I purchased a 2019 Jeep Cherokee from New Milford Auto Group and experienced ongoing mechanical issues beginning at the time of sale. During the initial test drive, the vehicle’s start/stop warning light was already illuminated. I was assured by the owner that the issue would be repaired prior to or shortly after purchase. I also notified the dealership of a burning smell coming from under the hood and expressed concern regarding a possible leak (all of which I have in emails!)
Despite these concerns being reported, the dealership retained the vehicle on three separate occasions, each for approximately one week, allegedly to diagnose and repair the problem. I was informed that the vehicle had even been taken to the Jeep dealership in New Milford for evaluation. After each visit, I was repeatedly told that I simply needed to continue driving the vehicle and the warning light would eventually clear itself.
As of the end of May, the start/stop issue remains unresolved. In addition, I have since learned that the burning smell was caused by a coolant leak under the hood requiring significant repairs. Based on the condition of the vehicle and the ongoing nature of the issue, it appears the defect either existed or should reasonably have been identified prior to the sale of the vehicle.
Consumers should carefully document all communications, obtain independent inspections when possible, and fully understand their rights under Connecticut’s used vehicle consumer protection laws before purchasing from this dealership.
They act like they don’t want to sell any cars lol. I went there once the brakes of the car felt like they were going to fall out. I then came back to look at a car a different time which was at their storage unit. He said come back tomorrow it would be there we made an appointment came back the next day no one knew what I was talking about. He said he get the car and call and never did. I was pretty serious about the car but why would I want to buy from someone like you?
Great experience! This was my first time buying a car and, they made the process easy and stress-free. The staff was very helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly, and took the time to answer all my questions. I felt comfortable and confident throughout the entire process. Highly recommend!

I bought my car a year ago from here, a few months later my car started experiencing minor problems. I then wanted to try trading it in so I brought the car to Subaru, they told me it was the worst case they have ever seen and my car is worth $0, has severe structural damage and it is unsafe to drive. More recently the engine started acting up, now it needs a complete new engine and it’s been in the shop for 2 weeks. I still owe $11k on this piece of junk. Would not recommend this place. Since I can’t comment back on the response, I’m editing this review. You don’t have any record of me really??? Do I need to post a photo of my payment and everything? I will if you’d like. And I did contact you guys a few times. I brought my car to mechanics local to me since you guys are in Connecticut. Every mechanic that has looked at the car told me how horrible the condition is. And yea you guys gave me one year warranty, it’s past that year.
Was recently left in a hard place after my traverse was rear ended and totaled. I did not want to pay a big dealer some insane amount because I had no trade in, so when I found a nice 16 Acadia at New Milford Auto Group I was excited. I dropped in one day and it turned out to be the one of the best car buying experiences I've had. I've always bought used but always from big dealers, i.e. Healy, and while nice, not a single one hooked me up like the guys at New Milford Auto. Everyone was super helpful but I was confused after a few days of waiting after doing all the paperwork, however when I picked up the car it had all new brakes, rotors, tires, oil, wipers, a hood strut, and I had noticed the passenger window not going down, they even ordered the switch for me at no cost to me. I mean I've never had a dealer put new brakes and tires on a car AFTER I buy it let alone fix anything besides a wiper blade. I highly recommend New Milford Auto Group and I'm happy to say the next time I need a car I'll be back.
My boyfriend bought a car from them, which he paid for in cash. This car was registered in my name, and only now, after almost 6 months, I tried to register another car and I couldn't because this dealer sent an incomplete title application to the DMV for the car I bought from them. I had a lot of headaches trying to resolve this and, to this day, I haven't been able to register my other car because of this carelessness on their part. I don't recommend them to anyone, save yourself some time and headaches!

The new owners have no customer service. The car had multiple problems within the first month of ownership. Some of the problems should have been resolved with a pre delivery inspection before the sale.
Just stay away. Not worth the headache.

Lucas was very helpful with answering any and all questions I had (and there were many ?) the car I wanted ran extremely well and we could tell that they had put new breaks in plus they made sure we had access to the car fax and could see all the work that had been done on it. The price was well within reason and I felt like I was taking home a brand new car vs a used one! I highly recommend them if you are looking for a car as they will definitely work with you and help with any concerns you have!

I went to purchase a car.1st red flag was They told me to lie to the bank and say the car is at my house. 2nd red flag was they said it would be ready in 2 days wasn’t done 3rd red flag was the customer service was horrible and disrespectful. BY LAW YOU CAN SELL A CAR THAT WONT PASS EMISSIONS! In stead this horrible place sells the car gets your money and then fixes it. Hold on to it till warranty is up and then gives you the car. Wouldn’t even recommend this place to my dead grandma.
Wonderful to work with, test drive went great. Very knowledgeable about the car and quick to answer any questions I had.
