get a kidney Transplant patient to umass for appointments and this man had no empathy. When I get my car back I will never use this place again.
I had a car towed there after my wife got t-boned. Rick was very aggressive and Unprofessional. He tried to intimidate my wife. He bad mouthed and lied about our insurance company and also other repair shops. He tries to double charge.
Worst tripple aaa experience ever tow truck driver didn't wanna tow the car is calling me off his personal number to harass MeI'm waiting in the parking lot with my disability child for him not to even show up .don't depend on cliffs or you'll end up stranded
My passenger tires were stuck in a rut on the side of the road. They did a great job pulling me out of a tough spot. Got here super fast and were very professional. Thanks again!!
I was stranded at 11:30 pm on a cold night in what might as well have been the middle of nowhere and called AAA for a tow. They assigned me this company and gave me an ETA that I felt was too long but whatever; beggars can't be choosers.
When you get an tow with AAA the driver is supposed to reach out to you 30 mins before the ETA to check on you and tell you they're on the way. I know this all too well from getting many tows over the years. I never got my call.
I reached back out to AAA ten minutes after the ETA only to be told my tow would be here "soon". I waited 30 minutes after the ETA (alone and cold, remember) and at this point it was after 1 am. They didn't show and I ended up getting help from someone else.
Long story short: this company is unreliable and they shouldn't be part of a 24/7 roadside assistance service if they aren't ready and willing to deal with these situations with a sense of urgency.
They did an amazing job on my Jeep after “a deer hit me!” They did the work with in 2 weeks, they were very nice and pleasant to me and my car was super clean (my car has light grey leather so I was nervous). My family will never go anywhere else!!!! They offer towing too. Great place great people!!

Past couple days I have been calling to see about my boyfriends truck that got towed about a month ago. My boyfriend is in the hospital and I’m trying to relieve some pressure for him when he gets out. Every time I call, same guy is very short and rude with me. Some days are busier than others I understand but not an excuse to be rude. I called this morning and he says it’s been there over a month we open at 8 in short tone and hangs up. Mind you, there are no business hours online. Not helpful in the slightest. Avoid getting towed to Cliffs Auto! They will avoid your questions so they can add more storage days and hang up on you.
Car suddenly died. Called AAA. Within 10 minutes Cliff's Towing showed up. Dayton (hope I spelled his name correctly) had to re-direct my car so that he could load on the flat-bed. He did the whole job effortlessly while I just stood by. He drove the two of us to the garage which was about 1 mile away. He was kind and courteous and most pleasant. Within those few minutes I met a young man with very strong work ethics! What an asset he is to Cliff's.
Can't even get into the place to see the damage to my own vehicle. Guy in the office was very rude and told me to leave until the next day. Won't be doing any business with cliffs in the future.
